It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. What is your favorite doll size and why

Jan 14, 2010

    1. I like MSD (35-45 cm for me) because it's not so little (I'm not very good with my hands) and not so big : I find it hard to keep the SD, I think they sway all the time: (

    2. I really like SD sized a lot. Between 60-72cm is great. MSDs are nice but are just too small for me. I eventually want a yo-sd because I like the idea of a practically pocket sized bjd to keep with you... but they are really small and hard to keep track of and if I were to lose it, that would break my heart.

    3. I love SD dolls because, they are beautiful like all the rest and BIG!! I love big dolls, but I do still have MSD, and some Yo-sd :)

    4. I do prefer MSD size. Also tiny I must say! :aheartbea

    5. I must be polydollyamourous - LOL! I have dolls of the sizes 1:12, 1:6, 1:4, 1:3 and 65cm. I love them all for different reasons, though the mature minis and 58-60cm girls are my faves for sewing and carrying around to cons and meets. I doubt that I will buy any other 1:6 or 1:12 size dolls, but I've learned to never say never in this hobby.

    6. I love SD dolls. I like adult images more.

    7. I like SD-sized dolls and Yo-sized tinies the best, but I have many different sizes. I just love the size and weight of the larger dolls, but for photographing I love the smaller sizes.

    8. I like MSD sized dolls the best. SD and bigger are really heavy to carry around and the tiny's might get lost.

    9. I'm staying in the MSD price range because it's all I can afford right now. Don't get me wrong, so far I can say I love the MSD size, though I would love to see an SD in real life to make a judgement on the difference in sizing. Not only the bigger size, I also like SD because they're more mature than the MSD.

    10. I love tiny doll, once though about having a large doll, but seems like i still need to step slowly to first from lati to yosd size :) I think I like them as little kids :))

    11. I especially love the 60cm ones, but my very first doll is a Yosd. XD Yosd are so tiny and are easy to carry everywhere, which is very convenient! But comparing to 60cm dolls, I still love the latter more not only because they are big (I love to hug dolls and you know, yosd size are way too tiny to "hug".) and also they are more mature in the face and body, making them more like friends of mine. :D

    12. Due to the prices, I wish the largest dolls weren't my favorite... But I can't help it! They feel more realistic. Also, because they're bigger, they can be more detailed, and their faces are often more adult, which is another thing I really look for in dolls. Long story short, SD is definitely my favorite. :D

    13. I'm a big fan of MSDs and 27cm dolls. Because they are easier to tote around. However I love the bodies and sculpts of the SDs. And love the sculpts and the bodies of 70cm dolls even more. Now if they could make a MSD with the sculpt and body of 70cm dolls (Which I think Fairyland has done) Then I would only stick with MSDs. But Because they don't (or at least not many do) I get SDs and 70cm dolls.
But to answer your question. I like MSDs the most. ^^

    14. My favorite is SD sized, but I own three MSDs while only having one resin SD and one DD...I've always preferred the bigger size for some unidentifiable reason. However, I also know that I personally can't handle carrying an SD for long periods of time. Even my DD hurt my arm after having her at Otakon all weekend. I've never carried my resin SD for an extended period of time, but I imagine that it wouldn't go very well at all. I'd love to have another SD or two, but I feel like I'll stick with smaller dolls anyway because I simply lack the strength to carry SDs easily.

    15. Right now, I've only been exposed to 1/6 sizes. My two are 23cm and I've held a friend's doll that was a little taller than that. Right now, I feel like 1/6 is a great size and I'm a little scared at the prospect of a 1/3 sized doll because I'm worried I'll get him and go 'holy crap he's huge!' and be really intimidated by doing anything with him or whatever because I haven't been exposed to or seen/held one in real life to get a feel for the size and everything.

    16. I prefer MSD's, because I have heard they are easily portable and SD's are a little bit too big for me, they almost creep me out! :S
If I will get a doll, I would love to carry it around, and I don't want to get muscle-pain because of the weight of a MSD. Maybe in the future I will buy a SD, but I am planning to keep it first with MSD's.

    17. I like MSD-dolls, it is my very-very lovely size, because they are not so small and not so big, golden middle.

    18. I really love my MiniFee girl, and I think it is because she is big enough to sew for easily, but not so big that she's hard to handle with one hand while sewing/measuring. My SD girls I find it hard to move them around one handed, where as Nyne, my MiniFee, I just pick her up one handed, and can generally measure bits I need and move things around in a way that works well. Although I do love my PukiFees, and they're itty bitty!

    19. I like MSD, they occupy less space on them easier to sew and in terms of creation of photo stories easier to create for them entourage)

    20. I like 60-70 cm (SD size)

I think that dolls in this size are suitable to sewing and they are most in the grown up age That I think I can play my characters in 18-25 year old.

SD size also have a beautiful body(muscle) too!!!
