What is your favorite doll size and why

Jan 14, 2010

    1. Hm difficult question, I really like the big guys 60-80 cm because they're so huggable^^but i also love MSD size they're so much easier to pose because they're much lighter then those big resin hunks. :)

    2. SD size! I only own MSD, and haven't had anything else but SDs are just so big 0.0. They would be great to have by your side to hug and cuddle with during a movie or something.

    3. Starting to quickly become MSD's. Can put more detail into clothing, can find in scale props a lot easier and it's just nice to cuddle them.

    4. Though I only have one right now, I really like 70cm dolls. I'm a fan of taller things, and though the weight is sometimes burdensome when I'm lugging him around at a convention, I kinda like the fact that he has some weight to him. Dunno if that makes much sense.

    5. My favorite is MSD. I find them to be substantial, but they do not take up to much space on my self. Sewing clothing for them can be challenging, and I sometimes think of trying with an SD because that would be much easier, but it is just to much of a size jump for me!

    6. I love SD and MSD, but MSDs are the best size for my room, for travel...And Junior Delfs. Perfect size :)

    7. I like my SD dolls best for sewing, but when it comes to bringing dolls to meets or transporting them my MSDs are so much more portable.

Anything smaller than MSD isn't for me, I have trouble sewing for anything that small.

My Supergem ladies are a bit much sometimes. I love them to bits but I wish they were a bit less well-endowed. It's hard to dress them.

    8. Definitely MSD size - sewing for them doesn't seem so bad after sewing for smaller 1/6 adult dolls and I agree they're great for travel and taking up less space. I just find the SD size dolls too big and heavy and I can't imagine having one in my small apartment! In also not interested in any tinies that are babies/toddlers as I really only like adult dolls. I'm not a massive fan of real life babies either...

    9. I love SD size, though my MSD's and smaller dolls are much easier to pose... But I guess I just like to see a big, beautiful doll sitting on my self. :)

    10. I think I prefer MSD sized dolls, though I have never owned an SD before so I may be a little biased. I just feel like anything smaller than an MSD is too small and usually look too young for my liking while SD dolls seem too big, dauntingly so, but they do have some very pretty sculpts.

    11. I like MSD most, SD are just too big, and well, I don't mind tiny ones but my problem is I generally prefer women not kids, so it is "hard" enough to find beautiful grown up MSD sculpts, it's impossible in smaller sizes... I wish they did make small dolls look like adults too.

    12. I find that I'm the most fond of the SD size. :) I can make clothes for them more easily than other sizes, and there's a lovely sense of weight when I'm holding and hugging them. My Iplehouse EID guy gets a little hefty, but it's to be expected with all that muscle, haha. x3

MSD size is definitely in second place, though. They're a bit more compact and fit for travel! I'm hoping that I can add a little MSD boy to my family soon! :)

    13. SD 13 ! Because SD 17 is too tall and MSD is too short ? :p

    14. I prefer 1/6th size because as a short person (4'9") they are more proportionate to my body size than the larger sizes. however, I've only ever had 1/6th so i might have a different opinion if i had more exposure to other sizes. I'm ordering an MNF soon and i'm a little apprehensive about the jump in size. my littlefee is already the length of my forearm!

    15. MSDs are my favorite size, I just find them easier to work with.

    16. I like YoSDs and smaller because it is easier to travel with them in my handbag (with a pillow of course). No need for special carrying bag!

    17. For me it's tinies. I just find them so cute and they remind me of little fairies. I tried to get into the YoSD size but I've sold just about every one I've owned. I think they are too big. I may give them another try. I quite like Fairylands LF Bisou. I think the problem with that one is that the mold looks so much like a toddler and that makes me rather have it in a tiny size. *sigh*

I can't even imagine owning a MSD or SD size doll. I think that is just too big for me :sweat

    18. I'm the 60-75cm type but only because the sculpts I find suitable to portray my characters are around that size.

    19. MSD is my favorite doll size, by far! It's very manageable and dolls of these size don't take up too much space. I find the 70cm and 60cm to be a bit too large for my taste, not to mention buying clothes for them can be extremely pricey. Tinies are a bit too small, and are always made to look like little kids, I'd rather have more mature looking dolls!

    20. Not sure why but I seem to prefer Tinies my favourite being Zuzus and Tiny Delfs by Luts I just find them so cute. I am not saying that bigger ones are not stunning but I think I just personally prefer cute to stunning. Think I am just a bit in awe of the bigger ones which is not really something I am looking for in a doll.
