What is your favorite doll size and why

Jan 14, 2010

    1. I like how SDs look, their outfits have a lot more definition than smaller dolls and are probably easier to make, but I prefer MSDs as it's easier for me to carry them around

    2. I prefer MSD's for their size, but SD's for their more mature sculpts. Being a smaller woman, I find the size of my SD to be a tad overwhelming, but I still love him to pieces nonetheless. MSD's are the perfect size for me I find, and they're much easier to travel with!

    3. I love all sizes, though I'm particularly fond of tinies and SDs. I find that the SDs have clothing that is a bit more detailed (and often easier to make) but the tinies are just so adorable! I don't personally find SDs too big, though they do take up a lot more of my limited space than my MSDs do. I guess that all doll sizes have pros and cons.

    4. I currently only own MSD's and their portability and smaller size is a big reason I love the sculpt size as much as I do. I think I'll probably get an SD sized doll or two simply because I adore some SD/70cm clothing that just can't be replicated in smaller sizes. Like suits. XD

    5. I adore huge dolls, bigger that the average SD. I always find myself drawn to huge sculpts, even without knowing their size at first. I think they make such a statement, like they demand attention for being so large. I also love their weight- I need dolls with substance damn it!! That being said I do love and own a good handful of MSD's as well! I appreciate them for their portability haha. While I own an tiny and two YO's, I sadly don't feel the same crazy passion for them as I do bigger ones. Strange!

    6. I find myself gravitating towards YOSD. I think it has a lot to do with space. I would love to have an SD someday.

    7. I have an SD girl, two MSD's and four YoSD's. Funnily enough, it's the SD size I prefer lol even though I have more smaller dolls, though I am paying off a second SD sized doll.

    8. I love SD dolls because it is more easy to sew for them. I also have one 16 cm doll, and this size is for me good for traveling. But I think I love my sd doll the most.

    9. I go back and forth? I currently own more SDs than anything, because I like the size. 60cm - 70cm seems to be about the perfect range for me. But I love love love my MSD boy’s size, too. He’s just so light and precious~~ I’ve got another his size on order and I’ve been debating whether I want to go ahead and get a MiniFee or not. They’re so dainty! Of course, I think that and then I see some 70cm sculpts that melt me and change my doll plans in one fell swoop, so... lol

    10. Definitely my favorite will be msd. I love their size and cuteness. But I want to explore the sd size too.(I have 2 Sd's on lawayay:wiggle) I am not interest in tinies but maybe a yosd for a kid in my msd story will be cute. Dont get me wrong, I love the tiny size for dolls but I have an azone collection that satisfies me completely.:aheartbea

    11. 60-70cm range. No question. Out of 10 dolls in my household, 8 are SDs. I have one 28cm and one MSD, and they're cute and all. But I'm more drawn to mature sculpts. You find mature-looking dolls more readily in the SD size.

    12. YOSD is the size range I seem to prefer, though I love them all. Small enough for picking up and posing at my desk and big enough that eye changing, redressing and restringing isn't too terribly tedious.

    13. Right now, I think tiny BJDs are the best for me. I like MSD dolls too, but love that there are easily found dollhouses and props for tiny dolls. I also temporarily am dealing with having limited space for my things, and tiny dolls take up nearly no room on my crowded shelves.

    14. I love the MSD size! Preferably the MNF's! They are the perfect size for me!

    15. I'm gonna stick on MSD size for sure <3. I think I could get either mature or youthful looking sculpts on this size category just fine. Plus mostly they have lower prices and definitely less fabric and space needed XD.

    16. My favorite size is YO-SD size because it's easier to find them props or furniture at their size for pictures. It's also a good size to sew, not too small to make nice details, but also not too large to don't spend too much on fabric and materials. And you can also find easily clothes/shoes cheaper than for bigger sizes. It's also a size which is easy to carry out. And it doesn't take too much place at home so you can have plenty in the display case. :p

    17. At the moment, I really like my female SD. She is 58cm and so easy to carry around (and not even close to being as heavy as Vio, my 73cm boy). In general, i prefer dolls that are more mature looking so I prefer SDs. But lately, YoSds with Fantasy Parts (especially hooves) have been sneaking their ways into my heart and I may or may not am tempted to get one to see how much I like them in real life.

    18. I have one YOSD, MSD and SD. I figured I should find out which size I liked best as soon as I can. For a while I loved my SD. I still love him but I am starting to realize I barely get to do anything with him because he is so big and heavy and it is just bothering me. what I really do like about SDs is hat their face is just right for a comfortable faceup. MSD faces are too small and its difficult to create a good face up on them. :| Never the less I'll stick to MSDs. If I find an SD I REALLY like...then maybe.

    19. I've made clothes for all sizes except for 70cm. SD, MSD and YoSD sizes are fine with me and I actually want to have dolls in each size. For now, its SDs in the 60cm range for me :)

    20. Personally, I am a fan of MSD size or larger. I have one MSD and love the size. I am waiting for a 70cm male doll now as well. I have trouble getting into the tiny dolls but they are very cute. Maybe after more experience in the hobby this will change . :)
