What is your favorite doll size and why

Jan 14, 2010

    1. If I pay 600$ for doll I want big piece of resin ;) Seriously .. I like big and realistic dolls with real shapes :) I like Carina size .. she's amazing and her weight isn,t problem for me :)

    2. I love SD boys (60-70cm)and short SD girls (55-59cm), mature MSDs (Minifee) and big YOSDs (~30cm). It really depends on my dolly budget and the character I want to create.
Edit: The only size I can't deal with it is the tiny size. Way too small for me.

    3. I love all sizes except the absolutely teeny-tiny ones (pukipukis etc.). Those are so extremely hard to sew detailed stuff for.
The reason I love all other sizes is basically because all my dolls are based off my OCs, and they come in all ages, shapes and sizes, so as long as a doll fits the character I want it to, I'm satisfied ^w^

    4. I really like the 70cm, but there is a certain appeal to every size... When I first got into the hobby (still pretty new, ha, ha) I had decided to only have similar sized BJDs because I didn't want them to look out of place next to each other. That went out the window when I saw the diversity of sculpts and that they were only available in their one size... I'm afraid I'm destined to have a huge medley of doll sizes!

    5. SD size, somewhere between 60- 68 cm, not more not less!

    6. Everything between 15cm and 25cm. I love my Pukifees and my Littlefees, they are perfect to pose and carry around. Tinier dolls are to small for me, I don't do anything with my PukiPuki. I have a 34cm doll on the way and at the moment I am not sure if that will be too tall for me. Let's hope for the best :)

    7. I'm with you, Lil Spark. Tinies, anything between 15cm and 28cm, are my favorites. They don't take up too much space (unless there's a lot of them). And I love my BBB and RS tinies because they can wear LIV and Barbie clothes, and I'm an absolute chicken when it comes to actually making clothing for my girls.

    8. I have an SD, MSD, Tiny Anthro, and a 23cm coming from MoC. I'm still working out which size is my favorite and honestly right now, I love them all.

I have so many characters of all shapes and sizes that I really do choose each doll based on their personality. And I love all my characters, so regardless of size, I love them all.

If I HAD to pick a favorite size......I'd lean towards MSD simply because they're a good middleground for me but again....I love SD and Tinies too >.<

    9. I prefer bigger doll's. Just because I find that they are more proportionate for when I use them to draw, or want to take pictures. That, and all my own character's are more mature then younger

    10. i always buy Msd,so i can't really say i don't like SD size dolls.

    11. i love all dolls from fairyland :D every one of their dolls are gorgeous and has an amazing range of poseablity :3

    12. I only have one resin girl right now and she's 1/3 or 60 cm. I have 2 1/4 girls on the way though. So I can't really say if I like the smaller girls yet, but I'm gonna venture that I'll probably like both. Not too find of tinys though. I just don't like that they look like babies. I don't want baby dolls lol. The only tiny I want is the Illusion Spirit Spirit doll, the one with fairy wings. She's tiny but still has a more "mature" looking body.

    13. I'm obsessed with tinies! Mostly anything under 25cm I can deal with- I love the lati white sp size and will soon have 3! They are so portable and easy to store- just wish they weren't so exxy for the size lol

    14. MSD around the 40-45cm range.

    15. I just got a 1/4 girl in the mail so I'm gonna have to update my stance. I'd have to say I like them both. I like the 1/3 dolls b/c they're just soo big lol and they just have this presence. However I really like my new 1/4 girl. She's just adorable. Plus she can fit just about anywhere like on the only clean part of my desk. My 1/3 girls can't and aren't as portable I guess.

    16. My taste in dolls usually leans toward the SD size for some odd reason, but I like all sizes for different reasons. I think MSD's are better for carrying around when you're out and about, and tinies are just plain adorable. :aheartbea

    17. MSDs are easily my favourite. When I opened my first MSD my reaction was "WOW SHE'S HUGE!" so I think an SD would be too big for me :sweat
I like the price of MSDs more too. I like how they don't look really mature but don't look like kids at the same time too, I like cute dolls, so in the middle is best for me~ I do have a Yo-SD and I do love her but the MSDs just seem to have more facial detail. So; the price, the perfect size and the perfect appearance. :)

    18. Yo-SD and smaller! I just got my first Pukifee and thought she might be too small but she's perfect. I can't imagine liking anything larger than a Yo-SD.

    19. I love larger dolls, just the scale of them is really awesome, especially since I grew up on Barbie doll sized dolls.

    20. I have had every size doll 70cm - tiny (except for a really beefy guy.)

My favorite by FAR is the luts delf size 60cm. Just a perfect size in my opinion. Hefty enough, but still portable. And just darling.
