1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I only buy dolls, when I see the story and the character, even when I like to sew it is more for the character so i think I'm a Dreamer ^^

    2. I'm a collector I think, (there are so many dolls I would love to own) but I would like to get more confident and branch out into hobbyist.

    3. I'm a collector first and a hobbiest second. I love doing faceups and making them dresses but I'm not really all that good at it.

    4. I'm both a hobbyist and collector. I love sewing for my dolls and doing photography. But I also obsessively buy each one the 'perfect amount' of shoes, eyes, and wigs XD I'm not allowed to buy clothes anymore haha.

    5. I'm a collector first and then a hobbyist. I love to sew, knit and crochet for my dolls. I love everything about them.

    6. ... A little bit of all three, really. Though if I had to choose I'd probably be a dreamer more than anything.

    7. I think for me, it's collector. I don't sew for my dolls or take many photos, and I don't write stories about them. They usually just sit around my house and look pretty. Sometimes I cuddle them but they're more showpieces. I don't have many limited dolls (I think only two) and no limited outfits but I love buying more clothes for them. :)

    8. Hobbyist, definitely. I mean, I want to develop characters, but the first time I saw a beautiful BJD I was just like "I want to sew that girl some clothes"

    9. I'm both a hobbyist and a dreamer, I'd imagine. I love to make my thoughts and ideas into reality! My dolls are another way to get my ideas out into the world, through sewing, painting, collecting and thinking up stories. My BJD is making me learn to sew for him. It's been a learning experience.

    10. I'm hobbyist first, and bordering on occasionally being tempted into collecting. So far I have 1 BJD, and feel 100% satisfied with just her. Though there is a future release that I've got my eye on.. no clue how far in the future it will be. At this point, I pretty much only want dolls of other sizes so that I would have a dummy to sew and craft on! I love making clothes for and gathering supplies to customize and "play!!" with my dolls, and also love toting them around on adventures with me. They get loved, and have lives that involve getting taken out into the world. My dolls definitely do not stay in mint / collectors condition.

    11. Dreamer first, hobbyist second.
The most important thing about my dolls is who they are. Then I customize them to fit that description. I'm invested in their stories and their personalities and what they mean to me. I mean, I've been working on my MSD boy for 3 years on and off and he still isn't finished.
Could be why I only have three dolls so far and only plans for one more, because the amount of effort I put into just those three is far more than a collector puts into several, which is why I simply cannot fathom owning as many as they do.

    12. I'm a dreamer. There is so much I want to be able to create but I unfortunately lack the skills.

    13. I'm the Collector type with a tad of Dreamer in me :)

    14. I mostly dreamer, but I'm also collector and hobbyist :-) I like to make some stories or taking some stories or characters from movie or novel and put these on my dolls :)

    15. I'm a cross between hobbyist and collector
I'm already a big collector I collect TV shows, video games and cards so bjds are a natural fit for me.

    16. I'm really a mix of the three, the latter two especially. I have a might need to complete my collection of RealPukis so I can get started on the fun stuff, creating their photo stories, making props and little diorama houses!

    17. I think I have a mixture of all three! I love photography and wants to make up stories for them! I love doing props for them! I would love to say I sew for them and wish I could sew but unfortunately I wasn't blessed with any sewing talent!
I also collect dolls and love collecting clothes for them!

    18. I'm a hobbyist, but I started out as a dreamer, definitely. I still prefer shelling my characters into dolls as opposed to starting off with a doll and not having a character, but it isn't an prereq for dolly purchases anymore.

I actually take it as an opportunity to develop a new character for potential future stories!

Aside from that, though, I love to photograph them, customize them, and display them; I'm quite proud of my hobby. :)

    19. I'm a dreamer!
I love write a background, find different personality, nationality, passions, friends and relationship.
I create a story in progress when a new member will arrive in the family.

I'd like to became a good hobbyist but I'm a bad photographer and a worst crafter girl.
Maybe, one day, with a lot of study, practice and teard I can do it!

    20. Dreamer ^^ all my guys are OCs and they mean so much to me... Im always trying to find that perfect sculpt to represent them... So a bit of a collector too in a way cuz some dolls i see inspire more OCs while I seek dolls to be specific ones ^^
