1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I'm both a hobbyist and a dreamer, equally ! I LOVE the artistic aspect, customization, face-up and photography with the BJD, but it is also very important for me to embody a character in a doll, that create the bond with the BJD !

    2. I picked dreamer because I'm a writer and I would like to have doll versions of the characters in my stories. I really like the process of creating a character and a story.

    3. Dreamer with a bit of Hobbyist thrown in. I'm always wishing I was better at sewing, faceups, making wigs, etc and I do try to do a lot of things myself. But in the end, if it's not up to par with my imagination I'll go and search out someone else to help my dream come to life. ^^

    4. This was difficult because I've not yet ordered mine... However, assuming I'll treat them like my other/similar dolls, I think I'm a little of all three!

    5. I will say I'm in between Hobbyist and Dreamer Lol
I gave each one of them unique character but I also enjoy sewing, taking photos and face up (based on their characters <3

    6. Hobbyist and Dreamer :) I enjoy creating, but I see my dolls as little creatures that live together with me.

    7. I'm a little bit of all three but first and foremost, I picked "dreamer". All my dolls are based on characters I had mostly before I even chose their resin shells (besides a few exceptions). I write for them and I've developed an intricate universe together with my friend in which all our doll characters live in and in which their stories take place. They each have well-developed personalities and fleshed-out backgrounds and I just adore the process of seeing them develop, grow and flourish.

Secondly, I'm a hobbyist. I sew outfits, paint faceups, do my own mods, I photograph, make jewelry and would very much love to put together dioramas too. However, I never view myself as being "adequate" in what I do and so I keep striving to improve.

Lastly I'm a collector. Most of my dolls are limiteds, as a matter of fact, out of my 33 head molds that I either have at home or am waiting on only 9 are basic, three of which are modded too, so technically only "6" are really basic molds... and I do consider them wonderful works of art too. Customizable ones! It just doesn't get better than that...

    8. It's hard to break it down. I think I'm mostly Dreamer for sure. I LOVE doing faceups (hobbyist) but I'll see a new doll (collector) and have to have it to create a new personality/character (dreamer). I have to admit that several of the dolls I own are because I needed/felt like doing a faceup so I'd just get another doll I'd been wanting. There are also character ideas I have that just haven't found the right doll for yet. So, its on-going. This hobby is a keeper.

    9. I picked Hobbyist but I'd say I am probably 5o/5o% Hobbyist and Dreamer!
My dolls have personalities and I love them and treat them with affection and imagine how they'd act but I also love the thought of creating things for them and using my creativity and art/craft "talent" on them!

    10. I'm a pure hobbyist! :) I love to expand my other hobbies and skills with BJDs and the number one thing that brought me to this hobby was sewing for them. I love to sew for my dolls so much!

    11. I'm a little of all three but mostly a dreamer. I love my BJD like a friend and child - I even refer to her as "my baby" sometimes :sweat. Before I even got her, I thought I'd bring her with me everywhere and I still kind of wish I did. But since I got her, I've been all about making sure she's safe and doesn't yellow or fall @__@;

Even though I had a character already planned before I got her, I was still able to learn more about her personality and what she'd be like a bit better once I've spent time with her :).

    12. Probably 70% dreamer and 30% hobbyist. I do like to capture the beauty of my dolls on camera once in a while.

    13. I think I'm a little bit of both dreamer and a collector. I love to collect things and have a hard time to get myself to stop collect things, and also a dreamer that walks around thinking up all these stories in my head that I would make into dolls life :) I have also tried making things for my dolls but I sucked at it ;_; but never mind as long as I have them in my life all is good~

    14. I'm closest to a dreamer. I don't treat them as if they were my children however. xD

    15. I would have to say mostly Hobbyist. I am a crafter at heart and am loving making thing for my dolls.

    16. Well, guess I'm all hobbyist. I don't have any desire to really collect any, just enough to model for me. Maybe a little collectory if you consider that I have several minifee girls (all different bodies though).

Definitely zero dreamer. My dolls don't even get names. They are my models that come out for work our display, then disappear into their boxes for weeks. But I treasure them just as much as everyone else!

    17. I think all can fit me haha
I like photography, collecting and writing doll characters
So I'm a bit of everything
      But mainly a dreamer
I create a unique story for each and together with them we live in a world where only us exist haha

    18. A cross between a dreamer and a hobbyist, most like hobbyist. I like craft =)

    19. I would have to say that I am a mix of each, maybe more dreamer. I love collecting dolls and photographing them. But I also love to give them their own personalities and storylines.

    20. for me I guess Im a dreaming hobbyist... I make them stuff and use them as a sort of canvas, but also build these stories around them.
