1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I would say a combination of hobbyist and dreamer, though I've placed myself in the dreamer category for now.

My dolls are my children, all of them - even my non-resin babies!
Meanwhile, it's also my dream to start my own business. I have plenty of designs. I draw them often. I love sewing and photography (though I don't have a good camera for the latter just yet)... They literally mean the world to me! :aheartbea

    2. can you be all three?

    3. Hobbyist and dreamer for me! I got my first dolls with the idea that I'd customize them to look like anime characters, but I definitely went a more personal rout. I love designing their characters and making clothes or custom face-ups to match their character. I can't bond with a doll until I know their personality and can picture them as part of the family.

    4. I'm definately a dreamer,I feel that I am bonding with my doll while gradually figuring out just "who" she is and I must say that it has been a very enjoyable experience for me.

    5. Though I am a collector of many things when it comes to BJD I am def a dreamer then hobbiest. I am working on a room for the pukifees/pukipuki which I love as a crafter but when it comes to my bigger dolls dreaming is my favorite part and the story telling.

    6. I am definitely a collector! I love collecting a bunch of stuff :)

    7. I am mostly a collector but mostly because I don't have very much time to do all the hobbyist things. But when I have spare time, I love to get crafty.

    8. I think I would be completely a dreamer, all the dolls I have ordered are already characters in a story I wrote.

    9. I would classify myself first as a hobbyist, simply because I love making things for my dolls. :3

    10. Absolutely hobbyist! I really like the customizing part best, sewing clothes and doing face-ups. Working on those things is the most fun part for me.

    11. Totally a dreamer XD

    12. A mix, I think. I don't really treat my dolls like children or whatever, but I do think of them as unique. . . I wouldnt really call it a collection either, because I am not buying them for the sake of buying them. I really don't know. I think everyone is at least partially in all three categories !

    13. Hobbyist. I'm a fashion major that cosplays and I'm going to make SO MANY clothes. Also I like dyeing the wigs and am going to take a swing at face-ups! :]

    14. I'm a dreamer :D

    15. I'm a hobbyist with a good dash of dreamer. My dolls are based on my roleplaying characters, so they do have backstories and personalities. But I really love making them things. I've always been into crafts, but my dolls help me focus and have a reason to make cute and crazy things. :) I've been sewing a lot more since I got into the hobby.

    16. I'm a dreamer. Even though I like customizable dolls to use my skills for them like wig making, sewing, designing outfits and jewelry and etc. I can't bond with a doll unless it's based on a character(preferably my own characters)

    17. A hobbyist, for sure! I'm more interested in painting the dolls and sewing for them than their character (though they will certainly have enough character so I know what to make for them! :D).

    18. I think I'm a mixture of all three if that makes sense, though I voted for hobbyist, seeing as I think the aspect of the hobby that I enjoy the most would be when I get to take photos of my doll and stuff like that. xD

    19. I am most definitely a dreamer with a dash of collector. I would love to mix in a little hobbyist though. It's kind of my planned new years resolution ^.^

    20. While I am still new to this hobby and I'm still waiting for my first doll to arrive, but I think I would be a hobbyist as at first I got into this hobby because I thought it would be cool to twin with a doll in lolita, but since than I also want to make cosplays for it as well. I think it would be lots of fun making those cosplays for them and showing them off at cons, and I also want to get in to photography as well due to it
