1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Mostly dreaming hobbyist and I am having a lot of fun :daisy

    2. Absolutely hobbyist :p I really love to make clothes for my dolls which I cannot wear in real... delicate, historic dress is so adorable and making them is a big joy for me.

    3. I'm in between the dreamer and hobbyist. Dreamer because I love the thought of the dolls and living their doll lives, but the hobbyist in me is strong as bjd's have brought out talents I did not know I had- such as---SEWING. never thought in a million years I would sew for a doll, but sewing and attempting made me hone the skill so to speak. The bjd hobby is one that brings out creativity on several different levels.

    4. Dreamer and hobbyist here. I don't understand collectors at all. It seems almost a waste to buy something so expensive and then just not do anything with it, or sit it on a shelf after giving it the perfect look. I can't get involved in a hobby without getting my hands dirty or my imagination attached, so it just boggles my mind.

    5. I want to do more photoshoots of my dolls. I think it is good way to practice photography. Not a dreamer. Perphaps, a hobbyist.

    6. I'm a hobbyist through and through. I love sewing, drawing, painting and sculpture etc and my dolls are an extension of these interests :)

    7. I'm all 3 lol I love collecting giving them personalities making things for them etc!

    8. I'm a bit of both hobbyists and collector since I do like trying my hands at face ups but wouldn't like to do it for all my dolls . I make clothes from time to time but that is a rare occurrence , and I love taking photos . That's what I do most of the tome when I'm not searching for new additions or simply admiring them from a distance . I'm not that crafty so I wouldn't describe myself as a full blown hobbyist , although I'd love to be one :-).

    9. I am a bit of all but I guess if you saw all the beads, findings, and fabric I have for dolls I would have to say I am a hobbyist the most. I have many dolls I will never change from how they were done, but have many that I want to design and sew for. I move clothes around a lot and love to photograph my dolls.

    10. A dreamer with some Hobbyist qualities. Not a collector since I only get what I love and I don't love everything in a certain collection.

    11. I guess I am a Hobbyist and a Dreamer... I love taking pictures of my dolls with some story backgrounds~~ but I only buy sculpts that I like (sometimes it happens to be a limited addition but it all depends on the sculpt).

    12. A wannabe hobbyist dreamer x) The dreamer part comes naturally, but the hobbyist part is what I'd like to get into more with my dolls. So a combination.

    13. Definitely a Hobbyist Dreamer. They are all part of one big family and I love to make things so it all works out.

I used to think I would only have---at most---a couple of dolls. As I've seen more dolls, family members and a new imaginary world, have just magically come into being.

    14. Definitely a dreamer.

    15. I'm probably half hobbyist and half dreamer. I do my own faceups and like to make stuff for my dolls, but they all do have their own stories and characters as well. ^^

    16. I'm definitely a cross between dreamer and collector.

    17. Hobbyist for me: sewing (and some knitting and crochet) and faceups, too, you name it!

    18. I would say hobbyist. I love taking the blank shell of a doll and transforming it into an original creation :)

    19. Cross between dreamer and collector for me, I create my little world with these lovely darling...even if it break my bank just a tad :XD:

    20. Definitely a dreamer with a pinch of collector.
