1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Im a pisces, so that makes me a dreamer naturally:XD: I love everything about the hobbyits, and if I had enough money… I would love to have a large collection!:wiggle

    2. I'm definitely a hobbyist. I love sewing for my dolls and photographing them.

    3. I think I'm a little bit of all 3, but mostly hobbyist.

    4. I'm a dreamer for sure. My dolls have more of a background and personality than even I have.

I don't like it when my doll family grows so I doubt I have the collector inside of me. I'm a little anxious of having lots of precious (expensive) things I can't protect all the time.

A hobbyist I'd love to become but for now I suck at doing anything creative that requires more than using my mind. I'm clumsy and suck at putting things together.

    5. I would say that i am a cross between a dreamer and a hobbyist. My dolls all have their own characters, and i could not possibly leave them undressed or in a position that may be perceived as uncomfortable - very dreamer like!. I therefore invest in caring for them as if they had human qualities. I enjoy the artistic aspect of sewing for them, and enjoy the personal satisfaction of making clothes for them and pushing my sewing skills to improve them. I have successfully managed some face-up's that i am proud of too and enjoy photographing them so the hobbyist role comes into fruition here.

    6. I'm a collector. I have a collector mentality, just like my whole family! I just love finding something that I can look at as a physical representation of what I love. All of my dolls have names, and I don't necessarily have to get LE dolls, but I don't have the complex, inventive backstories that some of the people in the hobby have created for their dolls! I've picked all the dolls I want based on their aesthetics rather than how they would fit a character; I design a personality for my doll based on what kind of clothes and wigs I think would look best with the sculpt and face up. I actually changed everything about my KDF's personality when I got her from the face up artist and she was 100000 times cuter than the company face ups and I no longer wanted her to be a static elf character with elaborate fantasy costumes but a cute modern elf living in LA! I decided my Leeke Noella would be a mori girl just because I wanted a mori girl doll and she has a really sweet face. I decided I wanted my Delf Miyu to be kind of a tomboy because the only shoes I had for her were some Converse style shoes that were sent in the wrong size for my MSD in a Taobao order! She could still change, it all depends on how she looks after I get her a new face up. I'm even a virtual collector! I have Pinterest boards for every doll I want where I collect photos of the dolls and the items I want to buy for them. I've always loved dolls, I had many different kinds growing up, and have never stopped wanting to collect them! :D

    7. I'm mostly hobbyists and a little bit collecteor ~ I love photographing my dolls just sooooo much! And sometimes I wish I could learn sewing just for my little princesses :aheartbea.

    8. I'm a bit of all the three here a hobbyists, a collecteor and a dreamer! :daisy

I love to photograph my doll and make videos for my Youtube channel, which i so enjoy doing! The Youtube community is amazing! :aheartbea
I truly enjoy to write stories about my characters and to be able to design by drawing and create them to a BJD.

I do collect other things as well and that's PVC figures. Which is mostly characters from Animé/Manga shows that i really like. :)

    9. Collector for sure. Aspiring hobbyist (who is too afraid to break/ruin her dolls to try anything funky with them!)

    10. I'm an absolute hobbyist!
I haven't any character to make doll for, and for a long time I was a little shy becouse my dolls haven't any special history... but i really think "dreamer" it's not for me)
I love some scupts, i want to purchase a few of them, I do love sewing for my dolls, make photos and just look at them ^^

    11. Hobbyist and dreamer but not much of either lol I sew sometimes and have small meaningful characters I put with them.

    12. Mostly a hobbyist, maybe mixed with dreamer... Definitely not a collector, though :XD:

    13. I'm probably mostly a hobbyist with some Dreamer mixed in. I really enjoy crafting and working with my hands but I also really enjoy writing. I haven't been able to do it as much in recent years but I really want to work on the story for my current dolls.

    14. All three! :D

    15. Well, I'm a hobbyist, but I want to be a collector. I'm also a dreamer.

    16. I vote Hobbyist. But im an undecided person and undecided also when it comes to my doll. I might need more time and more dolls then i'll figure it out. lol sorry

    17. Utter dreamer here. I have no measurable artistic talent (unless anything related to words counts, because I can write poetry/stories/anything that isn't an essay) but these are little resin incarnations of my characters. Finding the sculpt/wig/eyes/outfit for a specific character is always an exciting journey and going in reverse, seeing a beautiful doll and developing a soul-crushing backstory for them is also fun.

    18. I'm definitely a hobbyist. I like to customize my dolls, making face-up, tattoos, wigs... taking photos too. If I had more time I'd like to learn to sew!

    19. I am a dreamer, and will eventually also be a hobbyist. I would love to sew outfits and possibly shoot photos of bjd. I was planning on attending this year's doll event on my country so I could have more ideas and feels on the hobby.

    20. Hobby and collector - my shelves are bursting at the moment with things that catch my eye
