1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What kind of wigs do you prefer?

Feb 28, 2017

    1. I like synthetic wigs for bright colors and fur wigs for more natural and dark colors.

    2. I am the kind of person who enjoys restyling wigs so heat resistant synthetic wigs are my favourite, although I am thinking about making an alpaca wig soon.

    3. Imitation mohair (I've also seen it called "milk silk") is absolutely the best of all worlds imo! It's soft and light but doesn't have the frizziness of real Mohair, and it's really inexpensive- my imitation mohair wigs have all run me $7-10. Their only downside is that they're really shiny, but I don't really mind.

The standard heat resistant synthetic wigs feel really coarse and wiry now in comparison! :sweat

    4. I prefer synthetic wigs overall. I have a couple of natural fiber wigs that are stunning. Nothing beats the look of natural fiber, but I am almost afraid to have them on my dolls because they are delicate and at their cost, unreplaceable. Synthetic wigs I can be a little more creative with and if I mess it up it doesn't take much to replace it

    5. I personally would say my favorite is yarn. I like to make my own wigs and so far I like my yarn wigs way more than the other synthetic wigs I've purchased. Although I'd love to try making wigs with alpaca or mohair one day.

    6. Soft ones!! I have a tendency to sit with my large boy (Micherou) and rest my chin on his head while watching tv. So soft hair! So Nice to pet or Play with.

    7. Yes, why can't there be stretchy wig caps!?! Duh!!
