1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What poses do you leave your dolls in?

Nov 13, 2009

    1. Most of the time, Jacinthe (IH Luna) is sitting in the volks couch I got her and kept in the doll cupboard. For a change though, she'd be standing in front of the couch on a doll stand (just to prevent any accidents, like her suddenly falling and opening the cupboard door and landing on the floor).

    2. I have a sofa for Sebastian, but I leave him there only when I'm not at home.

Usually he sits right before me)

    3. Tress, that is a magnificent sofa! Wow!

Usually, my boy's lying down on his pillow because I don't have much for him yet, but right now.... He's in his box in pieces, as I just cleaned him up good and am now waiting for my can of MSC to get here.

    4. They sit in my wardrobe.
It`s empty (so there is place for them) and dark.
I never risk to leave them standing. Just to play safe.

    5. Kendra has a chair on the shelf of my secretary desk and that's where she spends most of her time. There's no direct sunlight in the room and she's safe behind a glass door (since the cats would like to make friends with her).

    6. I leave my dolls in the weirdest positions. The funkier, the better. I like ninja poses for my tiny dolls (crouching, balanced on one leg, kicking, creeping behind something, climbing something/someone, etc), surprised or fear or anything else arm-intensive for my big SD girls (they are usually sitting or standing, so their arms are the only thing free), and something grand and Shakesperian for my SD boy.

Up until a few months ago, I kept them out all over my room. But I noticed that my oldest doll is showing signs of yellowing (granted, it is even, therefore it is from age) so as a precaution I now keep them all sealed up in a wall unit / cupboard type thing. Even though they are not on display anymore, I still leave them in odd poses.

No one else touches them, even if I leave them out all over the place.

    7. I leave my dolls sitting on the edge of my desk when they aren't in their boxes or carrying bags. I hope some day to get some furniture for them, but I don't have the skill to make it myself nor is MSD furniture all that common.

    8. Mine have their own shady corner out of the sun, though it's a small space so everyone's in each other's lap, well the pair are, Akina just sits wherever there's space; a knee, a lap, sometmes on their heads.

    9. I usually have them in a sitting pose on my desk. Would love to have them in a standing pose, but I STILL didn't get around to buying a stand :').

I only live with my boyfriend and he doesn't touch them, because he's afraid he might damage them. So alas, no funny stories ;). Though one time I asked him to bring my doll upstairs and he put her in a super awkward sitting position that he worked SO HARD on. It was so precious, because he tried to make her look ''natural''.

    10. I have chairs, chaises and beds I have made for all my dolls, so they are sitting or lounging around.

    11. They all just be sitting down, my six big guys on shelves, and my two minis have little chairs in their size. Sometimes one will hold something in his lap, but otherwise they all just kind of sit there looking pretty. I think someday it would be lovely to have a beautiful glass case for them so they can stand in and really look elegant, but with a majority of my collection being 60cm size that doesn't seem very feasible right now or anytime in the near future.

Edit: Oh, and the floating head is tucked away in the wig box :XD: He doesn't get to be a part of the official collection until he has a body (though it's just as well as there's no space for him on the shelf right now anyway).

    12. Currently, my Linnaeus is zitting at my computer desk :

My Maya is boxed and I'm handing her over to a friend who wants to adopt her. And my Dominic is boxes until his hoodie arrives since he doens't have a top right now. I also have a guest doll from a friend who is sitting in my living room. I think my dolls mostly sit because then they don't topple over so easilly,

    13. Mine mostly just sit on their shelves... that said, their shelves do have furniture, for most of them. One of the groups of tinies has a full living room Ikea set, so they're usually posed conversationally around that room. The MSDs below them currently have a daybed and beanbag chair, so most are lounging on one or the other (with one standing supported in a stand). The MSDs on the lowest shelf have two larger "fairy garden" type benches where most of them sit; occasionally, one will stand at the end in a doll stand, as well. The two SDs on the dresser are sharing a teddy-bear sized chair (it's about perfect for an SD loveseat), and the ones on the wall shelf are generally just sitting on the edge of the shelf itself, though one's lucky enough to have a chair.

    14. I usually put them in their cases or I would put them on my bed ^_^ My YoSDs usually like to sit together, heads tilted a bit (towards each other) and holding hands (more like touching hands) ^0^ They look so cute that way~~~
My family members never touch my doll without my permission, but my sister likes to make them stand on one leg when I am around...that makes me scared:sweat

    15. My BJD are sitting in a display case in the living room. Most of them have small beanbags or sofa to sit on but not all of them.

    16. 1. What poses/positions do you leave your dolls in when you're not around?

They sit. They always sit. At first they sat on their box and now I have chairs and they sit in the chairs in their corner. I'm too afraid they will fall when I'm not around if I let them stand.

A bad picture but this is their corner

      2. Any funny pictures or stories? 3. Do other people in your family/house move them when you're not there? 4. Where do you usually keep/display your BJDs?

No :c My familie doesn't like my dolls and they don't touch them.

    17. My dolls stay on their shelves. They sit, they stand (I have doll stands) it just depends... Right now My MSD boy and my RS Bei are sitting on their couches/benches, and my two MSD girls are standing. My Isabella is next to me since I'm trying to find her stuff that fits.

    18. All of mine sit on a make shift bench (two doll boxes stacked on top of one another). The little one's are in people's laps. Kevin and Amadeo on the other hand are total saps and are always looking at each other and holding hands.

    19. He sits on the edge of my desk and usually holds a crochet flower but right now he's holding a birthday card.
