What poses do you leave your dolls in?

Nov 13, 2009

    1. I have 5 Iplehouse EID dolls, so I always leave them standing with stands inside my closet.

    2. I used to only have them in boxes for the longest time, but I recently bought a shelving system so I have several of them standing or sitting there. I'll adjust their poses occasionally. I had my IH Eric posed like he was casually leaning against the wall with one leg crossed over the other, and I think that was my favorite pose. I just live with my fiancรฉ, and he doesn't move them around a whole lot because he doesn't want to mess them up :XD:

    3. 1. What poses/positions do you leave your dolls in when you're not around?
He sits in his living room/ dinning room diorama on his chair.

      2. Any funny pictures or stories?
My mom bought him an ugly in scale cat with a broken ear and crossed eyes, she put it in his lap. When I came back she proudly declared the cat was his pet and named him Charlie XD Needless to say Charlie is now apart of the family, he has his own bed and wagon now...

      3. Do other people in your family/house move them when you're not there?
Yes, my mom sneaks him around to play with him, even though she said she wouldn't like him before he came. She also sometimes steals him and sews clothes for him. My brother keeps Erin away from the dogs when I'm away.

      4. Where do you usually keep/display your BJDs?
On my dresser, I have a little living room/dinning room set displayed up there. But when I move I plan to give him an apartment.

    4. I usually leave them sitting in one of the shelves of my closet. I'm a bit paranoid about keeping them standing since I'm scared one of them will fall over.

    5. I always let them sitting on mini chairs or anywhere in my room (but not high places) because I'm so afraid that they will fall by standing because I don't have doll-stands at home.

    6. I have a large bookcase in my room that I use just for displaying things, and the third shelf down is my doll shelf. Darren and Aiden are together on top of Darren's PukiPuki box- Aiden is sitting, Darren is standing and waving (he's only 11cm, after all, and a very sturdy little guy!). My other crew is grouped together as well. Kail is the largest at the moment, and he sits with his legs hanging over the edge of the shelf, ankles crossed. Trysten stands behind him somewhat with his hand on Kail's shoulder, and my lone girl, Mina, is curled up against Kail with one arm on his thigh and he's got his arm around her waist. Basically, I really like having them in poses that are representative of their characters, haha. The dolls share space with my many anime figures, which I also love to pose and fiddle with. :XD:I can't bring myself to keep any of them in boxes, and I don't necessarily have to- thankfully, my bookcase is situated in a spot where no sunlight hits it!

    7. 1. What poses/positions do you leave your dolls in when you're not around?
      2. Any funny pictures or stories?
      3. Do other people in your family/house move them when you're not there?
      4. Where do you usually keep/display your BJDs?

      1. I either leave him sitting on the table (like in the picture above) or wraped in a towel with it's face mask, in the original box.
      2. A lot of times when I enter the room, (I leave him looking straight forward) he's gazing at my bed. Which is much left from him.
      3. No one dares.
      4. Just on my table in my room. Which is closed always because my cat is messy and big and I DON'T LET HIM FALL

    8. Since I am still working on completing my girl I put her away in her box every time. But once I am finish I be putting her on my shelf!

    9. Most of my dolls are either packed safely in a box, or sitting cozy on a bookshelf. I always have one on my computer desk, either sitting or standing if they can. I try to make their poses natural on my desk. Amiga sits with her cat in her lap, petting it. Comrade sits knees apart, like most guys do. My OT dolls usually slouch a little and look up at me cutely.

    10. Not that you can do much for posing a doll who lives in her box (for now), but I always make a point of resting her hands together on her lap. Looks like she's waiting proper and patient till I bring her out next :)

    11. Eve has recently decided to stand on the coffee table. June is sitting on the toy organizer bench. Leekeworld Florence(no name yet) is sitting on the back of the couch. Dollshe Bernard(no name yet) is standing leaning against my bedroom wall. My sd 16 volks girl is sitting in a rocking chair in front of Bernard. And my various heads(joker and spiritdoll) are rolling around my bedroom floor(ok not really)

    12. Haha, I leave them in all sorts of poses. They live on top of my dresser for now, so Zeke likes to sit with his feet over the edge and his arms doing whatever the heck they want, and Amelia will either sit on Zeke or explore the boxes all over my dresser. One time my dad was helping me with a math assignment, and while I was calculating things out he was playing with Amie and left her climbing on top of my camera. She's still there, king of all she surveys. Zeke has his arms above his head, one of them ruffling his hair like a model. He swears he's not a model. His arms just fall into place that way.

    13. I have them sitting :)I'm just afraid of them falling over.

    14. Mine are always in hugging or chatting poses. I don't like having them give me the Roman thousand yard stare when I get dressed.

    15. Normally both of my dolls just hang out on my desk away from the edge so they don't fall- I learned my lesson when one of them fell from the top of a dresser. X.X And I don't really display them, I live in a dorm. But my roommate does like dressing them up and changing out their eyes, so I let her do that when she gets the inkling too :3 Plus my boys love the attention!

    16. I leave my dolls in different spots around my room.
Amethyst (my tiny FL PP Sugar), is a mineral sprite, so she rests with my collection of rocks and minerals.
Kira (my RS Mei), sits up on my highest shelf.
My unnamed DC Ada is currently headless because she will be getting a face-up, but she is standing near Amethyst.
I love to change their poses and I wouldn't put them back in their boxes unless I was moving or traveling with them.

    17. 1. What poses/positions do you leave your dolls in when you're not around?
They all sit unless one of my MSD's is in the doll stand.

      2. Any funny pictures or stories?
I once came into the room to find my fox skull resting over Meadowsweet's face. My girlfriend still thinks she is funny to this day because of that stunt. She was lucky the teeth didn't scratch my girl's face-up. :|

      3. Do other people in your family/house move them when you're not there?
Not the actual dolls. But I've caught my gf rearranging their props when she thought I wasn't looking.

      4. Where do you usually keep/display your BJDs?

In my bedroom on the shelves of my dresser/vanity. Its the only place in my room that isn't touched by sunlight at all.

    18. Well my dolls don't stay out of their boxes when they're not getting loved on, they go back to being wrapped wrapped up and sealed in their cases! When they're out though they are normally in a basic resting position or clutching a plushie next to me by the couch!

    19. My completed dolls are standing on my rather large dresser in a group. There's no sunlight that reaches there, and they're the last thing I see when I walk out the door of my room. I like to keep them there, that way I can look at them whenever I want to, and whenever I want to spend time with a particular doll, they're right there to be picked up.

    20. The crew has their own space in my bedroom. I use two compartments from a Ikea storage unit for them.
They are all sitting next to eachother. The little one's on another doll's laps most of the time. I don't put them in other poses when I'm not around, because I am afraid one of my cats will knock them over.
