Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. What poses do you leave your dolls in?

Nov 13, 2009

    1. I usually leave my boy in a sitting position. Like sitting on his feet kind of sitting lol

    2. I have all my boys sitting next to each other on my bedside table. Sometimes if my mom or sister get me something or want me to see something, they'll put it on Seth's lap.

    3. I have my dolls sitting in chairs on my dresser with the tiny dolls in their laps.

    4. 1. What poses/positions do you leave your dolls in when you're not around?
My room is pretty much one giant display area for my dolls because I have so many of them, so it changes from day to day. Some days, half of them will be piled on my bed while I clean, and others, they'll be lounged around.

      2. Any funny pictures or stories?
Every now and then, I'll have my dolls sit on my bed while I'm using the computer. Whenever this happens and my dad comes in, he'll always say "Hello miss!" when he sits down. It tickles me to no end. I remember once I had a bunch sitting on the bed and he asked me "Are they gossiping today?" Just.....XD

      3. Do other people in your family/house move them when you're not there?
Not usually, no, but once or twice, I have come home to my cats sleeping with them, which is the cutest thing ever!

      4. Where do you usually keep/display your BJDs?
...Everywhere. You'd think my room was THEIR house.

    5. When Ro and Berwyn are out, I usually either pose them with Berwyn in Ro's lap, or sitting in her wee red chair at Ro's feet as she's standing. Sometimes in her bassinet.

    6. I like to pose them when I want to take (bad) pictures, but I'm very afraid of them falling, so they're all sitting on chairs or on doll stands when I'm not playing with them. My sister loves my dolls, but she doesn't touch them without permission (she has very sweaty hands and knows that I'd want her to wash her hands before playing with them). My sister does say hi to them when I have them out, and says hi to my Leeke Sweet Emily any time she comes into my room because she's so cute. I keep them in my room on the dresser and side table right now, but when I move this March I'm going to get a cabinet for them to keep them safe from the incoming roommate's cat. I'm going to attempt a group shot in front of the Christmas tree this week. Wish me luck.

    7. 1. What poses/positions do you leave your dolls in when you're not around?
The majority of them are seated or standing on shelves but I ran out of room there so... Sam and Liv are having dinner together (lasagna!), and conversing. Freya is sitting on her throne with her man-at-arms, Braum, behind her looking very menacing. Gambit and Nightcrawler are standing around looking like they're having an intense conversation. Rictor and Pete are relaxing on the couch.

      2. Any funny pictures or stories?
One time my husband invited a few of his friends/coworkers over to our place so we were giving them a mini tour. I could tell one of them was looking for something when he opened up a random closet. Apparently my SO had told him about the dolls and he was trying to find them discreetly. And failed.

      3. Do other people in your family/house move them when you're not there?
Nope! I'd be fairly amused if he did but he's never bothered. Occasionally he'll hide/relocate other toys for me to find but never the dolls.

      4. Where do you usually keep/display your BJDs?
I have a small walk in closet devoted to just bjd. They stay in there for light protection. And cat protection.

    8. My 70 cm Abadon sits with his arm around 66 cm Lilith, her head on his shoulder and her hand on his thigh. He looks like he is kissing her forehead. Xander who is 43 cm stands with his arms around 44 cm Chuchi-rie with her back to him and her hands folded over his around her waist. Sometimes Lilith likes to lounge on her belly with her feet kicked up and she plays on her laptop. Chuchi-rie will often use Liliths shoulder to lean on and watches what she does with the laptop.

    9. Haha, cute questions. I usually leave them sitting but sometimes I'll leave them in cute laying down positions. My boyfriend will sometimes put them in different positions for when I get home from work.

    10. My dolls are either sitting on various chairs or in doll stands. (Although currently I am packing my house, so some are boxed and getting ready to move). The dolls live in 4 different rooms of the house in cabinets or on shelves or sitting in the sewing area.
And yes, everyone plays with them. God only knows where you will find them. Or what they will be up to.

    11. I keep mine in my room, so no one else really gets the chance to move them around lol. I guess the pose depends, but I usually have them sitting down in some position (sometimes legs crossed for my JID if I can fight him into that pose). Luckily my bed's headboard actually also functions as a shelf, so I put him and my little DB Doll up there usually :whee:

    12. They're all standing with doll stands in their cabinet, I think that's the best way to let the joints rest. My little one will be sitting and lounging around by my side :)

    13. Usually I just have my girl sitting with her hands in her lap. It's rather boring, but my friend on the other hand enjoys leaving her naked doll in very....strange positions around her room. She said her parents aren't happy with her :XD:

    14. 1. What poses/positions do you leave your dolls in when you're not around?
Standing, usually. Or sitting. I'm picky who I leave with whom, though :)

      2. Any funny pictures or stories?
My younger kitteh (who is 5 and really should know better) keeps trying to sniff and cuddle my dolls. Oh, and steals their wigs.

      3. Do other people in your family/house move them when you're not there?
      I hope not...

      4. Where do you usually keep/display your BJDs?
In a cat-proof glass cabinet, safe and sound. I worry sometimes that it's not locked, but otherwise I'd have to lock and unlock it all the time :/

    15. Most everyone is sitting around on doll furniture, except for Emie and Lorina who are in stands. I'd like to put them all in a cabinet eventually. It's very dusty in my house!

    16. 1. What poses/positions do you leave your dolls in when you're not around?
Sitting or laying down. I can still put them in many various poses! :3
I never leave them standing since I don't have any doll stands and I'm afraid they would fall.

      2. Any funny pictures or stories?
Can't think of any atm. ._.' Hmm...

      3. Do other people in your family/house move them when you're not there?
Nope. And I actually wouldn't mind someone close to me move them if their hands were clean and they would do it carefully (no touching faceup and so). >> I kinda wished people moved them, sounds like fun lol! \(>w<)/

      4. Where do you usually keep/display your BJDs?
In our bedroom on my bedside table or in my wardrobe. ^^

    17. 1. What poses/positions do you leave your dolls in when you're not around?
I usually leave Nadeko sitting on a shelf in my closet. Sometimes I have her lay on top of her box or have her sit on the edge of the shelf with her legs hanging down but neither of those is safe or convenient anymore so she sits on the second highest shelf with her back against the wall and her legs stretched out in front of her.

      2. Any funny pictures or stories?
      No.

      3. Do other people in your family/house move them when you're not there?
Thankfully no, at least I really hope not.

      4. Where do you usually keep/display your BJDs?
In my closet. I don't have a room so that's the safest place for her.

    18. I normally leave Genevieve in her case when I'm not actively enjoying her. My bf is a bit scared of her lol. When I do leave her out for a bit, she sits on my nightstand and watches TV or games with us. Sometimes she'll sit and cuddle her tiger plushie.

As for anyone in my house moving her? No. There are death threats in place should someone touch her without my permission. I don't touch bf's gundams, he doesn't touch Genevieve lol.

    19. I usually leave mine in sitting positions on their furniture, sometimes holding props. Sometimes, I'll leave the tinies posed like children playing in the floor with toys. Usually, nobody bothers them, but my husband will randomly stick one in another's bed, and it's never the ones who are actually couples or roommates. He tries to start the most incompatible affairs!

    20. When I'm not messing with them, they are either just sitting or standing (I have a couple who can stand on their shelf without a stand and don't fall), looking casual with no twisted arms or goofy poses (I'm fairly certain after watching The Boy with my fiancé, he prefers it that way ;)).
