1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What RACE are your dolls?

Dec 28, 2005

    1. It really ticked me off when this scene played out:

toshi: yeah, isn't she gogeous? she's from Kroea. ^_^
aunt: she dosn't look KOREAN, she looks AMERICAN.
toshi: -FRKEAING OUT INSIDE- -twitchtweiitch- just because she's form kora, dosn't mean she's koreAN....

My Emilie is French-English, but was sent to Korea when her parents died to attend the Bluefairy Boarding School. [xD;;]

    2. I totally agree with this.

    3. I dont agree, alot of people are proud to be from a certain nationality. labling your doll as race does not mean your segregating them or other dolls at all. Your race and your culture is part of the person you are. your culture even affects the way you dress . AS much as people dont what to admit it they what to be labled. they dont what be like everyone else. and that goes for dolls too.
plus your making other people who have labled their dolls a certain nationality feel like they have done something wrong, and in a sence they feel segregated

    4. That's not what they are saying...race =/= nationality.

Anyway, where my doll's character is from the society doesn't have race, so she doesn't either. Her nationality would be Cairhienin.

    5. Knowlt's race is pretty much disease (Tuberculosis to be more exact). n_n;; When he died, he had half of his "humanity" taken over by the lovely pestilence. (As my story goes, most fatal pestilences/plagues are humans who have been given a "pestilence" status when they died. ._.;; ). Nationality-wise, Knowlt was born in Russia, and will always claim to be Russian. :] Even if he hasn't lived there in a good hundred plus years. xD

      And Turuncu's just plain old human. xD Nationality-wise, I have no idea. ._.;

    6. Mine will be :

      Gackt, Ju-Ken, Hiruma : Japanese
      Aisha : American
Kokoro : usually a Japanese but she changes time to time
      Seina : She's a robot girl
      Sylphina : she's an Elf
Mimi : either a doll or a fairy

    7. I never really gave much thought to that... one of my boys is a demon. Another one of them looks Korean to me, though his name is Cillian. I don't know about the others, really. ^^;

    8. Hm..
Manic's race is technically not a race at all; he's an android.
Fenrir, if I ever manage to get him, is human, and then I've also got a half-elf character I might doll-ify, but, being from a world in my head and not from earth, I can't be much more specific than that..

    9. I've never thought of them that way before. I just look at them as individuals wiht personalities of their own. Maybe there is a nationality or 2 for some of them, but even that changes. No, I don't think they have a race, just their own innerself. I wouldn't want to burden them with society's stereotypes.

    10. I do kind of think race is relevant with my girls, since only one of them is Human.

Vita (Ryung) is an Englishwoman and a poet from the early twentieth century who occasionally dreams she is a wood-elf Bard in the Everquest world of Norrath.

The others are from a later, post-cataclysmic era on Norrath and are a very young Centaur (Kkotmu), whose name I believe to be Willow, and Cerinthe (Narae) who is a Gnomish master carpenter and sometime enchanter.

They live together in someplace neither here nor there and are about to be joined by a horde of elves. None of them knows why they have been called together, but the nature of their Mysterious Quest may be revealed as soon as I figure out what it is.

*** Elf Lishe on her way ***:-)***

    11. Caleb is 75% Cherokee and 25% Black.
      Carmine is 100% Italian.

    12. : ) My boys are all Spirita. But that's a long story.

    13. uhm...

      Ryo: Half Aisan. -Human

      Sephion: Ashalaian. (Winged Elf)

      Sabi: Ashalaian

      Matthais: Vampire (Unknown cassaian)

Misha: vampire (formerly human of Ejptian/roman desent.)

    14. mine are of the *human* race ;)

    15. Well, if I can do a face up I like, my girl is going to be a right mix of things :)

She is part Chinese human, but also of Kelada'in blood (ok any more Mercedes Lackey fans out there??) so if she's feeling human she'll like chinese clothing, but there's scope for a whole plethora of interesting costumes and outfits I want to make, not least of which when she's riding on the horse my best friend got me for Xmas for her :) so she gets the best of all worlds !

I have only just ordered her tho so all this is open to change if she doesnt like it LOL

Now my next planned doll is going to be pure elf, of Tolkein type, no human clothing for him (unless he fancies any of Kefri's...) but long flowing robes and leafy patterning... He's gonna take a while to save up for tho. Kefri is a laidoll lily, the elf who has not got a name yet will probably be a Luts MNF Ruth

and after that is my third wish list doll, the Latidoll child with pouty face and gorgeous black pigtails, I can't remember her name, and since with the saving her ETA is about 2009 or beyond I've not given any thought to her personality or nationality

    16. Tamsin is a (very bloody old) faerie. Cyr is half salamander (fire elemental) and half human. Sehti, when he arrives, will be human/cyborg (quadruple limb replacement...).

      la!

    17. hello, i understand what you are saying about the race and or nationalitly. The original NabeeRain was a little offensive to me. I have a notorious grandfather and my family has had to deal with the after math. I'm not doing to get into it. i say sorry i got so defensive.

    18. I think I have to go with the nationalities of the basis for my dollies' characters--so Wren would be Polish, and Lynx would be English, LOL :)

    19. Hmm, interesting :)

Scaramouche and Fandango are Italian, but born in China and grew up in Korea. XD They hate being mistaken for Japanese...

Xiez'wan... well, I think she's Chinese, but she speaks English as her first language and studies Mandarin now.

Galileo and Figaro are of Latin descent, but I'm not really too sure about their history yet.

I have absolutely no idea about Ga-woon and Jack - I think Jack might be Italian or Sicilian (Giacomo).

    20. My Nathaniel's an English boy... But he'll have moved to America at some point :3 Lala's going to be American, but of German descent.

EDIT: Oh no! Did I revive a dead thread?! :o
