What RACE are your dolls?

Race is pretty important in the story-line my dolls are a part of, so I have an interesting little mix.
YiXin and XiaoYi are Chinese
Quinn Ashling Cranstoun is Scottish
Tolly and Amabel Pembroke are Brittish
Shimizu Kiyoshi is Japanese-American
Justin Lahoo and (someday) Kyle Lahoo are Canadian

...so a pretty good mix. If I happen to ever aim for more dolls, I'll probably add some russian kids into the mix. Maybe one originally from the USA, since that's where the story is set... But I really don't need more dolls...

 

Mine have nationalities but they are all vampires or fairies or demons or half breeds of fairy and demon (does that qualify as race?)

Isabella Dia Leonetti- Italian
Alexei Primakov- Russian
Cosette Mimieux- French
Sathariel-Hell born

 

I have only 4 BJD's and I would say Kenji is half Irsih and half Japanese, he has his mom's eyes and his dad's features. Fiona is half Irish and half Korean, Portia is Japanese and French but her parents met in Australia, and Kyo is half Japanese and 1/4 English and 1/4 German. His father raised him as his mother died when he was 2 so he only knows Japanese style of life, but he speaks 6 languages. He and Fiona both were raised for big things as my storyline for them shows. Where as Kenji and Portia are just normal students in college.

 

Dante and Masumi are both Japanese ^^;

 

Considering i put very little thought into the different races and nationalities of *humans* i highly doubt i'll pay much attention to that of my dolls, unless it plays a part in their story...which in my stories, it usually doesnt. Well, aside from one, but that takes place in a fantasy world, where there are a few other races...like my winged people, the 'gods', elves of a sort, and so on. Since race has never seemed like a big deal for me, i see no reason why it should be for my characters, too (unless its the one story ^^; )

 

Noah (the only doll I have now!) is Armenian!

MatsuJun (nickname! ) is Japanese.

Tobi-chan is half Japanese and half Italian.

IP Cocori (no name yet! >b) was born in Hawaii but grew up in New York.. so I guess she is Hawaiian- American

Lilith is Mexican.

 

I've come to the conclusion that my Liam is half Chinese, half Scottish. I know that "Scottish" is more of a nationality than a race, but I know as a Scottish girl myself... we can be pretty distinctive.

 

Takumi is/was human [now a ghost] & nationality is Japanese//Korean
Isshi is half demon & nationality is Japanese
Masato is vampire & nationality is Japanese//Chinese

 

Ivory is Norwegian and Mitsukuni is Japanese

 

Most of my dolls are white because I make more characters that are from European decent (most of them are either american (US) or actually live in europe or moved from europe (most of those are my vampire characters)). Now a couple of my planned dolls will be Korean, because those are the couple of dolls that are going to be bought as the dolls they are and not as a character doll. One of my dolls while he might look Japanese, is actually from a different solar system within this galaxy.

 

My doll's race is... elf?

 

Hmm... Jie is Chinese, she just lives in a Kimono right now cause she refuses to wear Choie's causual clothing...

And Choie's Canadian. She did come from Red Deer Alberta (FTW) after all.

 

They are part of the doll race, as opposed to the human race.

 

Erm. Mistah Hikaru lives in a metropolis called Kilobyte City, that much I know. Where in the world is Kilobyte City....I'm still not sure. I don't even know if it will be in our world or whatever.

However, he looks caucasian. That's a start I guess.

 

I am with you there. I don't want my dolls to have race/nationality. I get sick of racial issues in the real world and like to have something pure.

Virgil Dantes is a European mutt, a little bit of everything I think. Though his last name is Dantes, so maybe he's got some French in there too?

Dorian Kites is British.

The doll I don't have yet, but am planning to get to round out the three (for story) is Myung Seong Park. She's a South Korean girl.

 

Both Kaito and Taku are Japanese

 

Tisa- Is from the planet Endor, but her skin color would be bi-racial African/Puerto Rican
Sable- Is also from the planet Endor, her sister skin color is Mulatto
V- Is British
Terry- American Caucasion
Tae- His cousin American Caucasion
Angel- Is just that a Angel from Heaven, skin color could be any, but Caucasion at present form
Marisol- ????? but will know soon enough

 

Based purely on their background stories, Shinya and Azusa are both Japanese. Though, Azusa might have something else mixed in there... We're not clear on that yet.

I have plans for a few dolls of European nationality, but nothing is set in stone. ^^
