Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. The dolls I have and am planning on getting are all Asian ethnicity of some kind. :sweat I don't know why I do that! I guess it's just hard for me to see them as any other ethnicity.

      But so far I have one Japanese, one Korean, and am waiting on one Chinese. And I'm in the process of getting another Korean! For some reason I'm hung up on the Koreans. :XD:

      Well, she was born in New York, as for origional origin, it might be Scotland or Ireland...

      Red hair, pale skin, that kind of stuff. I'm not sure, yet...

    3. this is haaaard~ I mean I just kinda take their nationality as the country I buy them from I guess >__< Anathema has always been Japanese to me and I think of Carmine as Korean....even though his character history is more fantasy and we don't have countries like that in there....way to point out my poor thinking!! hahaha

    4. Adrian is American, and Taruhi is a Japanese American. She and her family moved from Japan to the US when she was 5 and she eventually became a citizen.

      Though my dolls come from different cultural backgrounds, be it real or made up.:celebrate

    8. "Race" is kind of a generic term though-people use it in that way all the time...

      As for my dolls-I really haven't thought much about their "nationality," but all the dolls I have at the moment are human... I'm going to get a Mo eventually and he's going to be a demon of sorts ^.^;;!

Well, they're all characters out of my story- which constitutes for a COMPLETELY different set of nationalities, for a completely different planet. u___u; They're all human, and they all speak English, I suppose. Loki's the only exception, he speaks about 10 different languages (and 4 more, that he can read but not speak very well :<).

    13. I actually feel that my Kun would be what my daugther would look like if my fiance and I ever have kids. So she would be Filipino, French, Spanish, Chinese, Middle Eastern, British, Irish, Austrian Jewish, German?, and Native American. Whew!!!

      As for Ethnicity, cultural association and so forth, I concur with a previous post that such matters are constructs, but refute their argument about discrimination. Athropologically speaking groups exist primarily to protect and identify the 'self-group', or the 'family-group'. That has the side-effect of creating 'others', but the distinction is very important: Social groups are - by and large - created to support inwardly, rather than defame outwardly.

      And as for the Family:
      Verina is from Greece originally, but has lived in Surrey since she was five.
      Michael is English and has lived in Heidorn all his life, though his people (as he never bores of telling us) hailed from Norway in the dim and distant past.
      Helane is (or was when actually alive) from Normandy, though she relocated to Heidorn when her Mother inherited the heidorn Estates.
      Maiko: Is from Japan, but has lived long enough in England to pick up more than local accent.

    18. I guess her race would be elf, but I've always just thought of her as Canadian like me. In my head(I've never actually written out a story for Lisi, but this is pretty much it) she's always been like a little pixie or something, or like the mischievous little fairy in this children's story I used to read, so she really would be just a little Canadian elf.
