What RACE are your dolls?

Race? Well, it's obvious, but my Exclusive Elf Sooah is an Elf!

 

Spyder is French, I know that much, his dear 'sister' is refusing to tell me what she is. It is so much fun to consider things like this. Character creation is one of the best parts of collecting BJDs

 

all Three of mine are Japanese (nabiki, Zero, and Delphine)..

 

Evan is a mixed guy... He says he's predominately Asian, but he's green eyed and mousy brown hair

Garou is a half Japanese, half French werewolf guy.

Lucas is a full bred Italian vampire.

Freya is a Japanese robot girl? Persocom all the way~!

Kit is a european rabbit boy thing.

Nobu is a full Japanese Kitsune... (who has the fur colour of an artic fox and ears of a fennec fox )

Twix is a japanese waterdemon.

Their place of birth has little to do with physical appearance in some cases, especially among the Fey. Their populations were entirely separate from the human ones.

Weros is English-born, formerly human, now Shivian, born in 1968. Ethnicity: Caucasian (Incredibly pale, normal among Shivians)
Mikelandros is a "California"-born Earth Dragon, born in 1482. (Caucasian)
Kasada is a "California"-born Fire Dragon, born in the 800's. (Tanned Caucasian)
Gaia is a German-born Lycanthian (Cheetah,) born in 2000. (Caucasian)
Gael is a Welsh-born Lycanthian (Dove,) born in 2005. (Caucasian)
Jonas is a German-born Lycanthian (Cheetah,) born in 2004. (Caucasian)
Asalahan is a "Cambodian"-born Fey, born in 1718. (Caucasian)
Mariisa is a "Cambodian"-born Fey, born in 1304. (Tanned Caucasian)
Noorstom is a "Timorian"-born Fey, born 1479. (Tanned Caucasian)
Sagittine is a Scottish-born Shivian, born in 1967. (Caucasian, Incredibly pale, normal among Shivians)
Gertrude is an English-born human, now Shivian, born in 1446. (Caucasian, Incredibly pale, normal among Shivians)
Canidide is an "South African"-born Elf, born in 1454. (Black)

Toshi and Lithian (Shirou) are both Japanese. Kira is also Japanese if I manage to get her.

Well, I know it is a little boring, but.....

Isabella and Pierlorenzo are both Japanese, but at the same time they are also half Italian and half American.

 

Loric and Santiago are Italian. Giovanni and Taariq are part Italian part Swahili.

My future dolls, though; will vary.

Miarri and Matayo will be Italian. Delilah and Nuri will be Swedish, Polish and German. Trilby will be Egyptian, Greek, Spanish, and Italian. Vladimir will be Italian and Spanish.
Shihong will be Chinese. Layland will be Wicce, which is a made up race of my own, and Omoide is Demonic.

I almost commented on this in my post as well. Although I'm sure we could ramp up a fabulous discussion on race, ethnicity, and social constructs thereof, this isn't the place for it, so I didn't bother reading too much into it.

My characters all have cultural and ethnic identities, which everyone has without exception. Most of my crew has "species" identities, but that is something generally unchangable. Racial identity, that's a whole other animal. I would say most/none of my crew has "racial" identities.

But it depends on how one defines "race," yes?

Mine are characters dolls and none are human.

Moswen: Awh'anise
Jaiseki: 1/2 Awh'anise, 1/4 Vylfian, 1/4 Naemo

and my next doll purchase (which I'm crossing everything I have to be able to purchase him shortly)...

Kijika: 1/2 Vylfian, 1/2 Naemo

And as far as these dolls go and their hereditary, they are family, with Moswen and Kijika being lovers and Jaiseki their son.

 

I'm not sure about Stephen, mainly because I don't know much about his mother (neither does he) since he was raised in foster care for most of his childhood.

Stephen is a Dutch name, but Adolf (his middle name) is German. I don't think his mother was just an eccentric namer because his older brother's name is Jason, which is fairly common (even though it has links to the Odyssey).

Stephen was born in Canada though, that much is for sure.
He has (or will be, once his wig arrives) blonde and has blue eyes, so for lack of more specific narrowing he's a Canadian Caucasian.

Kit and Meredith are sisters, one parent is Japanese and one is American but they were both born in Japan.

Griffin was born in Ireland but he was raised in England. He conciders himself English.
