gosh i hope so... it's what my ancestors are LOL
if i would want to tell in 2 words, that's what i would have to use.

Penelope: Unsure yet. Possibly American or Canadian. I'm still working out her character.

Callahan's an elf, hailing from a fictional country that I created.
My Glot is (or will be) a faun, also from a fictional place in my head.
I have plans for future dolls, some of whom will be British, some of whom will be French, some of whom will be Asian, and others who will come from made-up places.

Lord Ren Ravenmore half english half chinese. Just because of my favorite countrys and or cultures.

 

What's race got to do with it? The important thing is that they're beautiful no matter what skin color.

Kanon - Half-Japanese,Half-Korean, her mom is Japanese and her dad is Korean.
Sun-Hi - Korean,she is Kanon's 7 year old cousin.
Yang - Chinese, but he has vampiric blood running through his veins, his mother who was Chinese fell in love with a Vampire and they ended up having him, his mom was killed by his dad's family because they did not like the fact that he has fell in love with a human, his dad didnt want his own son to die either, so he left Yang at someone's doorstep, he now lives with Kazuya, who is the younger brother of the man that lives at that house.

Yumiko-tan is Japanese American. However, her family's wanderings in the Western Hemisphere went between the US and Peru. Yumiko's ancestors came to Peru from Japan looking for opportunity and arable land. They settled there and prospered until World War II where all Peruvian Nikkei (Japanese expatriates) were rounded up and sent to the internment camps in the US. After World War II, Yumiko-tan's grandparents returned to Peru, but Yumiko's parents eventually moved to Los Angeles and Yumiko was born here, along with her older siblings. Yumiko was a surprise child born to older parents: her parents were in their forties when her mom found out she was pregnant. Yumiko beat the odds and came out healthy, with no trace of birth defects often found in later-life pregnancies like Down Syndrome. She is going to go to either USC or UCLA film school with the help of not only her parents but her grown and established siblings, but is taking her lower-division credits at Los Angeles Valley College to save money.

Yumiko is primarily Japanese but she has some Peruvian ancestry, both Spanish and Indigenous Peruvian. This is probably where her light eyes and lighter hair comes from.

There is a great deal of enmity now in Peru to people of Japanese descent, thanks to the disastrous presidency of Alberto Fujimori. However, Yumiko's parents immigrated to the US in the '70s and escaped that whole period of Peruvian modern history. Yumiko has visited Peru, and speaks fluent Spanish as a second language. English is her first language. Her parents are the reverse: Spanish is their first language and English their second. Like her parents, Yumiko only knows a little "survival" Japanese. However, she wants to get better at it.

Her worst experience in Peru was being given a piece of meat without it being identified. She began eating when someone told her it was "Cuy." She asked "What's Cuy?" The relative who gave her the meat said "Guinea Pig." She blanched...she had pet guinea pigs at home. It remains one of her pet peeves. Yes "Cuy" is considered a food in Peru.

i'm filipino on my mom's side and german/spanish/native american on my papa's side ^^
i'm reeeally pale, have big black eyes, and jet black hair i've been confused for many races haha

 

Nagi is Japanese, but raised by an American and a German so he's fairly multilingual.
Momiji is half-Japanese, half-German: supposedly that's where his blond hair comes from.
Riou is Chinese.
Touda... is a shikigami... a minor god, with the flames of hell at his disposal... what 'race' would that be? ^_~

Gwendolen is a British fae (with her bunny ears, I think she's a pookah).
Elias is half Italian (he's Ty's half brother-- Ty belongs to Orca) and half... something else. He won't tell. Neither will Ty.
Liam and Lilith are both elves of a lower caste. This might sound odd, but, Liam is an earth-sprite and Lilith is more of a dream-sprite.

The Race of the Resin People...?

 

Whoa. A fellow countrywoman? Although... that'd be Yumiko-tan I'm talking about , since I'm Peruvian with Japanese ancestry (my grandparents migrated from Okinawa to work as farmers in Lima). Anyway, I'm glad to see a Peruvian doll who's an example of our mixed culture. Oh, and I thought I was being original for giving my doll a Peruvian nationality and background, too...

Well, as I wrote above, I was thinking of giving my doll a Peruvian nationality, but in the end... the idea of giving my doll a personality and background story doesn't really appeal to me. I'd say my Ezra is from the Race of the Resin People too, although he's a Dragon Doll and thus, has some distinctive Asian features (but he's a DDoll Di, which is the doll with the less "stylized" look the company has, in my opinion).

 

I'm glad you appreciate the backstory I gave Yumiko. It's actually a tip of the hat to a beloved professor, Mary Ito, who came here from Peru and for whom Spanish is her first language. She was the first math prof I ever had who made math sensible to me. Of course the language of numbers is universal, and up until I got into her class it was one closed off to me.

Opal (Elfdoll Lydia) is some fantasy race, he's kind of half unicorn anyway.
Akira (Luts Lishe) is Japanese but not human either
and my incoming girl Kiora (Volks Sara) is Japanese/American

 

I never thought about race or specific country origins.

If I did I might have to stop thinking of them all as having my british accent!
