1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What RACE are your dolls?

Dec 28, 2005

    1. I don't have my kids yet, but I know who they will be when I get (or make) them!

Rayne and Vincent are Brittish, and they're albino (they're fraturnal twins)

Faye is their adoptive sister, and she's russian. She's also going to have really beautiful, light chesnut colored skin. :)

    2. My Lao Shan is Chinese, and when they arrive, or when I get around to buying them, my other boys and girls ethnicities are as follows-
      Oliver Poe- British
      Bailey- American
      Dylan- Japanese-American
      Setsuri- Japanese
      Matsuri-Japanese
      Amalthea- French
      Lukas- Lithuanian

Kind of a mixed bunch, but there you go. XD Right now the sole occupant of the house is Lao Shan, though.

    3. Vain is originally a Scot as in terms of nationality. As a race he's selkie and half vampire. The vampire part happening in his mid twenties, but he was born a selkiechild :)

    4. I myself dont like when people ask what race I am because they cant 'place' me in a group or tryto identify me.

I am basque but even if I say that people are like "Whats that?" So I think I am projecting this same 'tired of it' attitude on my dolls.

I am a earthling, human being and my dolls are dollings. No race for them Heh...

    5. My BJDs are all from my novel world, so the countries aren't the same as in our world. The geography is approximately the same, so the physical characteristics of the people are similar, but the nationalities are completely different. However, I'll try to match the characters with the countries or regions they would be from in our world. This also includes characters I don't yet have in doll form.

Alora is half Fae and was born in what would be Ireland.
Aramil is also half Fae, and is from the Wales region.
Mirin is yet another half Fae, from the Netherlands.
Mehka, Emi, Eva and Eldin are dragons, their clan lives in the equivalent of the Pyrenees mountains.
Drake is half-dragon, and although he is from the same clan as the other dragons he was raised in what would be northern Italy with his father's family. His actual birthplace is unknown.
The humans are as follows: Isaiah is from northern Italy, Eros and Isobelle are from southern France, Duncan is from the Swiss Alps, Brynn is unknown but likely from England, and Sasha and Benjie are from southern Germany.

    6. i dont even think about it 0o
first of all, cuz it would bother like: this on is... (exemple) chinese!
but i dont SPEAK chinese, so i cant make the caracter speak it and it feels not right, imcomplite to me
secondly, right now i have one doll, an elf with tan skin, green eyes and white hair. i got like : WTH could he be?? he doesnt look like anything! (by anything, i mean he doesnt seem to belong to any ethnis)
though i plan to have a portuguese girl.... thats the only one i know XD

    7. well, they are all japanaese , cause
I think my doll is look like that, and our dress are made like harajuku boys and girl
      I love that ^^

    8. i didn't thought of the race for my dolls yet.
      tis is the list:

      Chiaki (japanese)
      Tiara (Japanese)
      sora (american)
Asagi is a vampire, but he is sounds more like american (american)

    9. Let's see here...

      Issachar is American.
      Belzer is a vampire/Fantasy race.
Isais and Ilde are Elves (Forest elves).
      Lemuria is an Angel.
      Snefru is Egyptian.

    10. I suppose I really think of Allura as Korean, because that's where she was made, but I'm not sure about my big girl, when I get her. XD
Allura is kind of anti-race, being an anthro and all, so it doesn't bother me to think of her as Asian, but I think it might bother me to think of a more human doll by race. >.>

    11. Valentino and his future sister are both Hispanic/European.

And all of the rest of my future dolls are either European or European-descent, with the exception of one of them who is going to be a woodling sprite

      I like Europe. :D

    12. The races/ethnicity of my dolls depend on the character I made for them I suppose. My first guy, Yoko (Hodoo), is just all sorts of Asian but my girl, Kisa (Aru), strikes me as a kind of odd mix of German-Japanese.

    13. Scott (IH SooRi) is a mix of American/English/Korean
      Brayden (LUTS Chiwoo) is American
      Ash (Elfdoll Tasha) is Italian/American
Holly (CCC Deer Faith) is...a deer

    14. I don't think "American" is a race. I guess most people are thinking along the cultural line, which is cool

    15. My dolls live in a fantasy-ish universe where race is limited to human and not entirely human, so race is kind of meaningless. :sweat

I'm actually working to have every one of my dolls have a slightly different skin tone without breaking into exotic unnatural colors like green and blue. The dolls I currently own and on order are light tan (Elf) and normal skin (half human- half... goat. I can't wait!) The one I'm saving for will be yellow toned, and after that, white skinned, both humans.

I really want a dark tan doll, but I want to wait untill I'm a much more experienced BJD owner before I get one, if only becuase of how finicky dark tan resin can be.

    16. I considered all my kids are Koreans because that's where they were made before they came to me.

    17. My dolls don't have a race. :sweat I've honestly never put any thought into dolls having races, though I'm the same with people, to me even people don't have races, they're all just human and dolls are all just dolls.

    18. Mine are all races/species that I made up ('cuz I'm corny.)

Mikah: Agravin (he's rather tan for an Agravin btw.)
Yurii: Erm... we think he's a Visirien, or at least part Melanus....
      Morghan: Jinii ALL the way
New Unnamed Girl: I have no idea- she's a redhead, and we haven't met her yet
New Unnamed Boy(?): Not even sure of his/her gender yet- race undecided until arrival.

So yeah- I've made up around 70 or so different races over the years (they're all fleshed out and detailed too btw- just showing off XD) And each doll I get is one of these- not sure which until their character starts to form, but they all eventually end up being one of them. So yay! Fun...

    19. Race? Human so far.

    20. My thought exactly. I don't have any mystical vampire elf fairy zombie dolls, so they're all...human. I mean they're dolls, but uh, dolls that resemble humans.

Nationality wise, Thi was born in raised in England. Her mother was Vietnamese and her father was American, although they eloped to England together. Thus, Thi is from England.
