What RACE are your dolls?

Hehe I actually never gave it much thought!

To me they're pretty much all the same... I honestly never thought to assign an ethnicity to them ^_^

But I spose it would make some sense, depending on what kind of world or characters you're making with your dolls.

Well.. Most of my characters come from a fictional world, so it's not easy to give them a "race"... Two are humans, one is Russian, born in a country named Northern Confederation and the other is American. The last two (upcoming characters) Yon and Nicomedia, are a biodroid and a mutant, built/born in China.

 

My dolls are all pretty all over when it comes to their races. I have some from all over, since they are based off of RP character then made into dolls.

Nanashi: Is Eurasian. A mix between Celtic and Japanese. His father being Celtic, and his mother being Japanese.

Paradox: Is son to Nanashi and is more American blooded by his other father.

Pangaea: Is Sicilian. Born right in the beating heart of Italy, a pure Italian child.

 

Two of my dolls couldn't really pass as anything other than caucasian, so thats what they are. I didn't really have to think about that one. My Kohya could pass for northern asian with the right hair and eyes, but northern-asians and caucasians do look pretty similar. I want a few asian dolls, but there aren't many that look purely asian, also there's not much variety as far as african dolls, though I would like a beautiful african woman. What I really want is a female, middle eastern doll! When will someone make her so my dream can come true?

 

My Limwha Tan Mano was purchased from a collector who swears he is Native American. She is so right!!!

 

Elina and Raine would be English. If I ever get their big sister Tynne, she'd be half English half Norwegian, but a Norwegian national.
Vilhelmina is Swedish, and Natale's a bit of a mystery, but I think he's from Rome.

 

my light tan bobobie isabella can do middle eastern! i was surprised, cos normally she's hispanic mixed-race.

although in real life those often get confused. one time my husband (who has a semitic first name, a VERY spanish last name -like Smith is english- and facial characteristics that include tan skin and a vaguely eastern look) was listed as saudi arabian at his ESL school. OK there are a lot more saudis than colombians learning english at the intensive schools in Charlotte, but still...

yeah so anyway you might try a bobobie girl in the right size, and get her in light tan. with the right hair and (if appropriate) local style of dress, you may find her to work for a middle eastern woman. i think the bobobies can do a lot of different ethnicities because they are a little stylized and so they don't quite "look like" or not look like any real nationality. (which of course can be an illusion anyway )

Although, Sasha is Russian in an obligatory sense. For some reason I don't feel like she understands me unless I speak to her in Russian.

Thanks for the suggestion, Isabella is cute, but I don't see her as middle eastern >.< I'd want an adult lady with strong bone structure

 

Kumo is Japanese/American,
Minou is... nothing in particular, but his name has a french vibe I guess.
Kaela is Jewish, but was born and raised in Brittain.


Totally agree on the thing with a middle eastern lady. If there is a doll that could look like she was Arabian, I would probably fall in love.

 

My doll is American, from Yuma, Az.

 

Amelia is from another planet, but her race is human. Her ethnicity however, is Asmodian. When she gets older she will ascend to a Daeva, and no longer be human, but she's a little too young for ascension. She also can't ascend unless she goes back to Asmodae and has the power of aether surrounding her to act as a catalyst for the transformation. Basically, without aether everyone is human, so in this world, she can only be human.

Yes, that was complicated, but if you've played the MMORPG Aion, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

 

My ladies come from my fantasy world so they are...Lenari. Which is...nymphlike...I guess? They come from Silldelai...which means nothing to anyone but me. They are what they are...and are only called such because I like it. *shrug*

 

Wolf is 1/2 human, 1/4 Shinigami, and 1/4 wolf.
Corvas is 1/2 human, 1/2 Shinigami.

Jareth is 100% human.

I am also waiting on two dolls one is a fantasy doll one is Elf and the other is going to be Vietnamese or Chinese it will depend on my opinion when I see them.

But as a soon to be collection I have 3 humans (2 English, 1 Transylvaninnain/Romanian), 3 vampires ( 2 Transylvaninnain/Romanian, 1 English), another werewolf (middle eastern), a Onikuri(demon eating) Tengu(Japanese), and a 1/2 vampire and human(ummm Romanian/English mix?).

But that would be my races so for. XD

Rune (CP redemption the moon) is... hard to explain.. I just call his kind a hybrid.
Desic (BC gun) is a shapeshifter.
Glyph (KDF bory boy) is a half breed, half blue dragon, half hybrid.
Rail (nanuri07 mod) is a vampire.
Keno (pipos bao limited) is a fox, of course.
Kasidi (DMK u-jee girl) is a shapeshifter.
Lucian (limited SW lance) is half angel and half Enari elf.
Shinki (MNF woosoo boy) is a wolf demon.
Nalin (B&G afra) is half wood elf and half water fae.
