1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What RACE are your dolls?

Dec 28, 2005

    1. I think I have replied here once, a long time ago, but my collection has grown and changed a lot since then, so.....

      The Tinies:
      Ed: Caucasion (American)
      Peony: Caucasion (English)
      Lenore: Caucasion (English)
      Heath: Caucasion (American)

      The SDs:
      Mikos: Caucasion (Greek)
      Bethany: Caucasion (English)
      Jerri: Caucasion (English)
      Shaun: Persian
      Farah: Indian
      Aisha: African American
Guide: generally human, possibly, but at this stage it's too late for an autopsy, so no-one is certain.

      The Others:
Jon: Mixed (half Japanese, half English)
Judas: Mixed (1/4 Japanese, 3/4 English)
Jessica: Mixed (1/4 Japanses, 3/4 English)

    2. Axlinde is supposedly caucasian, but (unbeknownst to his character) there is some Japanese on his father's side.

Aislynn is a full-blooded, Irish fae.

    3. I generally think my dolls are the race that their skin color is, so I consider most of my dolls to be caucasian, though the Elves and Alexander (a vampire) are sort of fantasy, so not any human race at all. Toby, a normal skinned Ringdoll, is quite yellow comparatively, and has more of a Latino look.

Still, I don't really regard my dolls as being anything but the characters they are. Sure their skin color is a consideration I take when buying the dolls, but after that it doesn't matter so much to me. Certainly not nearly as much as their character!

    4. Keiko is samojed so that means Mongolian race.
Sayuri is of unknown nationality but caucasian.
Maya is half samojed, half norwegian so she's a mixed race.
And my Pukifee gang are all elves

    5. Relia is Scandinavian, Swedish, to be exact.
Miette is.. well, tbh, I have no idea.

    6. Hahah!

Cecilia is French, Irish, and German. Though she was born in France and is primarily French. (full French mother, Irish-German father)

    7. Ariana - Caucasian human most of the time, occasionally turns into a fairy. Believe to be half/part french, otherwise.
Caleb - Werewolf, has mostly a greek heritage, with some norse and italian.
Dyani - Some type of deer person, lol not sure what to call her. Still working on her history, etc. some.
Luna - Caleb's daughter. Mother was a white furred "werewolf".

    8. Heh, I feel so unoriginal now. xD;; Euphemia is plain old Caucasian, of the Eastern-European variety.

    9. Well, My Supia Rosy is Korean. The character she represents wasn't Korean before I got the Rosy, but when I got the doll, it all seemed to fit together. Being Korean helped me form a solid background story and worked out perfectly.

As for my MD Ryu, he's got quite a bit of Italian in him, but he's also a mut. Some hungarian, some British. Mostly Italian/Hungarian though. His nationality was more solid before I got him a doll, but Ryu thankfully works as that kind of mix (at least I personally think so).

    10. Ohhh what a funny and intelligent thread^^

It happen to me some times to wonder what were my dolls 'race' I started to think about where they come from. I generaly buy my dolls second hand because adopting is a must for me and I like it this way, Dahlia my romantic Dillui came from France, I wanted her to be a french girl without the accent =P
My Hujo is a Canadian/Quebequer but his family are from Finland so he is.
Aliss is a German girl who immigrate at Quebec but she learned pretty well our french language
And Arielle, daughter of Aliss and Hujo is a Mix of German and Finland but Aliss gave birth of her at Quebec so it make her a quebequer like her father^^
I have this dream to have a Dollfie Dream or a Volks girl that will came from Japanese immigrate at Quebec too. But something sure its thats everyone is human, except maybe for Dahlia, she is sometime strange

    11. Mauro and Leander are vampires and for some reason I always thought they where english.. don't know why.. originally they came from London..
Doc is human, don't know where he comes from, a little town somewhere
Promise, also human and also comes from a small town, don't know where..
And Delilah, well, she could even come from another dimension.. I really have no clue about that one..

    12. I can't help myself but being a little bit tired of dozens and dozens of Japanese characters in the BJDs world.
It's not like I have anything against the Jap people at all, but it's like 'oh... ANOTHER Japanese...'. The same with angels, demons and vampires.

Do not get offended, of course everyone can have their dolls as they want, and my words are just my humble opinion (and obviously there ARE a load of awesome angels/vampire/demon characters that I do love).

In my case, my characters are all 'aliens', so I cannot apply the race standars. They seem humans, and can be similar to some race in particular, but apart of that, I only can say they are from a sci-fi world xD

    13. Yeh...there are too many japanese dolls....but.... >_>
Az is German, but he was raised in Japan.
      Russel is Greek.

    14. My Marion Rose [SD13 Elena] is Caucasian :o

    15. An interesting read. I enjoy seing how much thought is put into all the different characters. In my house we have:

      Humans
      James: Caucasian (English)
      Vashche: Caucasian (Russian)
      Ciarin: Caucasian (Irish)
      Cernach: Caucasian (Scot)
      Ji Won: Asian (Korean)
      Yi Qian: Asian (Chinese)
      Julian: Caucasian (English)
      Alejandro: Spanish
      Kendra: Caucasian (American)
      Marcus: Caucasian (American)
      Lithe/Riann: Caucasian (pre-medieval human)

      Non-humans
      Solephone: Greek/Roman goddess
Thistlewing: North American faerie (Caucasian looking)
Emi: North American pixie (Caucasian looking)
Poppy Pepperpot: Asian flower pixie (Thai)
Snippet: Bavarian pixie (German, Caucasian looking)
Breckon, Brixton, and Falken: forest elflings (blue, lilac, and green...)
      Vanyaturë: Maia (Caucasian looking)
Ulathylis: unknown mer-critter race, not of this world

    16. My two are definitely The Race of The Resins.
I couldn't put race, nationality whatever to my dolls. Its not something I thought of. Now that I have I still can't see it, especially as one is an Elf :)

    17. I guess I've never thought about it myself- if you asked Gracie she's from Korea, where Souldoll is. I guess nationality and race just don't work in my dolly world...:)

    18. Mine will most probably be American (Zephyrus) haha!

    19. My doll(s) (incoming and planned! :O ) will mostly be American haha :sweat But with some sort of Scandinavian or German ancestry on the mother's side and a little Asian (or possibly Polynesian, haven't fleshed it out yet) on the father's side. then they have two adopted boys- Nicolai and Noelle from Russia.
