What RACE are your dolls?

Choseol: Slavic
Sprite: non-human (blue!)
Nu Kwa: Chinese
Brownies: non-human!
Anthy: I really don't know yet... black, yes, but whether she's Afro-Carribean or Aboriginal Australian I haven't decided.

 

I know that races tend to segregate others or make others sterotypes or what not, but I live in a world surrounded by MANY different nationalities and lived in other countries so its really no big to me to say one of my dolls is from this heritage and the other is from this. I think it gives my dolls "background" or a "History" and heritage like traditions and such.

My friend asked me if I had any dark skinned dolls or if they even made them and i was like well there are people who tan and people who actualyl sell them like that, and they make some beautiful dolls that I would gladly adopt into my family! (iplehouse **droooooool**)

but for now, I have mostly pale skinned to a peachy toned skin dollies (natural toned? its not natural for alot of real people!)

My SD boys
Victor- He's actually an albino, so really doesn't show that he's from Eastern European decent.
Autumn- Is a mix of Irish, scottish, italean, mostly italean. He's from the Southern part of the US. I imagine when he gets worked up he has an accent, otherwise he tries to speak without it.
May- She's an OC from a story from a parrellel universe type world, sooo...but she looks like she could be from european decent, peachy skin, blue/green eyes, light brown, curly hair.

my MSDs
Adele, Kayliegh, Liam- are triplets from Ireland, they moved from Ireland because of their father's work, they also have dropped their accents a bit, Liam til has his, Kayliegh loves hers, Adele tried to frop hers when they moved because of the attention it gets in the US.

Aiden- American, from the northeast, I'd imagine he grew up in a big city LIKE New York, but not as intense, he might have a very choppy voice and use alot of teen slang. He has naturally black hair and natural very light green eyes, so he could a couple different things, but his family has beenin America for generations

Rosabela and Lokepele- Their heritage is mostly Italean but somewhere along the line Lola ends up with red hair and Rose's hair is dyed pink but is naturally brown. They have different mothers.

Pippin is just an impy little Pongpong, he is a creature...lol

I have two incomplete girls that I'm not sure where they're from or what their heritage(s) will be...one of them will be from England I'm thinking...

 

My Wilka is a fallen angel, so.......No races..xD

 

All humans are the same race, whether african, german, etc. ^^; So what race/nationality would be more accurate to the question...
My dolls race would be Human I guess. They don't really have nationalities though. Not at this point storywise anyway. I have story characters who are all kinds of nationalities though.

 

I haven't really given it a thought yet. I have a Unoa Lusis.
Unoas look a bit like manga characters in a way, to me at least. very cute features.
I suppose she could be japanese, since she was made there.

 

My Yue is Fey. .. he's actually a moon spirit created by the goddess.. who is new to the mortal realms. And, quite young for the spirital/fey realms. He looks like an Elf though So most just assume he's a cute lil elf boy who's insanely pale

He'll be gaining a sister soon, and she's going to be Star... Who, is a fallen star.
And, the third doll who's concept is in the making, might just be human. But, you never know All I have is hair and eyes for him. He might end up completely none human

 

Aoife (BBB Mei) is most definitely Druichi (Dark Elf). Pale white skin, pointed ears, and so forth screams Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay Dark Elf to me.

My dolls are part of a fantasy world so their races are demons, angels and stuff like this. I never thought about a nationality oO I'd say their nationality depends on the company but... My girl Shima was produced in Japan, her boyfriend Ryog in China and their daughter comes from South Korea... I guess this won't work out! OO'

I...actually never thought about this. I just named him Nathaniel and I did, at some point, think, "Gosh he doesn't look Korean." But I didn't think of giving him a nationality.

Florinel insists that he was originally French before he was turned. Technically he's a vampire, but seeing as his occupation is that of a troubadour, it makes sense?

The other two boys I have on the way are modelled after a couple of my favorite characters though. One's human, the other is a dhampire xD

 

Are we using the term Dhampyr (traditional spelling) to denote someone being born to a vampress that was turned while the child was gestating in the womb, thus being half human half vampire, as in the more modern usage of the word?

Dhampyr was just an old Germanic / Wallachian spelling of Vampire before the meaning got changed with the Blade films and with the Dhampyr comic from DC Vertigo, plus some earlier literary references stretching back to the late 19th century...

Just interested in your take of the work Dhampyr, that's all.

Baz is British, Caucasian descent.
Goss is British, half Caucasian, half Korean descent. ...With a Liverpool accent. lol. :'D
And Embry is British, half Caucasian, half Korean descent.

Yeah, I just want them to have British accents if they spoke. ...lol.

Other characters wish/saving to have doll forms:
Yder- Spanish, Italian, & (I forgot the other)
Ace- English
Pompey- Roman
Crossus- a "shadow" but lived in Rome
Medieval- European (not yet specific because I forgot)

(in the story) They actually have a mansion in Spain and England but due to Yder's job(he's a doctor), he decided to also build a home in the Philippines. They also have their main mansion in the other dimension. Living in different places and countries(and things about nationality) is hard but they manage to survive.

Forgetting my sister and I's character's nationality is a shame T_T sorry Medieval and Yder.

 

Most of my characters are either pure Filipino or a mix of another race and Filipino. I know Freya and Freyr are mixes. Their dad's european, but I guess he's either German, English, or whatever. I haven't really given it much thought. Besides, he's really supposed to have mysterious origin, and he can live for several millennia. We Filipinos come in a wide range of colors from moreno to almost white.

 

My BJD are supposed to be, although peculiar, human race, but I also understand this thread, I have been searching for as I have been thinking about this (And realized about the variety among my crew), as a kind of nationality of BJD questionnaire.

Here the nationalities the BJD members of my troop would belong to in real life:
