What RACE are your dolls?

My dolls are:

Harvey Alexander James Moon, DIM Archernar - English
Aika Endo, AOD Min - Japanese
Damien Thorn, Soulkid Eldon Black - Italian born, American raised, mommy was a jackal, daddy is Satan haha!
Calliope Violet Thorn, IH Tatiana - American, cousin of Damien but not the spawn of Satan.
Noh, AOD Min - most likely Japanese but not sure yet
Fiipii, CCC Fidelia - Of a race known as "Winker", which is obviously made up, and also based on a private joke.

Well:
One of my boys is Japanese Vampire, the other is Japanses witch/vampire, and my incoming girl is a shapeshifter/witch and she is American as far as I know but that is not for sure.

Zin is Jewish, of German descent and proud as hell about it.
My next boy, Tantalus, is Russian/Irish, but only culturally identifies with his Russian side.

 

This thread is so interesting to me. I noticed that when I started looking for which doll to buy, each company has a dominant ethnicity in their sculpts. I really liked Dragon Dolls because their dolls are very Asian and reflect more closely what I look like than other doll companies. But I also noticed that dolls I liked, mainly from Soom and Soul Dolls and such have more caucasian features. I think that my Soom Breccia will be a mixed race/nationality girl. I'm not sure of her background yet, but she will definitely be a mix of one or more Asian nationality and one or more European nationality.

 

I took nationality (or well, race) as a helper to find a name for my doll. I don't think about it much, but I do like his name. xD
Haneul's Korean. But I don't know about my future DZ Hid (or if I end up making a Hybrid) at the moment though.

 

Wow this is really interesting... I never gave much thought to this before... but uhm... now that you mention it, my boys... judging by their names and all I guess they're kinda... English? (Oh wait nevermind... one of them is French) lol I really have no idea... they can be a mix of some European decent but I know for sure they're not Asian/Oriental... because they don't look that way to me! xD

Hmmm. Since I've got some fantasy dolls planned, I'm going to take this as more "species" than race lol. I only have Sephie home with me right now, but I've already planned everyone else's characters.

Human: Sephie (Soulkid Katie A), Ginny (Peakswoods Yeru the Soul), and Van (AS Lucifer)
Elf: Tiaen'thel (DIM MNM Princess Zelda)
Naga: Dyone (Elfdoll LE Pandora)
Web-walkers: Euratus (Angelheim Zion), and Sylph (RS/BBB Mu)
???: Mimi (AS Mandarava)

 

Race/Nationality are the last things I think of for my dolls (and my characters, in general) ^^"
But I guess as really general overlook, there are some that are half human (unknown nationality) and half demon/mythical creature, I'm pretty sure none of my dolls are of Asian decent ('Cept for one, he might be Korean >> ), most are either American or European, and I know for a fact that Tep (Pipos Bao) is Egyptian! 8D" I have another character who will hopefully have a doll forme soon, named Atrophy, who is also Egyptian, but speaks with a Russian accent. (How, I really can't say. It just happened |D)

 

so, i've established that my darktan BBB/RS dolls are, in fact, from another planet. so i haven't figured out, what all races they have over there (like, are they from the only race, or just a fairly common race? or what). all i have decided about the genetics back in their home planet is that while dark skin is common, brown eyes are not.
but when they come here, they are seen as Caribbean immigrants, because they "landed" in Haiti and Dominican Republic, respectively, and picked up their first understanding of Earth people in those countries.
(intergalactic bus-stops are concentrated in Developing Countries so that when people report the UFOs, the powerful countries with missiles and all that won't pay any attention)
they speak with their minds, not their voices, so... they don't "sound" like immigrants, (except in the important sense that immigrants are also often silent, or silenced...) but they did have to learn to write different languages.

 

Toujou Kiyomi is half-French, half-Japanese. I've got her whole back story in my head which involves a French science and technology institution and an escapade to Japan. How did she end up in Singapore with me? I'll think about that one later when she arrives.

 

Luina and Laela (i just oredered her faceplate.. get a body soon) Are both Blood Elves although Laela won't have elf ears..
In the future i'm getting one who is a robot (she's gonna have a circuit board implanted to her thigh lol) and i'm getting a French aristocrat, and russian ghost twins.. yay! A wizard too..

 

My mfn Karsh is a halfling, but otherwise i haven't really thought about his nationality or anything. It wouldn't feel right if he was Finnish like i am.. it's so not his style

Azrael - None, just an angel of death. XD;

 

I must say I never gave a thought about my dolls race... Even still one of them had dark skin colour. They´re mostly Korean dolls but I haven´t thought them having oriental roots either. Would probably consider them as "European" just because they feel somehow familiar to me. Not that there wouldn´t be anything wrong with another nationality, but I think reason is I haven´t felt them like "foreign kids" but just kids.

 

Pretty much all of my projected doll family are going to be either Russian or Welsh. The one I have now is Russian, and the one on the way is my little Welsh prince ^__^ I never really got into fantasy/elvish/fantastic worlds and such, so I prefer to base my characters in established (usually historical) cultures.

Ellie - Volks Lillie - Well, her mommy is 1/2 Japanese 1/2 Caucasian (her mom is Absinthe) and her daddy is Caucasian.
