What RACE are your dolls?

My Ringdoll Pan is Anglo-Saxon.... though I haven't decided for sure which specific nationality yet.
My Resinsoul Yu was originally Greek but got turned into a Fae.

My sister is getting a Bobobie Long that we both agree at least looks like one of those paintings of French aristocrats. so he'll probably end up being French.

 

My two boys are human and do have nationalities. Even before buying them, when I was still making research I already started to think about their nationalities. I'm a Translation student and for me language and nationality are important aspects. I think it's a nice thing for a dolly to have a nationality, it's like a part of the character. Besides, a name usually is connected to a particular country or language. Even original names sound closer to one or another language.

So, answering the question, my Leeke boy Heine is half-German and half-Austrian, and my DIM boy Ryutaro is Japanese.

 

Well, Sydie (DM Suntan Momo) is Italian - both Northern and Southern.

Ernst (DM Joshua) is... well... He's Caucasian, and his last name is Wallace, so he's probably at least partly Scottish. Never actually gave him an ethnicity. Oops. But nonetheless, he's American and probably a mutt.

And Tyler (OOAK), he's my crazy hybrid boy! He's 1/4 Human, and that quarter is Chinese. Then he's 3/4 demon. He's part Infernal demon, and they generally look more Arabic. He's part Lilitu (Incubus/Succubus), and Lilitu roots are Persian. Finally, he's part Kodama, which, duh, are Japanese. So put it all together and he's Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and Persian.

 

The doll I have I would class as a Japanese Entity, a bit like a representation of life~

 

I'm thinkin' my girl is Japanese, even though she doesn't have a Japanese name. Maybe half Japanese would make more sense....I don't think I've ever really thought about it before, to be honest.

 

My characters are either Human or an evolved hybrid called 'Lupa'. Their whole storyline is pretty much based around the conflicts & discrimination that the 'Lupa' have had to endure since they have 'changed' (they were around early to mid teens when they turned). Although they were originally Human I still consider them a different race.

 

My boy is a demon. Is that a race? I guess you could say he's Latin, if anything?

 

My Breakaway is Canadian.
And I'm not sure about my twins, I was thinking European maybe?

 

So far all my planned dolls but one are human. My El is Japanese, and I know I'm going to have one Korean boy, then there will be a half Welsh, half Fey boy much much later on...

 

My boy is English- yeah he ain't that fancy lolol
and my incoming MSD is a French/Italian mix

 

Kameron is half French half Norwegian and an Incubus with partial human blood
Daedalus is French and an Incubus with partial Vampiric blood
Kay is Norwegian and just as his half brother Kameron an Incubus with partial human blood
Dragnen is Icelandic and a Lycan

 

This is true, I always wondered why they don't generally look Asian. To me they are generally more European or North American. I'd say my DoD girl (soon to be two) are either one of those. I haven't fully decided yet as I'm still working on a story for them.

An interesting topic, though.

 

I've thought about the topic before but never really "decided"
and I don't think I'm going to give them any race or country o.0 (maybe in the future who knows)
I guess the name will have a big influence on later ^ - ^

Kyrie- Greek siren
Ring- Was born in the U.S., but his nationality is probably run-of-the-mill Caucasian. [He doesn't remember, and is a vampire.]
Lolli- Strictly human, Caucasian
Ishtar- Solar Exalted, and a Southerner [She's from Gem..doesn't get much more Southern than that!]
Luke- Human, but living with the Fae has turned him into something in-between.
Ink & Bubble: Sprites
Appleblack: Human, raised in the New German Republic
Satu: Seelie Sidhe
Winter: Fae

 

Some are Human, some are Fae, one is a Dhampir and another is a Veira.

Race? Pf, what is this race you speak of? I have never heard of such a thing! All jokes aside, I really never gave them races nor care to ever do so. They just look... pretty I guess.

 

My dolls don't really have a set race... They're all human (even my pukis with the point elf ears), and they're all European, but other than that I havent really thought about it. My soom winnie dee afi is a deer, so even though she's person shaped she's actually not human. And my anthros are of course not human either. =P

 

I know that Merlot is French for sure. Zinny is non-human so he has no race (unless you count ickle watermelon faerie as a race?). And Treu... I dunno yet. It'll come to me xD Poor dear doesn't even have a face up yet, now he needs a race? I'm putting so much pressure on him!

 

Mine are Asians - Korean, Japanese or Mixed race (like Homme Ivan is half Korean). Possibly Chinese in the future too.
