1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What RACE are your dolls?

Dec 28, 2005

    1. I thought my realskin JID Amy was about the same colour of Jessica Alba, so I thought I'd make her what she is xD
So she's Mexican-American, Danish, and French Canadian. Maybe some Italian ;o (and maybe some witch hahahah)

    2. Eunhwa is Korean and part Irish (like his mommy ^^), and I'll possible have a Japanese or Chinese doll in the future, but it depends~ I usually gravitate towards Asian because I think their names are beautiful, and I also rather keep them the ethnicity of the country they were from, like Eunhwa is a Ninodoll Namu head on a Soom body, which are both Korean ^^

    3. Danika is Korean - English, born and raised in New Zealand.

    4. Eloise is British and Dorothy is Canadian. I'm a little afraid to admit it though because they're pretty stereotypical and I don't want to get chewed out xD not so much with Dorothy really, but Eloise is terribly so. She practically lives off tea, wears flouncy dresses, and is fairly no-nonsense. Hahaha... it wasn't intentional!

    5. my dolls dont have race unless they look Japanese or are fantasy creatures and have fantasy races e.g. elves.

    6. Honestly, I haven't thought much about this... Inhabitants of planet resin, maybe??? ^_^

    7. My dolls are from various places. Paul (my CH Little Junior Mars) is Scottish. Robin (my AoD Xun) is Spanish. Renton (my DZ Raphael) is an Astral Deva in shapeshifted mostly-human form (Astral Devas are a race in Dungeons and Dragons.) Addy (my Bobobie Lucky) is English and my twins (DZ Momo & Nono) are French.

    8. |D Matt's American, Horatio is French (he has trouble pronouncing the H in his name ;3; he's adorkable) and Hades is greek.

Monster Imai, my little NZ heart did flipflops when i saw your boy was born here X3

    9. I have exactly 31 flavors of doll here, which is a bit much to itemize here. :XD: Some of them don't really have a race, or rather I've never bothered to assign them one... Some of them are not of this world, so they're made-up races... But most of the earthly characters are from specific points of ethnic/racial origin, and many of them are mixed-race. For some reason there's very little ethnic or racial 'purity' around here, not too many thoroughbreds, possibly because I grew up accustomed to the ways of the American Melting Pot around me.

Most of the large gaggle of Volks SD13 schoolboys are Japanese or Japanese-American, or some undecided mixture thereof, because there is just something about that prevailing Volks aesthetic that points towards Japan. :> The rest are a pepper mix of varieties, with lots of hyphens involved.... Laika's parents are Finnish but he's a native New Yorker (he is one of the few who has 2 parents of the same ethnicity ^^); Adrian is some Anglo-German-American white blonde mixture; Remy is solidly French but his father is third-generation Tunisian-French; Karim is Moroccan but his mother is Egyptian; his cousin Ilya is Egyptian-Ukrainian; Radu is a Turkish-Romanian-Syrian-Bulgarian-etcetera Gypsy; Stavros is second-generation Greek-American; Zero and Miroslav and Zhaaselin are incubi; Santiago & Bruno are shoulder-imps; La'lyraa is a merman....

    10. anglo or caucasian are ethnicities, too. if that's who they seemed like to you, there's not reason not to make them that.

i would worry about the effects of tea on resin, though...

      ;)

    11. Zatchary is a fae, but he's Japanese and Scottish {Daddy Apollo was Scot, mother was Japanese}.
      Lamb is English.

    12. Hmmm... Races...

I've got a half-fairy half-dragon, a tree elf, two dragons, a greek god, a greek hero-turned-god, and a human (japanese, wee!) turned unclassified magical creature.

    13. All boys are Korean except for Akiyo, who is Japanese

    14. my Girl is Chinese, i'm not sure what my boys race will be.
My 1/6th is Japanese with an upbringing in italy.

    15. Both my dolls are Czechs alhough they have foreign names (German and Scandinavian). :D :D (I don't like Czech names.)
They can't be Koreans or something like that, because they don't look like Asians and they can speak only Czech and a bit English (like me). :D :D

    16. My big boys are both demons (from mine and friend's shared fantasy world), though the demon world is very psuedo-Europe-esque.

Cassius' noble house's name (Erde) is derived from German, though his family seems more Scandinavian-ish, with both his father and older brother being built like huge blonde vikings. Cassius himself is a pale weedy thing. Doyle...I don't know...again, he's a demon, and technically noble, but from the up and coming merchant class, and is honestly probably pretty much a mutt.

My two floating heads are starting to look like they're going to be twin siblings from the same story world, though human, not demon. Their dad is an American of English and Irish descent (and totally a ginger) and their mom is half-Japanese half-American.

Benjamin doesn't really have a background, he's just adorable, so I'm not sure for him. And my Appini wants to be a grey tabby.

    17. My entire crew isn't of this world, most are humanoid in a place in my mind which for some reason I have never named. Shame on me! I'll get to work on that. Some are of a created race, my healers of the Oha tribe.. the grey skin nocturnal people of the Umbra. I tend to name them from the company location.. sort of. I love them all!

    18. Well, since most of the boys (that includes my girl doll) are not human, there's not much to list here. However, Zowie is very much British and Darroh's roots go back to the Netherlands and Sweden. Born and raised in the US though.

    19. I do hope to get more dolls and hopefully have them from many different places :)
      as for now though:

Ferah - Half Japanese and half English
      Fabian - Italian

    20. Well, Mitsuhiro is Japanese but moved to the US to make a name for himself internationally as an actor. Despite having elf ears and a Japanese nickname, Mirai is an American woman of caucasian descent. She's a mad scientist who follows her own aesthetic, hence doing things like surgically altering her ears to be pointed or hiding her "boring" birthname. Sophie is a ghost from an alternate dimension, so there is no corresponding nationality. Chantal is French, and my upcoming boy will be British most likely.
