1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What RACE are your dolls?

Dec 28, 2005

    1. Lets see, this is my family:

      Junjie: halv Japanese, half Chinese
      Ärindis: Swedish Fairy
      Ayame: Japanese
Erelim: he is an angel, do not have an ethnicity
      Nilaihah: same as for Erelim
      Ash: Englishman
Kirrily: father half japanese/half chinese, mother American

I do put a lot of thought into naming my dolls, and giving then ethnicity (usually mirrored in their names). So it's important for me :3

    2. Well... Hikari looks very asian, so she is Japanese. Lilith is European. Sally... must be from Europe... Jin and Kei are part Japanese part European. :3 I'm American but I like European stuff.... @_@

    3. When she arrives: Satsuki is Japanese. :3
I was originally planning to get a different doll mould to represent my character, but Suki was always meant to be Japanese and when I saw a BJD that finally looked realistically asian, I thought I'd go for the realism.

    4. I decided not to give a specific race to my dolls just b/c they look diff when you put on diff eyes and hair.

    5. Well, all my dolls are "American" but I took their blood race into account when picking their names

the two I have at home now, Yuzuki and Takeshi, are Japanese but their not actually human. I never actually decided what they are, I call them pukis (even though only Yu-chan actually is a pukipuki mold)

Vadik is fun, his father is an immigrant from Russia and his mother's parents are immigrants from Italy so he got a mixture of Italian and Russian names: Vadik Annunziato Durante Zolnerowich. The first two names are variations on his parents names and the second middle name is his mother's maiden name. He's also the only one on my dolls who has gotten more than one name.

Cyrille is a redhead (fake), has green eyes, and is a bit of a drunk a so at first I thought she was Irish and was going to pick out an Irish name. But then the the Cyrille in my head called me a racist and informed me she was mostly French

I have a few more half-formed ones that are various caucasian races

I really want an African doll, but I want one thats actually molded after Africans and not a caucasian/asian doll with a dark resin

    6. Yun is Korean since she has Asian features.
      Rose is an English vampire
My poor floating Anna's head is vampire as well which I still yet to develop her character.

    7. Your best bet for an African doll is Iplehouse; they have very nice, lovely ethnic features.

My dolls are all based from an story-world I created for a novel and roleplay purposes. They're a good mix of ethnicities; from the standard Caucasian, to Mulatto(biracial, and regional. I've always been fascinated how people within one country can vary in structure from province to province!).

    8. Kind of a funny question, but I like it ;) Noire's of a race of nightmare creatures, the Night Terrors, but beforehand she was human. When she was, I'm thinking that she was of mainly Irish heritage.

    9. Soraya is Sarenese.
The country Saren is on the Planet Mahira, which is usually where all my stories and roleplays take place.

It's a very small and peaceful country and sort of resembles ancient Korea.

    10. Violet is a water elf from a (made up, for story purposes) remote island in the seas near Japan and China. Basically, she was born on Airal Island (Just called Airal by the locals), moved to China (Bobobie is a chinese company), then to USA, then to me (Delaware, lol).

She travels alot, as you can see ^^; In my story, her parents send her off to get a job and start a life. Her little sister, Lillium, is a doll i'm planning to get (BBB Bei), is going to be sent off, too, because of the recent disasters in Airal. Violet's friend, and soon to be boyfriend once I buy him (BBB Song), will also be sent off.

So basically, most of my dolls will be elves :D

    11. My dolls are mostly tan dolls, yet they are Elves and fairies so they are the race of the
Fairy realm to me. Everything and anything goes. Tan skin & green hair. Fair skin and pink hair, etc.
All my dolls live in the Enchanted Forest , created by me:lol:
      ~Michelle~

    12. My girl is German-American, I think... or I've decided. :)

    13. Korean! defanatly

    14. Allen: Italian American
      Nadia: French with Africian descent
If that makes any sense at all :3

    15. Most of my dolls look japanese or korean and a few look caucasian. And my non-human dolls just look non-human. ^^

    16. Gabby is 1/4 French, 1/4 German, 1/4 Australian, and 1/4 Portuguese. He knows all four languages, too!

    17. Interesting thread..... Yukari and Shinobu are Japanese, and came to live with me in America. I always tell them to be proud of their heritage^^

    18. My doll's races are Caucasian.

Their ethnicities are kind of different, or not (haven't decided). I know that Emma is English, but her brother has a different mother than she does, so I'm not sure until I get a look at him what his ethnicity is.

    19. Are your dolls a different ethnicity than that of the company they came from?

for example the company can be in china but the doll can be french.

    20. Yes, definitely. Most of my dolls are made in China or Korea. Where the physical resin dolls are made has absolutely no bearing on my doll characters' ethnic origins. The location of the companies are all different than where my characters come from; in fact, I have no Chinese or Korean character at all.

The 'ethnicity' of my doll characters are mostly Canadian, but two are American, one is Jamaican, one is from Czech Republic, one is from Africa, and two are not even from our planet.
