What RACE are your dolls?

my hinaki is japanese even tho she looks nothing asian lol
just cuz i like talking to her in japanese and making her talk in japanese (=w= )

TK is Asian American like me. XD After taking a class on Asian American identity, I became interested in exploring multi-culturalism (not that I don't already do that in everyday life... ) Since he's physically Volks + CP, his ethnicity is half Japanese, half Korean.

 

Never bothered to think about it, myself. In my current story, while it takes place on Earth, it's a post-apocolyptic Earth where the geography is completely different because they actual surface of the Earth is completely inhospitable, so race is more or less irrevelant.

 

Well, Farah is Indian, and Shaun is Persian.

Kerry is an Eldar. (Like elves, but in space...)

Uh, Coal is Japanese/Italian but born in Arizona so he's American. Yuu is Mexican/Canadian, born in Canada. Jini is American, and her family has been here for years, and probably immigrated early on from England or some such mutt-ness like that.

 

Well, Karrian was born and raised in Great Britan until he was five, and then moved to America with his parents, where he picked up his regular American accent.
Sultra was born in America, but has German and Native American blood. S'where he got his pale skin and dark hair.
Karo.. Karo is a fox demon. xD With Irish.

 

Kerri is American. She lived in America all her life (well, that we can remember). In reality, she's a selkie from Ireland. Her "parents" kidnapped her when she exploring on the beach and stole her skin. So she became like a normal child.

 

Henry is a human, a wizard. "Born" and raised in Southampton, England. He's a regular Chiwoo.

Harold is a disembodied portion of Henry's soul. Since he's apart of Henry, he is British by proxy. Modded Chiwoo-S.

James is a druid-hybrid. Somewhere in the UK. He won't tell me. Lahoo.

Amatsu is a phoenix. Japanese, Kyoto area. Shiwoo Elf.

Updated list:

Raziel and Trixie are French, even though their names aren't French at all. They're last name, Reynolds, is even spelled/pronounced the English way. But... They're still French, somehow... And human. (Since they're from a fantasy world that has non-human races... but it still has a France for some reason)

Zane and Keyi are shapeshifters. More specifically, Zane is a cobra shapeshifter of egyptian decent, though he was born and raised in Europe. Keyi is a crossbreed of Cobra, Hawk, and python shapeshifters, and her nationality is basically the same as Zane's, since she's his granddaughter and all.

 

Romeo has an interesting racial mix...

His mother is Italian, his father is half Korean half Japanese.

 

Raven is an Alenti Elf who woke one day to find herself "lost" from Altran and the rest of the Alenti race.

She's looking for a way home.

well my according to the names i gave them they'd be:

Henrietta - german meaning, 'ruler of the house' lmfao. i just got it from the anime Gunslinger Girl (thinking it was italian ) but oh well. . . it's a female version of henry, which coincidentally (or not) i wanted to give her as a nickname xD

Liam - irish. . .originally gaelic, meaning 'determined protector'

Belle - french, meaning 'beautiful' which is what shushu is!

Dante - spanish, italian (ding ding ding! kinda what i was going for xD), and latin origin, meaning 'lasting or enduring'

i think it's pretty cool how the names i chose for my wishlist dolls actually fit the character i was planning on portraying on them. . . except for henrietta o_0

 

Over here, character-wise we've got everything from regular mortal humans (Harumatsu, Chidori, Miss Snow and Tsung-Li) and human Exalts (Sannru, Karru, Chanter and the Alabaster Prince), to kitsune (Seimei and the Pups), to raksha (Teacup, Amber, Kaedae and Daisy), to Shadowrun elves (Shatterglass and Shakti), to kami (the godbeasts and Kitsumaru) and Incarna (Gaia), to a few formerly human members of the Restless Dead (Serras the ghost and William the vampire) and some even odder things. (Issun the poncel, and D... whose species is... very hard to explain. 0_o)

Ethnicly speaking, they vary a lot... Most of them are "fantasy"-types, so Earthly designations and national affiliations don't really apply. ^_^

Dominique (SR Shall): She says she's french, but I doubt she is. ;P

Kameko-Chan (Mod. Misia): Japanese, I guess...She's like a cartoon, so she doesn't really have a nationality. XD
Lavinia (Elf Ttori): American of Irish-Czech heritage. She's a bit of a redneck, too.
Melodiya (BC Lotti): High-bred Russian princess.
Noisette (Mini Gem Aren): Swiss~!

 

I've almost completely changed my doll story since last posting here my dolls all live in an alternate universe, but so far they're all the equivalent of Japanese. Though it's more like modern Japan than feudal, as they mostly dress in Western fashion. Despite that, though, they do have proper Japanese names with kanji (except my Cyndy who insists on having his first name written in hiragana only), and the established families have crests. Someday I'd like montsuki for everyone to wear, but right now that's a bit too expensive to commission
