  2. Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. I decided that my first BJD had to be MSD from Dollzone. But I couldn't choose between Megi, Rafael and Ro. Ro won the competition :)

    2. When I first found out about BJDs, there weren't a lot of companies around, and Volks was (and still is) my favorite. I never really clicked with a doll though, until SDC Kurenai came out. After about a year of wanting one, I found her here on DoA and snatched her up. I've had her ever since and I still love her to bits <3

    4. I'm going to answer for my adult self being interested in strictly BJDs...
      My friend was showing me pictures of various types, and when she showed me the sculpt for Alberta from DC I was totally in love. Maybe one day!

    5. I think the first ever doll that I wanted to get was MiniFee Rena back in 2011 or 2012. I wasn't able to get her then though because I didn't really have the funds back then to purchase anything expensive as I was just in high school. Not like much has change since then. Just now I'm more keen to saving up for stuff that I want to buy, especially when it comes for bjds. xD

    6. When I first found out about bjds, I came across Angell-Studio's Claudia. Boy, did I want her! She's a pretty doll with an innocent, pleasing expression. The clothes that were included in her set simply looked good on her. The gray wig that came with the set also suited her very well. I liked her so much I used her promotion photos as my desktop wallpaper. Alas, I was never able to get a hold of her. If I recall correctly, she was a limited edition doll to begin with. If I had the chance to buy her, provided I had the funds, I would most certainly get her. She would make a lovely first doll.

    7. I wanted an Iplehouse and wanted an Eva and she was the first one I got of the IP dolls. I still love her. The first BJD was my Luts Clary and I still love her also.

    8. The first doll I wanted to buy was from Ringdoll, I didn't buy him at the time because I didn't have the money. Now I'm happy that I din't buy him since I found out that I prefer 1/4 size dolls over larger dolls.

    13. Dream of Doll Yu, the Dream of Doll site was one of the first I came across. I also showed it to a friend, it made her buy a Too and she's still blaming me for getting her in the hobby XD
      I also really liked Dollzone Mo, but the doll I was really serious about was Serendipity Noel. Maybe because I tend to like girl dolls more. :)

      If I found some cute Yu or Mo second-hand I'll probably think about it, but I don't plan to get one in the near future.

    14. The first doll I seriously wanted, was indeed the first doll I actually purchased. A Dream of Doll Kirill. I was pretty enamored with most of Dream of Doll's sculpts, particularly Ducan, but ultimately to me Kirill looked most like the character I wanted to shell, was cheaper and was in a more manageable size as I'd never owned a doll that big before.

      Sadly, nowadays I doubt I'd purchase him. Of all my dolls he has my least favorite sculpt, not to mentioned I'm no longer really interested in minis.

    15. When I first got into the hobby I fell in love with Volks(and still in love them), but the first sculpt I fell in love and knew I had to have one day was a Volks Masha. I'm so happy she's a part of my BJD family.

    17. The first doll I wanted to buy, I think, was a Fairyland Mirwen. Over the last year (and the acquisition of my current dolls and seeing Mirwen in real life) I've realized I don't like her as much as I thought I did. She is a beautiful doll, but I don't think I'd ever actually buy her :)

    20. This is a good question! The first doll, the one that really got me into the hobby was soom Silt. Im a world of warcraft fan and the little shaman theme really called to me. I liked other dolls but the whole fantasy theme was just perfect. I didnt end up ordering her from the soom site, finding out the day after the event closed i could have bought her! Ughh. So i hunted and got her from the market place and although i got her the little shaman outfit and everything she refused to be a shaman sporting blue blushed syen feet, and pink and green hair!! Instead shes turned out to be my little shape shifter and i love her to bits to the point i want another one! ~<3
