1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What was the first doll you wanted to buy?

Jul 3, 2014

    1. The first doll I can remember that I wanted to buy was way before I knew what sizes I preferred or what brands were better etc.
But it was the Doll Chateau Y-Body 02 because of its slender beauty.

    2. The first doll i wanted to buy was the doll chateau Charles, my character 'Fool' is a unisex character and the dolls face is so beautiful and encompasses both male and female features.

    3. The first BJD I wanted to buy was the Impldoll Christoper. I loved her face sculpt and her elf ears and her white skin. (I did not like that Impldoll had given her such a weird name. The misspelling of "Christopher" still makes me crazy.) Anyway, I'm glad I didn't get her because she's about 63 cm and I think that the SD size would have been too much for me to handle at first.

The second doll I wanted to buy was the Batchix Lagoon. I did buy her and she was a perfect intro to BJDs! Seven months later and I now have about a dozen, in all sizes.
      NO REGRETS. :)

    4. The first doll I wanted was a Doll Chateau Alberta, but at that time I thought she was way too expensive so I settled for a cheaper doll.

    5. I really wanted a littlefee anne full set
I haven't gotten her bc she is long sold out
But tbh i'm not sure if i want her

    6. The first doll I wanted to buy was a PukiFee Luna, but since she was sold out, I settled for a basic LittleFee Ante. I love her and still have her. I grew bored of her after some years, but keep her in storage, in hopes that I'll one day be inspired by her again.

    7. The first doll I wanted to purchase was an Unoa Lusis but felt that the BJD hobby was way too expensive for me to get into at the time. She was one of the first BJDs I saw. If I did have the money, I still didn't even know where and how to purchase one. I'm now waiting on my first BJD (Minifee) and still learning about this hobby. I still do hope to have her someday.

    8. First doll I ever wanted was Dream of Doll's Homme Ducan, it was around 2009 or 2010. I think this was because Dream of Doll was the first doll company I found and I still like their molds, however I don't own any. Homme Ducan was not my first doll, I ended up byuing Dollzone Megi and I don't have him anymore. This was because I was scared of ordering outside of EU, so I ended up byuing my first doll from retailer. Also I did not want to pay too much (I had some sense with money back then, now I rather just eat noobles and save 600$ to buy a doll) and so I bought Megi.

    9. The first doll I wanted was also a Homme Ducan! I ended up getting a Volks Kun because she was at a local doll shop.

    10. The first bjd I wanted (really, really wanted--like struck by a bolt of lightening) was MNF Chloe. I stumbled upon her while looking for YouTube tutorials for faceups (because my little girl wants me to mod some of her Pullips, which I know are off topic.) I was immediately struck by her beautiful face and started googling for more pics and info, which is how I ended up here. I looked at lots of user pics for several different MNF sculpts, and there are others I really like, but Chloe is my dream girl. I currently have Chloe on layaway, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to call her Coco. :dance

    11. can't remember if i posted here or not...but it was actually a Ringdoll Sol, and as you can see from my signature, I've got other dolls but not Sol for some reason.

    12. First one I ever went :ablink: WANT was Luts Mia. Alas, she was limited, sold out, and an absolute grail to find secondhand; I kept her in the back of my mind, always on the hunt, even as I got my first (test) girl, and eventually several more. Until one glorious day, my roommate sent me a text like OMG GO TO LUTS and I jokingly said, What, is there a Mia? Her silence was answer enough. :XD: That girl was on layaway faster than you could blink! And she came home, and I adore her dearly (though she's currently packed away :pout:), and there is not a single regret! :)

    13. My first doll was actually Mei and she was hard to part with... I loved her innocent facial structure and was going to turn her into a faun. But, I ended up rehoming her for Ha-Yarn Cho and a zuzu Delf. I could have kept her, but Ha-Yarn Cho was very expensive, looks like me, and I don't want to get too over my head. I enjoy focusing on one or two dolls.

    14. the first doll i ever wanted was (and still is) Ringdoll Rebecca
and i hope that some day i have her ^^

    15. The doll that caught my attention was batchix' original Machina. Didn't end up with one, but I will get ahold of a mini-machina one of these days!

    16. Volks Songstress Cyndy, but that was ages and ages ago. My aesthetic preference and doll plans have changed a lot since then. Now, I look at her fondly, like an old acquaintance I never got to know quite as fully as I might've liked, but barely missed.

    17. Years ago, when I first got into this hobby, my then-girlfriend (now wife) asked me to look around and find a doll that I'd want to have as my own. I spent a few days looking at all the websites and photo galleries and everything I could find. I eventually arrived at a Volks SD13 Jun Tachibana as my dream doll.

Now I have her and she is amazing :)

    18. The first doll I wanted to get was volks yukinojo and now finally after about 2 years in this hobby he is going to be mine as I am paying a layaway for him currently.
Can't wait for him to arrive home though

    19. The first bjd i liked and wanted was a Crobi Doll Marisol. She is so beautiful. I loved the first deer edition with the white hair and the pink box. But there were only 20 of her in the world.. The first boy bjd i wanted was a Dollshe Saint on the old hound body.. Both really hard to find .. Honestly:):daisy Still love the sculpts ..

    20. The first resin girl I ever really wanted was a Volks MSD Mika, but then I realized they only had them in kit form and I wasn't old enough to feel confident in putting her together and a face-up would have been expensive, even though I wouldn't have gotten the factory face that I wanted! The girl after that was Angel Region's Cien girl in the basic white dress. After looking at owner photos, though, I realized she wasn't as pretty as the store photos. After her was an Angel Region Ren girl from the same basic line (which I now have! <3), and then after that, the AR Seio from the Platina Angels line. Obviously AR was my absolute favorite doll company and their old models are still some of my favorites! I feel like they provide the same aesthetic as Volks doll, with more facial variety and expression. Four years or so later, after AR stopped making those models, I found BF and fell in love. I didn't even realize they used the same sculptor until I got my first resin years after that!

I always knew I liked MSD-sized dolls the most- SDs are too large and Yos weren't popular enough back then to even know what they were, but I knew I didn't want anything smaller. Now I have two MSD-sized and two Yo-sized dolls!

Edit- I already posted here! Silly little girl.
