What was the first doll you wanted to buy?

I would say the first doll that I wanted to buy was a MNF Chloe, but that was when I first discovered the BJD hobby and I didn't know much about different sculpts yet. My interest in her faded over time as I found out about other sculpts.

The first time that I saw a BJD and felt that soul-crushing punch-in-the-chest "I PHYSICALLY NEED TO OWN THIS DOLL" was when I saw pictures of the MNF Mika fullset. I pined over him for around a year and a half until I finally ended up ordering one A La Carte from Fairyland a few weeks ago. ^_^

 

The first doll I ever really considered buying was Ringdoll Wagashi style-C, I thought she looked so cool in her fullset~!!
Later she became my first doll, but I got her in another style~I still love her to this day and as my first BJD she holds a very special place in my heart.

 

The first doll I considered getting was Tong Tong from 5Stardoll, but after more looking I found a doll loved more. I'll probably get Tong Tong someday tho.

 

I think the first doll I seriously considered buying was an Iplehouse Lawrence. This was a few years ago, so obviously it didn't happen, and now I don't have a desire to own him anymore. I still think he's an amazing sculpt, just not right for me!

 

I wanted a Blue Fairy TF Sarang and though I didn't quite get the exact boy I wanted through second hand sales I did end up getting another Blue Fairy TF boy and it just so turned out I REALLY love him :>

 

First doll I actually wanted to buy was an SD man - Asleep Eidolon Xun. I even saved enough money to buy him back in 2010, but processing time terrified me so much, that I bought my #2 doll from wishlist - Bluefairy TF May. I madr that decision, and 10 minutes later - the order was made. xD I don't regret now. All my dolls now are girls, and msd (until around two weeks from now - my SD girls from volks are about to arrive ).

 

The first doll that I ever wanted to buy was a lati yellow many years ago. At the time I couldn't afford to buy a doll so I just looked at owner pictures. Eventually they got boring and I moved on. The first doll I wanted and bought was an iplehouse Lonnie! I love her to pieces.

 

The first doll I really fell in love with is Ringdoll Norman, closely followed by Dollzone Snow. However even though I could buy Norman and he is actually in stock in a shop I regularly stalk (lol) his size just scares me and he won't fit in with the rest of my crew, so I decided I will get Snow instead

First one years ago was DIM Flowne way back when I was in high school and had never heard of bjds. I did get her head sculpt and get a Mirodoll body for her, so she became affordable through that method. She was not my first buy though, I got a Resinsoul Bei before her.

 

I'm really lucky. The first doll that I ever fell for so deeply was the Iplehouse KID Lisa "The Addiction" fullset. I loved it so much, and was so torn between the two versions displayed onsite (normal vs gray skin) that I ended up buying both, eventually. I don't regret it. I look at both of them almost every day and feel so grateful that they came into my life.

 

When I was at university I lusted after Blue Fairy Louis and Olive, I was seriously considering if I could justify spending some of my student loan on them but I always talked myself out of it because it was such a luxury item, so.. unneccisary and SO expensive.

I never did get one, which is kinda a shame as I still think Louis is adorable and Olive's little anxious face makes me go "d'aaaw". Maybe one day i'll have space and money to blow on such an extravagance, annoyingly I have a very hard time spending money on myself so my first BJD keeps being delayed and delayed and delayed by guilt and irksome practicality. Grrrr

 

I wanted to buy Volks msd ken that I remember, but I bought different one for first doll haha

 

I wanted to get a unoa lusis, but learning that she did not have a great mobility, I didn't get her :p

 

First doll I actually wanted to buy was an IOS Chaos, but I settled with a Doll Surreal Calliope, due to money issues. I don't regret my choice one bit, because after that purchase IOS had their sale and I was able to purchase my future Mister Hyde. And I must confess that I fell deeply in love with my Doll Surreal upon seeing her for the first time.

 

The first doll I remember seeing and loving was DZ Anne (I think? She was like a musician doll with short blue hair, and was released with a similar doll with a long yellow wig?). They took her off the Junkyspot at one point, which was the only place I knew where to get BJDs at the time, so I kinda forgot about her. I rediscovered her recently, but I've been leaning more towards SDs and tinies than MSDs. I don't know that I'll ever get her or find a place for her in my story, but I still think she's gorgeous!

 

The first doll I wanted was DZ Zo. When I was searching for my first doll, that was the one I gravitated to for two months while debating who to get. However, I finally ended up falling in love with DZ Mo-2 instead and I still have him.

 

When I was a kid, like ten years ago, I really really wanted one from Dream of Doll. I thought they were so pretty and I was just dying to get one. I don't believe there was a particular doll I wanted, I just thought all the sculpts were beautiful.

I never got one (no money as a kid lol), and my tastes are different after spending a lot more time looking at different companies and sculpts. So instead I prefer Fairyland and Luts a lot more now c:

 

The first doll I really wanted to buy was Doll-Chateau Cyril. And since 2014 I am proud owner of one. Actually he wasn't the first doll what I bought, neither the second or the third... but at least he is finally at home.
