What was the first doll you wanted to buy?

The first doll I fell in love with was Volks Megu. The first doll I bought was a Ringdoll Rebecca. My tastes have changed so much! I no longer want a Megu tbh. I'm glad I went with the Rebecca as my entry into the hobby.

 

Doll Chateau Arali, I've been looking at her for such a long time, in fact I wanted to enter the hobby after seeing a faceup of her. I honestly really love all doll chateau dolls and it's a dream for me to get one. I still don't have a bjd but I'm getting closer and closer to having enough money to go for one I really want.

 

The first bjd I saw that made me go "I want one of these one day" was probably Souldoll Lily C. She was so freaking cute! Hyacinth has a similar aesthetic, although she's pretty different on the whole, so I don't really have any issues with missing my chance to get Lily C. I still love an awful lot of souldoll sculpts, though.

 

The first doll I ever wanted to buy was a Magic Mirror Studio Keira, and I did..lol she's here now!

 

First doll I wanted was Pipos's Isabel, but the outfits I wanted for her were always out of stock, so I put that on the back burner and decided to wait.

Eventually, I discovered DearMine, but I ignored them at first since their dolls looked a bit too scene for my taste. I only dug in a bit deeper recently and discovered that was just the mohair wigs while they have a whole section of other styles! Long story short, I'll be getting a DearMine Priscilla very soon. I'm just waiting for their next limited event to make sure I don't end up kicking myself for jumping the gun.

Oh, and Isabel is still on my list, but I'll probably need to wait until they come out with a nice fullset for her to get that perfect look. I have high hopes for Halloween.

 

I don't actually have any dolls as of yet (so feel free to discount this ) but I used to adore resinsoul Mei (I think that's a pretty popular first doll, right?) though I'm not sure I'll ever get her now. At the moment I'm in love with Dollzone Benjamin but we'll see

 

The first doll I wanted to buy was a Leekeworld L type Ojallin Sleeping doll because I thought it had an adorable face with half-closed eyes. Unfortunately, the doll was, and still is, out of stock. It's been a year and I still like the head a lot but, I've discovered that I really like large dolls that look like children. I may put myself on the wait list for the head and make a hybrid with a more childlike body, if I can find one that will fit.

 

Mine is Sadol Yena in white! This was before I even knew what the measurements for an SD were, before I really knew about other companies, but her sculpt was so mature, sweet and elegant, with a lovely body and dreamy romantic eyes.
I still like her, really, but after doing more research I'm not sure how I'd feel about her, especially with my requirements for minimising buyer's dissatisfaction. While I'm not as sure about her body being what I like from reference photos, her face in videos was even more gorgeous than I thought she'd be.

If I had her, say from a competition, I'd be very happy and may mod her here and there, but, like many people, I'm not as fixated on her, having found dolls that satisfy my particular aesthetics more, but she really is lovely and I still understand why I liked her so much!

 

At least, a Camine from DoD for incarnate a one of my character and, finally, it will be a M from IoS because his sculpt is more adaptate for my OC.

 

The first doll I wanted was a Crobidoll Nia, when I was at highschool but finally I don't love it so much. I thought to by him to make a couple with another boy...

 

The first doll I wanted was a Minifee Chloe. But I dont like her hight and maybe some day I will get a Feeple60 Chloe!

 

The first doll i wanted to buys was Sezz from IOS, but because my friend told me she was going to get one, i just put him on my to buy list for a while and focus on other dolls *U*

 

The first doll I wanted to buy was Iplehpuse's Mars doll. I fell in love with his handsome face. Everyday I'd go on their website and look to see if he was still available, what clothes they had. I spent a months checking on the page, looking for other websites too.

I waited months until I had the money and ordered him. He was costly, but I don't regret getting him. I'm glad he came with a carry case this way I can bring him with me wherever I go and not worry about him.

 

The first doll I wanted to buy was a Island Doll Shukaku. I don't own one but I would like to one day

 

The first doll I wanted to buy was a DELF Shiwoo from LUTS. He became my one and a half years.

 

The first doll I wanted to get was Volks Tachibana Jun! and this was what... more than 12-13 years ago XD

 

The first dolls I was interested in buying were the Dolkot Leaf and Bera. I didn't end up buying either and am glad now that I didn't. Whilst I still think they're pretty, I hadn't really done my research or figured out my preferred aesthetic at the time. The first doll I have actually bought is the Doll Chateau Evangeline.

 

I was really interested in shelling a character so initially Immortality of Soul Shadow seemed like a good choice. I did buy Shadow, but ended up not using his head for the project and went for something else instead

 

The first doll I remember seriously wanting to buy is Dollzone Annie... And while my tastes have changed a good bit, that was actually the one doll I was still in love with throughout the hobby, and a secondhand Annie on a male body was the firs doll I bought!

 

Gosh I honestly have no idea. A long time ago when I first saw BJDs I never knew about any of the companies or anything, I just saw dolls people owned at conventions and such and thought they were lovely. When I recently was reminded of them though and actually started researching companies, I actually ended up buying one the first ones I *really* wanted, which was a Doll Chateau Snow Nymph. Her face sculpt is just so lovely and I cannot wait to get her! The other one I really wanted from Doll Chateau was the Lillian (the human one, not the unicorn one), and I was actually going to get her before I decided to go with the Snow Nymph instead. I don't think I would buy Lillian though, one $600 Doll Chateau doll is enough for me right now XD Plus after thinking about it after the fact, I decided I liked Snow Nymph's face much more anyway.
