What was the worst accident that ever befell your doll?

When my step-mother was molesting Edgar, she got a lot of nailpolish on him D; She had just gotten her nails did~ So I ask for a magic eraser, and she asks "Why one of those?" and I replied "Because they're doll safe, and it'll get that crap off." and she and her friend were laughing at me like "LOLZ DOLL SAFE!!!1!11!"

I basically hate her.

Well... I almost threw Vestipian's hand across the room when I was working on his hand tattoo.
I DIDN'T! Thankfully but it could have been bad... No, it would have been bad...

I have another tattoo to do on his hand... *le sigh*

 

My old Jeong's S-hooks all snapped off and the body parts snapped against the walls! ALMOST GAVE ME A HARD ATTACK! I restrung her....but I only had her for about 6 months! She's in BJD heaven as with the other old dolls *cringes* buuuuut....I have a new BJD family now!

 

Just after I got her we went shopping together. I set her down on the counter to purchase something and for some reason she decided she could fly and took a leap off the counter top. Her head got disconnected and one of her ears broke off.

 

Would you believe my daughter wanted to go to her girlfriend's house, so I left my Adel on the couch while I took her up the street, and came back to a chewed up hand and lower arm? How could I have been so STUPID??? How could the D@MN DOG be so FREAKING FAST!!! SCREAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok ok ok ok, breathe.....

live and learn ( I KNOW I can't leave things where the dog can get them, so it's really my fault, I just left without thinking)

Nothing worse than Jesst's leg kicking out (thanks to AoDs tight stringing) and him face-smacking the wooden floor. I get jumpy if he ever hits the floor because his pointy ears look really delicate. He's done that several times now, his right leg always kicks out.
Batoxxx's head takes a tumble quite often, but all that has ever done is chipped paint on his faceup - an easy fix for certain.

Oh, and just now, reading through the rest of this board, with Jesst on my lap and looking at Dollmore's site at the same time for an eye for Batoxxx. Messing about with the shipping areas and stuff...and dropped Jesst on the floor after seeing them wanting to charge me $20 to ship one eye. He just fell straight onto the laminate flooring. He's alright thankfully, just gave him a full check over. That sound in addition to that shipping price put me into shock for some time there...

 

I hear you on tight AoD stringing! Sydelle took a couple of pretty nice headers into hardwood flooring because of that. I've found that if you leave them sitting on their knees for a while, it'll loosen them up a bit. She's still prone to kicking or having her top half suddenly shoot over when I'm positioning her legs to stand, but it isn't anywhere near as often or violent as it was.

 

So far it hasn't been to bad here....-crosses fingers- but the other day, actually, just two days before Easter, Deskri had his first accident that nearly gave me a heartattack. D:

He's strung a little tight, but that was only half of the problem...>>;

My brother has a 1 year old puppy, dumbest dog on the planet I swear. >>; (If you can't tell I'm not exactly a dog-lover...) Well, I was walking up the stairs and my brother was litterally RIGHT behind me and she comes running up the stairs to our left and then pushes inbetween us in order to get up the stairs first.

I tripped, Deskri snapped foreward.. e__e At the time I had both him AND Fuyu in my arms, so he nearly fell about 3 1/2 feet to the hardwood floor! D: His kitty had went flying and his hair nearly came off, but he was fine. -sigh of relief-

Earlier today I was hanging Fran's limbs up to coat her in matte and I drop her calf on the cement... It chipped a little itty bit at the bottom but it's okay...

The other calf I sprayed too much matte on and it turned white and splotchy! I had to wash/sand a lot of it off but it still looks a little worn...

 

Asu I think every dog is like that lol. Totally OT but we had to petsit this doll from hell once. Way too hyper. Yikes about dogs chewing BJDs. I kind of want a dog some day but then again >_>. It'll maul my stuff

and once Iliana, my Ryung, fell off the table where she was standing (I was taking pics and VERY VERY STUPIDLY left her standing there) onto the TERRACOTTA SUNROOM FLOOR. **DIES** I had a truly horrible moment when I was afraid to pick her up - elfdoll hands tend to get broken fingers and she was laying ON HER FACE - but truly, luckily, she was okay.

You should post to Elfdoll Q&A; maybe they will sell you some replacement parts.

 

My very antisocial cat decided to mark her territory on a towel (had been used for padding) that was sitting in an open doll box... with my doll inside. >_< That was pretty recent and it's been my only "bad incident" so far. Luckily my boy was given a good washing, a restringing, and a new faceup. Needless to say, his clothes and wig were washed as well. He's as good as new. ^_^

I've had a headcap fly across the room before, with a splitting 'crack' against the wall. Luckily there was no damage, though. It happened when I was trying to force a pair of shoes on to my former MSD girl- they ended up not fitting.

 

What is the worst accident that your doll has ever been in?

Cement. He was on my sD girl's lap and I was bringing them to the car. Fell over from like five feet SPLAT. His headcap came off, his eyes got knocked out, and he brokethree fingers on his right hand. Got a little dirty, too. I spent and hour looking for the fingers, which were so tiny, and one went under someone's car. ;__; But in the end, I glued the fingers back together, it looks totally fine, and he's back to being abused as usual.

My girl's head fell and hit a plastic garbage can AND then face planted onto cement when I was trying to give her an extra coat of MSC after fix her blushing.
It scaratched up her nose and then I had an emergency lesson in modding noses.
But she's all fine now!

 

I had an Elfdoll Ryung slip while standing on a wooden corner table. She landed on her hand and it broke two of her fingers clear off, but fortunately it was nothing that a little dash of super glue couldn't fix.
