What was the worst accident that ever befell your doll?

Zeke fell off my bed once,no injuries though.
My worst disaster was when I lost his foot hooks during a restringing!
Luckily a very nice user on here sent me a free pair,so he's all better now!

One time my bbb elfkin somehow managed to jump out of my hands and onto the floor but he was fine also!

 

when my Shiwoo was still his MSD version.. when his head was gone for a faceup I dropped his body and broke his neckpiece @________@ when his head was on it gave me no problems cause it kept it together.. but now that hes being sold it needs to be fixed

 

I had my Stewie standing on my dad's TV so he could look around and he fall off the TV head frist onto the floor mind ya he was not hurt/broken.

 

Um well it wasn't really terrible...because he wasn't damaged or anything but I know it totally shocked both Kazuo and myself. It actually happened today and he was sitting on my lap. I was joking around with my friend about the bridge that was up ahead of us collapsing and what not and she freaked out and slammed on the breaks making Kazuo go face first right into the floor. Poor boy...he's okay though.

 

Well, I onced almost crushed Ren with my laptop beacuse I didn't look and forget she was on the table........she fell over, but she was alright.

But then!

I found a metal ring that could be resized so I tried to put it on her lower leg and arm.......her arm was okay, but there were two tiny straches which were unoticable, then I tried to whipe them off....which resulted in the stractches becoming more visable.

Luckily you can't see them unless you like....held her foot up and squinted. LOL

Still. D: I was really kind of mad at myself.

 

well,i have Ariel sleep at the end of my bed(in her box with a pillow barricade around it of course and i woke up at 6:30 with pillows half-fallen off by bed,so i jump up to find her head twisted around at the floor of my dresser(idk how she got all the way over there O_o)nothing terrible,but it freaked me out i was so mad at myself

 

i had my boy leaning againts the edge of my bed, and i also had my feet propped up there. when i went to take my feet off the bed i hit him and he did a wicked face plant onto the floor. i stood i shock with my mouth open and the first thing i thought was that i had broken his nose. but he was fine, thank god because it was the first week i had him.

 

Last sunday, I was taking same pics to Oliver to show the B&G Doll boy body posability in the latinoamerican bjd forum. I was tooking the last pic when he fell from the table to the floor. I totally freaked out and paralized for a second and almost had a heartattack, cause I thought his nose was broken , but then I picked him up very quickly and saw that he has his arm in his face like he was "protecting" himself from the fall, so nothing, absolutly nothing happend to him, not even a tiny scratch in his face or body.

I felt such a relief to see him fine and perfect!!

oO well, on my DZ boy we struggle HORRIBLY to get his headcap back on. (MSD with the s-hook holding it on thing... avoid it, make them magnetic) but anyway, Verse and I went to put his headcap back on (yes it takes both of us) after a face-up.

she was holding him and I was struggling to put the s-hook through the headcap, when the s-hook slipped from her hand, and hooked itself onto the back of his head. we heard the loud *SNAP!* paused, then pulled it off. Just a little unnoticeable nick taken out, but it was the scariest sound I'd ever heard. oO

Another time, Verse and I were sanding the boobs off of Loki's body (yes he has a girl body) and we were too lazy and didn'y want to have to restring his arms. so we were using the dremel on his chest, and my hand slipped and took a small chunk out of the back od his arm. >.<

 

Hello, I'm Plug.

I just got my first ABJD awhile ago, and I'm really worried about all sorts of things. I'm always thinking that somehow, he's going to break or his face-up will be smudged. But, I really wanted to know if my new-owner-paranoia is correct or not. So I'd just like to ask:

Have you broken a doll?
and
What did/would you do if your doll was damaged?

 

I've had a doll broken in a small sense... My Husky once did a faceplant onto a hardwood floor, which has actually flattened his nose a bit and gave him a circle of stress fractures all around his nose. .;__; But I haven't done anything about it. It would take major sanding down of his nose to remove them, and I don't want to do that, so for now I'm just living with them. Thankfully the cracks haven't gotten worse. .... Yet. .>_>

Anyway, as to the subjest of broken dolls, I can't add much. Actually, I can't add at all. I only got my boys two days ago and they're just bald/blind/faceless heads.

 

I haven't broken any of mine, yet (which amazes me. >>; ). My Nanuri 07 gave me a scare today, though. His head was on my bed (I was changing eyes) and my dog jumped off the bed, causing the head to bounce off the bed, to the concrete floor (no carpet, rug, nothing soft), and skid across the room. I actually heard him bounce on the ground a couple times. ._. Amazingly, he was just fine. No nicks, scratches, nothing wrong. These guys can be pretty tough. XD
I hope it doesn't happen again, though. I doubt I'd get lucky twice. x__x;

My mom's boy arrived with a broken finger and we just glued that back on. It's not seamless, but it's not too noticeable.

 

Saif has fallen a few times off my desk because I am a moron with a big spinny executive chair (he stands on my desk). So far the worst that ever happened is that there's a light scratch on the underside of his head (he bumped his chin on a box on one fall)... usually he just lands sitting down somehow... O_o

 

I'm petrified my boys fingers are going to break. That, and his face-up will wear. I know it will with time. He's not broken anything yet, though he does have two BLUE smudges on his forehead, and I have no idea how they got there! D:<

 

I saw photos of someone's doll that had been run over by an airplane or a car or something when it was being shipped... that was probably the most horrifying doll break I've ever seen. O_O

 

My Sweet Dream Lucas broke one of his fingers during shipping. Not a very pretty sight when you open the box, but it wasn't too hard to glue it back on his hand. It never fell off again and you can hardly see the fracture.

 

The blue would probably be dye from the wig bleeding onto your dolls head. I see in your sig he has a black wig, thats most likely why.

 

Kudos! I would have at least screamed in her face at first. I would have calmed down eventually, but nothing irritates me more than people not doing as I have told them with my things.

As for me, my girl dolls are never allowed to do anything dangerous so they are intact, but my boy is an intrepid adventurer and has face planted a few times from ambitious poses and sometimes just by falling from a secure pose as soon as I have to go and do something else. It's a cry for attention!
