What was the worst accident that ever befell your doll?

Miri fell off of her horse and lost her eyelashes.

 

Two days after my OD Tae arrived the rubberband holding the hand on snapped off.
I had to call a friend and restring his forearm and hand back on.
Thankfully it wasn't too difficult but it certainly gave me a scare.

 

I just dropped him when I was putting him back on the shelf >.< His bum hit the wood pretty hard

 

I was photographing my doll outside the other day when she fell face first on paving. Well,m I thought it was face first - but when I picked her up, her face was unmarked. We were both a bit shaken though and ended our photo session.
It wasn't till later, when I saw a hole through her two layers of clothes, that I realised which bit of her body had hit the ground first!

 

SOmething to say for being rather well endowed in the chest! I'm glad all those cute freckles weren't damaged!

 

nothing worse than my dolls falling over and their headcaps falling off/eyes falling out, so far.

 

The worst accident so far is me foolishly standing Faye on a narrow ledge for a photo session without any cushioning on the ground in case she fell. The good thing was that when she did, she landed on the side that was higher and not the one with the steeper drop. The bad thing was that she landed on her hand and caused one of her fingers to crack she is now in the dolly hospital being fixed up by kawaiigrl75.

I had my first faceplant today. Xan fell facefirst into a rock. x_x Thankfully most of the damage was done to the MSC on his nose and it chipped the blushing on his eyebrows a bit. Nothing I can't fix. (Though I do like how his eyebrows came out this time. *grumbles*)

Next time I do a faceup, I'm giving them 10 coats of MSC. Seems to be a decent protection against scratches.

 

I actually had an Xbox 360 fall right on top of my Super Gem on the floor from a height, it hit the doll damn hard, so much so that I was really afraid to look because it sounded bad...However when I finally looked...nothing. Thats the worse thing thats ever happened to one of my dolls!
Oddly the only harmful thing thats actually happened to my dolls probably involves face ups being rubbed off a bit by clothes etc.

 

Ah..I have one now..

I took my boy over to a friends house last weekend for a sleep-over. Everything was fine 'till i was about to leave. I asked her to hold him for a minute then her sister asked to hold him. I trust them both since they know how fragile and expensive he is.

Well.. The sister went to turn his head and his face-plate went FLYING off and hit the metal bench they were sitting on (we were outside fyi.) And it chipped his COMPANY face-up off in multible places Im getting a touch-up done in a few weeks.

....Never again

 

Oh well lets see....

Riuske-He fell from the kitchen table and blunted his nose, but it really wasn't too bad it kind of fell at an angle so he actually rounded out his nose making it less pointy. He also got some black stains on his head from his wig but those were removed when he got a new face up.

Milo-He had an accident and lost one of his fingers but I was able to put it back on and hide the crack with a ring.

Folken-No bad accidents yet. *Knocks on wood*

As far as terrible things, I haven't had to deal with anything that I wouldn't handle. but I'm always weary of it.

 

When Aurora first arrived, I placed her on the table to see if she could stand, and she did. I stepped away for a moment, and she ended up falling onto the carpet. She didn't get damaged or anything, but for the first week of being home, Aurora seemed to like falling down.

 

My boy was sitting on the couch next to my desk... and my mom accidentally sat on him ^^;;; One of his pinky fingers snapped off!! My mom was so angry at herself lol. I had extra hands, though, so it was okay~

 

On the day one of my dolls arrived, I unpacked her and set her out on the deck to take pictures of her. Somehow, she fell over and one of her fingers broke off and fell through the boards of the deck landing in the dark, scary area under the deck where spiders live and snakes crawl. I had to get down there and find that finger. Fortunately, I DID find it and glued it back on and you could hardly tell it ever happened!

I was trying to remove wig stains from my boy's head, and I had scrubbed off the MSC. I went to give him a couple fresh coats and sprayed too close, I wound up with a puddle of it on his face. I reached for something to wipe it off, I grabbed newspaper instead of tissue. So there was a good-sized newsprint stain on his forehead until i worked up the courage to clean him off

 

Oh, man, I have plenty of these, ha ha XD

Okay! First, I have an old SD10 boy body I'm nursing slowly back to health from a bad staining accident. I had him balanced on my table, and when I left to get another clean eraser, I came back to find him on the floor, his hand snapped in two. He's all fixed up now though.

Val, my 05 Juri, has had her share of accidents too. Once, I was doing her face up, and she took a nosedive for the cement. Luckily, nothing but a scratch came out of it, and it was sanded out. When she wasn't so lucky, I was carrying her and her head just fell right off her body, and shattered her pretty little elf ear Still trying to find someone to repair it for me.

 

The only worse accident that happened to my doll was him falling down from my dvd shelf to the floor.

I was on my way out of my room to get something when I heard a crash and ran back in to see him lying on the floor, both legs 'dislocated', his wig and head cap came off too... thankfully no scratch on him.

After that incident, I made sure he is standing stably before leaving the room, I dont want another nose dive to happen again -.-'' better be safe than sorry.

 

Well I had Adam fall on me during a funny photoshoot back in late July. Now he fell probably two and half feet at the most which is not a very big spill but it was onto rough concrete. So his list of injuries from that tiny little fall was...

Chipped upper right lip, gouged right side of his nose, two broken fingers on his left hand, scruffed up wrist joint, left forearm, and left upper arm.

I've done my best to fix him, but it just no use really with my skill level. His fingers I did super glue back on and you can barely tell they were broken. His lip you can see real easy in person, not so much in pictures. His nose...there's no real way to fix it and it's hidden by his wig.

I've had many many falls and none of my dolls remain standing if I'm not in the room. All are sitting or are on very stable stands cause I've had them topple over cause the stand got shakey. Sitting is the safest thing by far.

 

Hmm, i think that the worst thats really happened was the sleepover incident, where two girls that i did not even know grabbed my girl, threw her on the ground and ran thankfully the only damage was her face up and a small chip on her cheek. The only other thing i can think of is rien my tiny loosing a leg, lelouch bouncing across the floor, and lelouch being sat on. lelouch, has proved inidistructible. no damage. But poor little rein still needs a new tiny tiny body because his leg never showed up.... it ran away.
