What was the worst accident that ever befell your doll?

Apr 26, 2007

    1. My SD Michael has had the worst scare my dolls. He fell about 3.5 feet and instead of landing on the carpet, he hit my stero speaker cabinet first, bounced off his face and then toppled to the carpet. Not a mark.

    2. Wow, strange I see this thread..Considering not two hours ago I just finished putting my boys new eyes in, I set him on the corner of my dresser next to my drafting table and turned for one minute to reply to someone and BAM I hear him start his descent and I turn quick enough to see his forehead crack with the corner of the table and he falls to the ground. I picked him up quickly..He had a scuff on his cheek and his head was dislocated from his neck, but nothing that a little adjusting didn't fix, and the scuff came off with a magic eraser in no time!
      I was scared though!

    3. ::giggles, wiggling her fingers:: I'm psychic! Jk

    4. My tiny, Itzal likes to dive; he's lept form my arms onto linoleum, concrete, has been eaten by my bed (I didn't notice till I sat down on the bed and heard him tumble down further onto the metal bed frame) a few times and the worst he's ever gotten was a tossed off headcap and his eye dropped back into his head.

When Erebos, my Model doll, falls he does it with a vengeance. I'm always so worried about his face, especially that long nose of his. I keep him seated as often as possible XD

    5. X'D Hahahaha.

    6. My brother threw my old El into tiles in one of his tantrums. I was terrified, considering the size of his nose... but the doll looked better coming out of the fall than he did going into it XD

I've never had a break, and I'm really rough with my dolls. They definitely aren't porcelain.

    7. Thank goodness for resin dolls :)

    8. I've had all of my dolls take great falls and tumbles at various times, yet never a single mark.

Though it still makes my Mother freak out if one falls over. XD

    9. This one really scared me...
I was playing with this girl's LIMITED tiny and decided to place her in my Annabelle's arms. Annabelle at the time didn't like sitting up and would fall back... And she did... and the tiny decided "I can fly!" And hit the ground. What was worse is that she had thse elf ears that stuck out a lot! But nothing broke, yay!

I would have died... I almost did...

    10. My Orientdoll So tiny likes to jump from the lap of anyone holding her. She's flung herself on to the carpeted floor and my rock hard desk without so much as a scratch or chipped ear. She only wants to go again.

    11. ::giggles:: I'm sorry, but that's so funny! I can't imagine how he came out better than before. Except maybe his wig got a sexy tousled look!

    12. A couple months ago, I was at church, and I'd brought Fionn, my Cherish tiny, with me, because I wanted to show him to one of my friends. Well, I was walking down this one little staircase that I've walked down millions of times before, but that particular morning, I slipped, and fell down the stairs, landing on my foot and breaking some of the bones. I was screaming in pain, because I could barely even move, but what I was more concerned with was Fionn, because I'd landed on my bag he was in.

He was in his box, thank goodness, with the blankets, but his box was crushed and I panicked. When I opened the box, though, even more horrified when I realized that it was his head that I'd landed on, I was shocked to discover that there was no damage at all. He looked just fine!

He kept me company the whole time I was in the hospital, too... I wonder what he looked like in the xrays when they started xraying me!

    13. Oh, those poor dolls!!! **cuddles**

    14. So far for me the worst thing that's ever happened to any of my two dolls is that I had the idea of restringing my KD Nara because she wouldn't stand and flopped over. To make a long, and panicky, story short, I am now waiting for new elastic to string her. She's currently unassembled from her torso down.

    15. Oooh boy. I'd had Harumei (my CP Miyu) for 3 weeks, maybe a little more, when I set her up on the back of my couch to take some pictures. I had her kneeling and looking out my window, and she seemed pretty steady. But the instant I reached for my camera, she took a head-first tumble off the back of my couch. I'm pretty sure she hit the window and/or part of the metal on the couch back on the way down too, and I had to move a box full of books, my kimono storage box, and the couch itself to retrieve her. But somehow, she didn't have a scratch on her -- just an eye that got knocked loose and a bit of dust on her wig, both of which were easy to fix.

    16. Yesterday, I left my sister and my boy in the same room while I went out to get something.
When I came back, she accidentally got sharpie on his leg! (Expression: :aeyepop:)

Of course it was an accident and I knew she didn't mean to do it, so I forgave her.

But my poor boy had to have sharpie on his leg for the rest of the night before my dad could go out to buy some magic eraser (I've heard this helps get stains off ABJD's).

Mom and dad joked about it, saying that he was going to have tattoo removal now :|

The sharpie went away luckily and now his legs are squeaky clean!
I also noticed how long his legs actually are.....

That was scary though! Has anything scary happen to your dolls?

    17. Wow! I would have been terrified!! Well, I don't know if this really counts, since nothing actually happened to her, but my girl got knocked off the table she was sitting on when my brother came running through the room, and when I picked her up I saw what looked like a huge crack running down the top of her right arm. I looked closer though, and it was a hair from my dog that got stuck in both her shoulder and elbow joints when she fell.:sweat So nothing actually happened, but goodness the thrill of terror that ran through me!

    18. I was frighteningly sick one week and was sleeping with BE next to me to help me feel better. I woke up to a horrifying CRACK sound and looked to my side. His ring finger was GONE and my cat was standing over him with this guilty look on her face. I was SO scared that she might have swallowed it/chewed it up and would need to be taken to the vet. Luckily she only managed to snap it off before she ran away in shame. I ended up just holding BE and crying for a while. > _ <; He was my first ever doll and I had already gone through a lot of scary drama with being sick for a while so it got me really freaked out.
      Thankfully it was a clean break and a managed to reattach the finger with some super glue. You can barely tell anymore really. Though, if you look close enough you can see his little battle scars. XD;

    19. Sharon did her first horrible faceplant two days ago, into the bottom of a rolling desk chair. I thought she chipped the whole end of her nose off! :o Luckily, it was just bad lighting and she just had a little scratch that was easily buffed away with a bit of dry magic eraser. I'm not going to attempt to make her stand again until I can restring her. D:

    20. I had Liam for a few months when I bought these little glasses for him. They were really cute, so it wasn't until a week or so later that I took them off, and was absolutely horrified to discover that there were black lines all over his nose! I was so scared that I had somehow ruined his faceup!

It all came off with a magic eraser bit, but oh man, was I scared...
