1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What's inside your doll's head?

Aug 14, 2011

    1. Myriantha has a cotton ball with a drop of perfume on it. (I dyed her green, so discoloration isn't really a problem for me.) She just wouldn't be herself is she wasn't poisonously floral!

    2. I should try that. My usual method for getting my dolls to smell good was to spray something on the wig, but a cotton ball in the head seems like a good idea. A little shouldn't be bad.

    3. This is so interesting, I didn't even know it was a thing to put something inside their heads. I might have to rethink this now and maybe put my name and address on a little note inside their heads. You never know.

    4. I suppose it depends on the doll. Many of mine have magnets for their horns, and my Soom Idealians have resin brains as it holds their string instead of an s-hook. Other than the standard that came with the dolls, I don't put anything else inside their heads :)

    5. During my younger days I was very superstitious and worried that a spirit might take over the body of my dolls -_- so I placed a piece of jade in each of their heads. It was supposed to ward off bad things. Now I leave the head empty other than the eyes.

    6. This is the single most brilliant idea I have ever heard of. I am doing this immediately. (I know this is an old post, but... welp.)
So in about 5 minutes, that's what is going to be in my dolls' heads.

    7. Thanks! :D It's partly in the event I need to prove the doll is mine. Mostly it's how I "bond" with them; it's a bit like Andy writing his name on the foot of Buzz and Woody. :)
