whats your ideal number of dolls

I don't know... 3..? Or 5? I will have only 2 if I will get my dc girl, but I just thinking about a third doll... I like to have a little brother for my boy...

 

Is there an ideal number of dolls? I must have missed the memo.

For me personally I try not to put a number on it. Once I feel stressed out or feel like I'm neglecting the collection then it is time for me to take a step back and review.

I also keep note of why the collection expanded and who gets cut as to find patterns and avoid hitting my personal limit too often.

 

Definitely 10 dolls maximum, but right now I only want three more so my current ideal is 4. I don't like clutter and any more than 10 would feel messy to me.

 

I want to say 20 but even that number seems daunting. But who knows, if I ever get to 20, I could look back at this and laugh as I proceed to buy more. But gosh, I sure hope not. That seems like a lot of space.

 

I’m already at 39, so I might as well say my ideal number is 40...and I certainly hope I run out of ideas for characters soon or my house is going to explode!

 

I keep saying around 10 dolls.

But, if I 'shrink' most of them to FID or similar, I might bump it up to 12.

 

Now I have 6, and my ideal number should be around 15.

 

It would be nice to have a large collection of 40 or so, but at the same time, I'd rather have a few dolls that I can spoil with clothes and accessories.

 

Honestly two would probably be my ideal number. I have seven currently. I've never sold a doll so I probably won't ever just have two.

 

Oh I would love to see photos. I love seeing peoples huge collections of dolls.

 

I used to think that it'd be just my Crobidoll Lance, and there was no way I would ever get anything else, but..... low and behold! I'm at 4 now. (Which, granted, isn't the growth I've with others but considering my budget, not too shabby.)

I don't think I'd ever want a ton of dolls? Like, I'm gonna say... never any more than 10. I like being able to have a bunch of different outfits for my dolls, and after a certain point, I think it'd get too pricey for me. I would almost need to have a room JUST for dolls, and that's not something I can see myself affording in the near future.

 

My ideal is 30! But I don't know if I can ever get to that number. I hope I achieve 30 finished dolls someday.

 

I don't have a number in mind yet... well, I thought it would be one, at least for a bit. But here I am, two boys on the way. I know I'd like an SD or up girl, and probably at least one MSD and YoSD. I've never done will with too many dolls though. I hit 3 and usually, someone is out the door. I'm also a minimalist, I don't like owning much, or clutter. Although I find if I have it organized and where I can pack it away/clean easily, I can handle more. It's been some years though, we shall see how it turns out.

 

My apartment is tiny so I have no idea haha!! I honestly thought I'd only get one or two when I started, the plan was just to use up scrap from commissions with them... Buuuuuut now I'm two years in the hobby and have 4! Technically 5, but the fifth is a project doll that's still unstrung because I was scrubbing off the MSC and got too worn out to finish. (I have fibro, I get tired easily.)

 

The limit does not exist for me.

My happy place currently is however many dolls will fit in my space for them, without me having to put any of them in drawers.

Not to that point yet, so I’m good, but hopefully moving in with my fiancé at some point in the next year, and my space for dolls will grow bigger then, so we’ll see...

 

I think I'm around the 100 mark by now, and that is WAY too many. Sadly--I'm probably not going to downsize any time soon, and can't seem to stop buying...

I don't think I have an ideal number of dolls. I'll collect as many as I can afford and I will enjoy for as long as I want to.
I waited a long time to be able to buy things that I wanted rather than needed, (I spent all spare cash on my children when they were growing up, children are expensive), even now I mainly spend birthday and Christmas money on dolls. So if there's nothing else I want or need to spend my birthday/Christmas money on I may well choose to buy another doll to add to my growing collection and who knows how many I'll end up with. I already have 17 bjd's, some off topic tiny dolls, plus I collect some other types of dolls and dragons too. I think I have problem!

 

I thought 10 would be perfect, but I have nearly 30. I really need to stop buying dolls and enjoy the ones I have, but they keep releasing dolls I need to have. I don't feel like restricting myself but I have slowed down my buying.

 

My ideal numbers should be 20 but i couldnt control myself so now i have 40! But since they are all yosd size so still ok for me.

 

I need 21. My dolls are part of a school and I have room for three classes of six and three teachers. So far I have twelve with four on the way, so I will need five more. Finding the right dolls to join the school has been an enjoyable process. I used to be a math teacher.
