1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

When did you give your doll a new faceup and why?

Dec 9, 2015

    1. there were several reasons and all they worked at same time. First of all, make up was damaged, but I did nothing and a year passed, then I bought another body and old make up didn't match new body skintone, so I decided to change it finally

    2. I like to redo my dolls' face up when I don't like them anymore or more simply when they're damaged^^

    3. I tend to redo them regularly because my skill increases then the old ones just seem bad in comparison... unless I really love a certain faceup in which case I just prefer leaving it as it is until it's really old and faded or damaged.

    4. I have a mighty need to give most of my dolls new faceups, either from a faceup service, or attempt it on my own. They mostly have company face-ups right now, as a place-holder while I muster up courage to try making my vision for them come true. Basically, they all need new face-ups to suit the character I've given them. Unless I choose a faceup service these plans will have to wait untill summer, -16 degrees celsius is hardly MSC weather, or work outdoors weather >. >''

    5. I've only had face-up's redone a few times. Once was because I damaged it removing eyelashes. The other time was because I wanted one tiny element changed; (non-glossy lips) but wanted everything else to remain the same. The other was because the factory face up was awful. Most of my core dolls have settled into their "looks" so it would be very hard to send them off to be re-painted unless they were damaged somehow.

    6. I do new face ups if the current one is damaged or if I just want something diffrent for them. Sometimes I out grow the look of the face up or feel it could be better.
