1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

When you just can’t stop...

Nov 7, 2020

    1. I began to make a photo list, when I see it, it is helping (a little) to stop me.

    2. I finally took my own advice and actually made a proper list with all my dolls (and my two floating heads).
When counting the dolls I bought in 2021 I missed a few because I thought I got them in December 20 instead of January 21. So yeah I definitely got more than one doll per month on average *_*. But I regret none of them.

Even the one I didn't love when I got her (MDF Ani in rosy brown) has really grown on me now. Working on her outfit and spending time with her made me fall for her :).

But even though I managed not to buy any in June I kicked July off with a bang. So yeah let's see if I manage to buy less dolls for the rest of the year. But that list is definitely helping me stay grounded.

On the other side I am coming to terms with the fact that I just am a hoarder and collector. Be it dolls or something else like tabletop miniatures. Beating myself up for something that brings me joy isn't healthy either. And at least I earn enough to be able to afford this kind of spending.

    3. I ordered my first doll in February, then one in March, April, May….about one a month, I skipped June but made up for it in July. I do need to stop because we are starting renovations on our house hopefully in August or September. It’s so hard though when I see a good deal or new doll and I get FOMO (fear of missing out.) I thought I would be into yosd size more but I have been finding it difficult to find the style of clothes I want for my two girls so I have found I’m more interested in the 1/8 size. I have two Lati Yellow and three other of that size by different companies on the way.
