Where do you dolly roleplay?

Omg that's such an awesome idea!! We can totally do that.

 

So I apologize if this is kind of a noob question.. but would anyone be able to explain to me the gist of roleplaying with our dolls? I know generally how like... role playing table games work ... but I am wondering if role-playing with our dolls is even anything like that? Or if I just am totally off-mark?

I always see the little bubble in our doll profiles that says "available for offsite role-play" and I pick that because I'd be interested in learning what its about - so I'd love to know what the general idea is of it, especially if you all might set up an avenue to do it!

 

I wonder if it might be just as simple as using a doll's photo instead of a celebrity face claim or a drawing?
I do mostly text based RP (mostly found through dA groups, one of the only things keeping that site alive right now lol) but since I also draw all my character profiles are drawn. So I can see how using your doll's photos would be the same.
... but then most of my dolls are shells of these characters as well so
I think it'd be fun to try out!

 

I think it's text based roleplays where you write starring the dolls as characters.

I'd be interested in a discord server for it! I've made a few servers in the past, some for RP and others for general creative stuff, so I could help set one up.

 

I would also be interested in trying out dolly rp.

I only have very limited experience with text based rp. But I've run character focused D&D campaigns for about five years. So I am not entirely new to rp.

 

I'd be interesting in checking out a Discord server for doll-related RP. Not 100% sure it's something I'd participate in or not, but I'd enjoy watching and having more people to talk to.

 

Should I create a server? XD

I am a total noob when it comes to Discord otherwise I'd help create the server.

Oh could there be problems because of time differences? Maybe paragraph style will work better then.

Link! It's not complete yet i guess. But good enough. Time difference isn't an issue for "private roleplays" with small groups, only with the one huge open for all general one. I prefer third person paragraph style roleplays anyway.

I used Gaia for years, then moved to a roleplay forum site, then to google docs and discord. I haven't had a chance to do any rp in a while and am hoping to get back into it through my dolls.

 

I haven't done dolly roleplay... but I've gone the other direction and shelled a roleplay character as a doll. It's really interesting to see people's answers!
