1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Nov 1, 2004

    1. Keep 'em, packing peanuts/boxes/bubblewrap too, I stack all of it safely in the closet in our laundry room, all our packing materials go in there. :XD: We have TONS of boxes and bags from random things years ago.

    2. I keep the boxes -- with all their bubble wrap & blankets & face protectors etc etc -- in their shipping boxes in the shed.

... I'm not saying they're in there particularly neatly or that I could find them with ease or anything, but they're definitely all still here and still complete!

I've only sold two dolls - but I have to say it was great to be able to ship them (with ease) just as they came to me. :)

    3. this is a great question because i have no idea. this box is huge because my girl is too, and i have no where to put it. so i stood it up next to my vanity, like the furniture XD.

yea i have no idea at this point

    4. Ahh...well, so far I have two DoC's, and those guys come shipped not in boxes but carrying bags, so those I keep on my rather empty shelf of my closet for easy usage if I ever want to take them out. :) Otherwise, the huge box they actually come shipped in, I just collapse them and recycle x3 If I get a doll that has a pretty box or whatnot, I'll probably keep it in my closet as well to perhaps store my doll in ( I'm so ultra paranoid about my planned white resin doll going yellow @.@ ), or just because I'm a storage addict and one can never have too many boxes xD

    5. The big brown cardboard box that the pretty box came in is holding up Loric's Christmas stuff, like the tree and stuff. The pretty box is right next to it and it's Loric's bed. ^^ Very pretty, very pretty.

    6. I've kept all the boxes my dolls arrive in. They're either in my walk-in wardrobe or under my bed. I'm running out of space, but haven't had the need to find an alternative storage solution as yet.

Two of my boys didn't come with their original boxes (as I got them 2nd hand), but I wasn't too fussed as they were just on Luts bodies. I am a bit more particular with my new boy though; I've got a Williams on his way home, and myabe cos he's limited, I wanted to get him in his original box should I decide to rehome. (Unthinkable at this stage, but I like to cover all bases.)

    7. Mine are at home in the rafters of the garage. :)

    8. I keep them. I think that they have sentimental value.
Mine's on the top shelf of my closet.

    9. Thanks everyone for all your answers! Perhaps I will keep them then for a while longer! Only we had a storage shed built about a year ago and I've very rapidly filled it up with all my junk including these empty boxes!
I think I'll definitely be keeping my limited dolls' boxes, but still not sure on the others.
My husband says "Don't buy anymore dolls and you'll not have a problem with boxes"...yeah right!

    10. bed/storage. most of the time moth sits on a self looking at me, but if i'm doing a major cleaning i'll put her in to make sure the dust doesn't attack her

    11. The box was almost as beautiful as the doll! I think I'll use it as a bed - add some legs, posters, a tester/canopy. Why waste something that pretty?! And it fits!

    12. As a collector of tiny dolls, I keep ALL my boxes. They are small, and I store smaller boxes inside larger boxes so they take up less room. They are all in a plastic storage bag in the top shelf of my closet. Nobody sees them!!

    13. I keep all of the official boxes whenever possible. If I ever resold one of my dolls, I would want to be able to include the box, as people seem to prefer it. (Not that I'm planning on it, but tastes change and one never knows.) Also, whenever I move again, their boxes would be the best and easiest way to transport them.

This may change when I run out of room under my bed, though. :sweat

    14. I also keep my boxes. I keep them in a storage shed behind the house. It seems the more dolls I collect the bigger the box stack gets!

    15. I've kept my Little Leroi's claustrophobic box. I can't bring myself to throw stuff like that away. He used to sleep in it, but once I got his bed, the box got safely tucked away at the top of my closet... so my parents wouldn't get tempted to 'tidy up' and recycle it.
I imagine someday I'll have quite the collection.

    16. I use one of mine as a bed and the other I have in it's shipping box under my bed^^ I can't get rid of any of the things that came with/for my dolls. For me it's always good to keep the boxes. You never know when they'll come in handy ~.^

    17. I kept Rel in her box when I went on a road trip while I was in the car. Just for safe-keeping. I didn't want my dog to chew her up D:

    18. I keep them stored. I never plan on dolls leaving but you never know.

And when we moved house recently I was very glad that I had boxes to be able to repack all my dolls safely.

    19. I keep them in my room, maybe it'd be useful if im moving away.

    20. i keep all the boxes in my closet.. and use them to store the dollie clothes and stuff in them...
