1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Nov 1, 2004

    1. I have cats, so when I'm not with my dolls I put them in their boxes and use them as beds.I always fear my cats would chew on them if I left them out.

    2. I have kept the two doll boxes to use them as storage for clothing and shoes. One of the brown cardboard shipping boxes has become a sewing/embroidery accessories box and the second box will be recycled.

    3. The box...I really did consider throwing it away....
Space is very limited in cities....
but the boxes end up in my closet.....due to nostalgia I guess [Gosh..towards a box...]
No matter what..I think that box is somewhat meaningful
Thoes boxes are now stuffed with bubble plastic and other smaller ems boxes

    4. I use boxes for extra wigs and clothes, and dolls who are not out. No one is left
out in open air when I am out, they are either in the glass cabinet or in their box.
(One of my cats is clumsy, another is a wig killer)

    5. I keep my large box for my doll to lay in when i'm not using him or playing with him. I have a lot of cats and such and dust in my room so i'm afraid of dust getting to him and afraid of cats thinking he's a chew toy or litter box :(. It's always nice to hang on to such things just in case. <3.

    6. : D;; I keep 'em... Mostly because when I got Fuu and Deskri we were working on moving and I wanted something to put them in. I keep my dolls out all the time... I realize that probably isn't good for yellowing, but I love to see them out. XD;

      : D; And it's a good thing I kept 'em, we're moving after all. >w<

    7. I kept mine, for pretty much the same reasons as everyone else. To store stuff or to hold the doll if I move. But I'm also a horrible pack rat, and it *is* a pretty nice box, I couldn't throw THAT away :)

    8. please delete post

    9. At the moment they are stashed under my bed. But we've run out of space between my hubbys hobbies and mine, so they are going to have to go to the storage locker we rent.

    10. I keep mine. I figure I'll use it for her when I move. That and I've always been funny about keeping the boxes for things I've spent a lot of money on. I'm not sure why.

    11. I've kept mine and use it as my doll's bed. I store some of his clothing in a small box that fits inside of the bigger one, and my doll sleeps on top of one of the pillows that came with him. xD; Anyway, I really need to find him a real bed, which I will do... someday soonish.

    12. I have one box standing up in my room with a few paints and my obitsu 60's magnetic base plate, my other doll boxes are sitting in the spare room because they both smelt strongly of molten resin and I didn't want that smell lingering

    13. my only comes with the EMS box, which my dad made me dump it away

    14. I have my boxes standing up in the living room....and I've stored the shipping boxes for my more recent doll purchases in some of my closets.

    15. I have recycled all of their shipping boxes and store their manufacturer boxes under my bed, I use them for keeping their extra clothes, wigs, shoes etc...

    16. I recycle the EMS box. Then I use the doll box as their closet... for now anyway!

    17. Alice's box (& pillow) is now her bed/storage for clothes. Neither of my boys came with boxes (Sho I picked up in person, and Alexis only came in a shipping box with a pillow/bag), but their pillows double as bedrolls. I recycled the shipping boxes.

    18. Currenty I don't do much with them. They are just under my bed.
But when I have more items for my dolls,
or any other items that I want to store,
I will use their boxes. And I don't throw them away, because in a couple of years I will be moving out of house, so I will use the boxes to keep them save when moving.

    19. If your collection is heavy on the 60+cm male dolls, and one day you find your collection clearing the baker's-dozen mark... and you live in a one-bedroom apartment... :sweat You have to get creative with your closet-space! Luckily I had recently done a clothing purge, and my apartment's in an old building with old-fashioned walk-in closets. One closet for my boots, one closet for my fancy overcoats, and one closet for my doll-boxes. :whee: There are clothes in there somewhere, really, I do have clothes.

I kept most of the SD13-sized shippers, wherever it was practical to stack 'em all together. Because they didn't really take up much more space than the boxes themselves. The really giant shippers had to get pitched, though. A 67cm Mano comes in a box big enough to smuggle an Oompa-Loompa... I have an 81cm Mecha Angel on order (with carrying-bag!), and I shudder to think how big HIS shipper will be. I expect he will be held at Customs while they try to frame me for operating a prostitution-ring.

Soon I'm going to have to start flattening all the boxes, though! Even the pretty interior boxes. I hear you can tape em back together again later, if you need them. Seems a shame to split them along the seams, but it's still better than throwing them away. For shippers, you can always go to Mailboxes Etc. or someplace like that & they'll make em for you. (Or build your own, if you're clever with a staple-gun. :aheartbea Mm, staple gun.)

    20. I kept them D: I'm kinda a packrat... I keep a lot of boxes for no reason.. Plus the memories of getting laika, I can't get myself to get rid of it!
