1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Nov 1, 2004

    1. All of my doll boxes have their own special shelf in my closet, stacked with the largest on bottom and smallest on top.

    2. I have one closet that's devoted to boxes, some are under beds & lately they've been relegated to the basement which is less than ideal as it's musty there. But this is a very small house & only has one big closet. I'd love to just be able to pitch them all but people really seem to place value on them.

    3. Mine are currently under my bed. I would throw them away, but there's always a chance I might sell them so I keep them just in case.

    4. I only have one, and it's currently on top of a small computer desk I stopped using when I got a laptop. I have yet to find a good place for it (and my doll that I'm still keeping in it).

    5. I keep all of my boxes (including the shipping boxes.) They have a place in my closet and the storage area

    6. I throw mine out, the only one that I have my Shwioo's and that's because he was my first.

    7. I put mine on a big shelf on my bookcase, but I just do that 'cause otherwise my dogs will eat them. :[

    8. I them guard in the high place of the cupboard, but come the moment not that hare with them because already almost they do not fit me mas

    9. 2 are currently under my bed and one of my dolls sits in the other one lol also keep some clothes and bits in that box.

    10. In the basement storage area where all the other bodies boxes go.

    11. LOL! This was even a scarier statement in email because the email notification comes through without the "strike" code on it!

My boxes are scattered. Some still serve as non-active dolls' storage, some as open-top beds. Empty boxes go vertical in the spare closet, others are horizontal on whatever desktop or tabletop accidentally stays clear for long enough...or on top of the totebins full of the craft supplies and yarns for the projects I still have to do. Some day....

    12. Right now, Aine's box is in my room where she "sleeps" when i will be away for a while.
Otherwise, it sits downstairs in the basement. Works well. :D

    13. I only have one box at the moment.. But I keep it at the foot of my bed. XD
I don't keep my doll out all day and night. And when she isn't up and about I just leave her in her box to "rest".. That's what I say so I don't feel bad... Lol.
But sometimes you just don't have time to keep them out. So I just leave her with her comfy pillow in the box out of harms way while I'm away or busy doing stuff! And it's right at the foot of my bed, so I get pull her out whenever I want! 8D

    14. I have just one box (and that from an MSD), so keeping it isn't that much of a problem. Most of the time it's on the floor between the chair and a shelf where most of my hobby things are kept (and where it's cozy and no sun comes, no matter how bright it is). Sometimes my doll sleeps in it - when she's not on the computer table.

    15. Seeing as my dolls are relatively small at 43 cm and 33 cm, there's enough room under my second desk for both of their boxes. It keeps them out of the sunlight as well.

    16. In my drawers/closets Only place my cat cant open. He doesn't like anything out of place or on the floor. He'll pee on it. Has obsessive compulsive disorder.

    17. I don't have boxes for all mine, and one came with a carrier instead of a box (yay Dolkot!), so the 2 boxes I have are in the top of my closet. The cushions from them are in my carriers, so they're just up there empty.

    18. I don't keep them. Or rather, mostly I don't. One is for doll clothes, second - for doll shoes, third - for spare wigs. When we'll construct "proper" doll wardrobe, I'll throw first two boxes away too. We live in not-so-big apartment, so have no place to keep empty boxes. Anyways... I don't see the point to keep them.

    19. I kept the pillows that came in the boxes my dolls arrived in, but I trashed the boxes themselves. I have no need for cardboard, not when my husband has a love of fancy chests and things. My four dolls sit inside a small chest (bought at target) with the lid open and all their pillows inside it, in a sort of group photo. The chest, and their armoire, currently sits on top of our Akita's kennel, cause I haven't found a good spot for it.

    20. Both my boxes are kept on the floor in the corner of my room below my window. The boxes themselves are then used to store all their stuff (clothes, shoes, wigs etc.). So even though they do take up a fair amount of space, they do have a use.
