1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Nov 1, 2004

    1. The box of my Diogenes, from B&G came damaged, so i only cutted the logo of the shop and recycled the rest.

Hephaestos' body came in a carrier (like it was a split of a doll from Iplehouse, the owner of the head kept the carrier... u.u), so i don't have the original box...

What i do have is the box of Luts where my Andrei came, it's secondhand, but the girl who sell him to me send the box too ^3^ I like it because it's beautiful, i like the color xD I sometimes use it to keep things there... but it's a problem having it around xD it's so big xDD

    2. I only have 4 boxes... One of the boxes are very big and I use it to keep another box xDDD. I have the boxes full with objects for the dolls in the closet... I think that I can keep 3 boxes more...

    3. I used to have 7 dolls at one time, and while that's quite a few less boxes than you have, it still got a little out of hand. Like some people recommend, draping fabric over them makes an interesting prop or background for photo shoots. They can always be used as makeshift couches by tinies and minis, too.

    4. Even though I never intended to sell the dolls I bought, I was always happy when I finally did and had stored the boxes on shelves in the basement. My Sooah box is still down there, though my Narae box is upstairs, storing my Narae's clothes (doll clothing bin is full!).

They may be heavy, but I know the dolls arrived safely in them, and feel better shipping them out the same way.

I actually even still have a BBB box from when a buyer requested that I fold her up and ship her in a smaller box. I can't bear to part with it. Guess I'll move the Narae's things into that so they have more room!

    5. My best friend and her two sisters have over 60 BJDs all together *_* She's had me come over and do faceups for most of them lol. I actually asked her once what they did with all of the boxes, she said "Follow me" She took me downstairs into the back room and on a gigantic shelf with moisture guard plastic sheets over it there were all of the doll boxes ranging from the large soom boxes to the smaller pipos ones and i think I even saw a little puki puki box in there. So that's what they do with them apparently XD

    6. My dolls do have a shelf to sit on but I still keep all their boxes. One of my puki's boxes though is the only one I can physically get to, it has his spare magnets and his steel plate inside it. The rest are in my dad's loft space just in case I have need of them (my dad does call me a box hoarder, just because of nine doll boxes, mrr). My doll's clothes are stored in a different box, but I want somewhere else to put them. Not much space though

    7. I keep all shipping boxes and all doll boxes. Not all of my dolls are out all the time. So they go back to their sleeping box when they are resting.

I keep all the shipping boxes so just in case one day I need to re-home them I have the box proper enough to ship them.

    8. I store them where I have the room. Right now, this is mainly under my bed, but I have one or two in random closets as well. I might finally get rid of a few of them, though. I don't have a ton of space.

    9. Pack rats unite!

    10. Rright now it's containing some scraps of fabric I'm using to make Shinta a costume. It's about half done. He still needs wristbracers, cloak, a swordholder and maybe I'm making arrows too so he needs a quiver. Could be a great idea to keep his LARP stuff in there :).

    11. I keep my dolls out and their boxes are stored in their original shipping boxes. I keep them because I consider them part of the doll.

    12. I also keep the boxes 8U How could I throw away a gorgeous golden dollmore box >w< <3333. I have a small room, so luckily atm i only have one. However, it's good in case i need to bring Judas for a long trip with me, or to put his things in. as well as storing his pillows >w<.

    13. Oh, I keep them all just in case. They were useful when I moved so they wouldn't get damaged in transporting. Currently, I store them in large shipping boxes and they are in my garage where they won't get wet or damaged. I do try to put smaller boxes in the larger boxes in general storage and I keep a few of the cushions in my doll room to help pad my doll carrier as I need to.

    14. Living in a very remote part of the world, we always save the original box for any major purchase, in case it needs to be returned/sent out for repairs, etc; believe it or not, we have an entire room that stores these things, along with (somewhat related, imho) suitcases and pet carriers.

:| it is, however, past-overdue for a culling: we have the original boxes for computers we don't even own anymore

I like the idea of using doll boxes to store fabric, though! I think the big boxes that my Lati came in would work really well to keep 'fat quarters' organized!

    15. I have no space to keep them, so I've tossed all the big ones out except for a huge wooden Dollshe box. I stood it on end in my guest room, draped a dark tablecloth over it, and sat a large stuffed rabbit on it. I kept several of the smallest ones and keep little odds and ends in them.

    16. Mine are all on the top shelf of my closet. One day I hope to move out and have a box for everyone. Even those without a box now have one, due to me making them boxes out of showboxes, since they are small dolls.

    17. i throw them out or use them when cleaning as a place to put trash. if course i keep really nice ones to put christmas presents in and such, but i don't really ever keep them.

    18. Right now I have three boxes standing against the wall at the end of my bed. Two are in prime condition, one's falling apart. I'll probably never toss the DOD and Soom boxes. I'll use them to store and transport all of my dolls' clothing and extra parts when I head off to college. If I have more than will fit in my carriers, the dolls themselves will go in the boxes. The Soom box alone could very well fit my entire collection, it's absolutely massive! Other boxes, like my DIM box and any future boxes that aren't limited or sturdy enough will be recycled. If the logo is pretty I'll cut it out and keep that, and recycle the rest.

Still have the shipping boxes from most of them too. Need to get rid of the shippers, they take up way more space that I actually need. Those can get recycled, but I keep all the packaging in a smaller box for future shipments.

    19. I keep the boxes under my bed. Honestly their nice when I need to move them long distances since the boxes are the perfect size. plus you can store things in them.

    20. One of them is on the top shelf of my closet, the other is underneath my bed (this one is a lot heavier so I can't just throw it on top of the precariously perched stuff on the shelf xDD). Not sure what I'll do with any future doll boxes... :?
