1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Nov 1, 2004

    1. I don't have any BJD boxes yet, but I have over ten boxes from other dolls, and all of those just sit in the attic...

    2. I keep them. They are too nice to just discard. I use them when I need to pack the dolls away for whatever reason. ^^

    3. I keep them all but I fold them up to save some storage place!!

    4. I kept every single one... until I moved, and lost storage space, and was forced to compact everything I owned into one tiny shoebox sized room. And I threw them all out.

      ...then less than two months later, I moved into a huge place where I totally could have fit all of them, and I feel stupid. But I'll save the new ones!

    5. I keep them so that when we move they can travel in their own boxes.

    6. *stares at the abyss which is her room* well for me i think the box is around here somewhere lol. i usually keep photos or something else in it ^^;; the cushion is being used for a bedset for my dolls

    7. Lol...I believe I still have mines in my closet o.O I meant to throw it out, but I forget ^_^;

    8. One half of the box, is a bed for my doll and then the other half is storage for his clothes. lol
      But even if I did get him an actual bed, and an actual closet, I'd still keep the box, just for--erm...memories? lol :)

    9. I have kept all four of my doll boxes. I have plenty of room in my closet for them and I don't keep all my dolls out at once. Sometimes they go back in their boxes for a while.

    10. I use my box as my doll's bed so I wouldn't throw it away, I'm kind of a pack rat.

    11. I keep all my dolls' boxes since I also feel they are too nice to simply be thrown away. So I just use the boxes as portable closets for each of my dolls. This way I can keep track of who's clothes is who's too ^^.

    12. i have 7 boxes ^^ i use them as shelves to hold up my real people sized wigs haha it's better to keep the boxes just incase somewhere down the road you wanna sell your doll~ i know i don't like buying dolls without their originally box ^^;

    13. Regardless of boxes, cards, instructions, etc - I keep them all. This applies to all my other collections besides dolls, such as 1/6 figures, statues, polystone busts. A doll with her original box commands a higher value than one without her box.

    14. I still keep dolls in them. I'm not a person to display them, nor my bf is fond of that.
      I don't have to worry about sunlight affecting them more than necessary, nor about dusting them, nor about my cat wanting to get too private with them.
      Spare boxes I use for clothes and accessories.

    15. Since I only have one, I don't have a problem keeping it ^^ I use it to store my boy's clothing...

      I've always been the type that saves boxes though XD

    16. I only have two so far, but I will probably keep them always. They are too nice and helpful for storage.
      One box takes the job of holding the electricitythings for my aquarium in place and the other is my Doll-stuff-collection box XD

    17. I keep the boxes down in my basement for now. However soon I will be moving them up into my newly made sewing room/office for meeeeee. I use them to store all sorts of dolly stuff so its kinda nice to be able to not have to go to the basement every time I have to get something...

    18. I've kept all of my boxes so far, but I've reached the point where I order any larger dolls (aka SD and MSD) I'm gonna have issues. I would have no issues tossing my DZ boxes as those haven't changed, but my SwD Myu, Hinaichigo, YoSD Nono boxes would be ones I keep for sure. All three of them were limited dolls and their boxes are very nice. I keep all of the boxes now for lugging the dolls to conventions and when I moved. I prefer to move my dolls in their boxes for conventions as a way to protect them a lot better than a soft carrying bag can.

      And since it just "dollfie boxes" in general, I still have all of the boxes my dollheart outfits came in (at least the ones I bought directly from Dollheart). Yeah some don't see the point, but I can keep the entire outfit in one spot and know all of the pieces are there.

    19. I've kept all my doll boxes and I use them to store all their clothes/wigs/shoes in. I do have a fairly large room so space isn't much of a problem but I know if I had more some would have to go in the closet.

    20. My one big doll's box is kept downstairs. The rest are tiny boxes, so they're up in my closet. I'm sure any future big boxes I get will continue to be stored downstairs (I wish I could put them under my bed to use as doll-item storage but thats the home of my instruments), and any future small boxes will be put in the closet, too.
