1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Nov 1, 2004

    1. I keep my dolls in them. XD I've never let them out of their box for more than a few hours at a time. There's just too much dust in the apartment. D:

    2. I just store them in the basement. When I travel for a longer period of time, I pack away my dolls into them (I do this less as they have a nice glass cabinet that prevents dust, and I feel they are safely tucked away in there).

    3. Eventually, when my boy gets here, I'll be using it as a bed for him until a better alternative is found.

    4. I keep the boxes.
For some time cats occupied them, but then they found new, more interesting boxes, so I keep doll boxes just in case - maybe wie will relocate again or something like that. Also I just cant throw those boxes to the trash.

    5. I collect the boxes on top of my cupboard XD.
When I move, they will become VERY handy ^^.

Well, I have the feeling I could never throw them away anyway.
Sometimes I store BJD items in the boxes or simple bubble wrap.

    6. I always keep the boxes I like :)
      Just can't throw them away

    7. I keep the boxes in storage. I don't like keeping things in them--they're such an odd size (being doll-shaped, vaguely) that they don't keep neatly anywhere in my house. It's tedious to be pulling them out and putting them back, since there isn't a really good place for them. At the same time, it's the best place to repack the doll should that be necessary, so I keep them.

    8. Haha, I'm a pack rat, so when Kalix arrived, I threw NOTHING away, maybe because he's my first and therefore I'm somewhat sentimental about that, but yeah, even the packing peanuts and everything are still in the (huge) box in a corner of my room. I'll find a use for it at some point, maybe for loose fabrics that I'll use for his clothing or something :) And then, I'd never dream of throwing away the DoD box, or any company box (they're all way too pretty xD)

    9. Mine all sit in the closet. I move too much, and there's always a chance of me selling a doll, so throwing them out isn't an option in the least.

    10. It sits in my closet until needed for soemthing like transporting a doll or for storing clothes.

    11. I keep the boxes in my closet at home. Good at keeping them out of the sunlight or for transportation purposes.

    12. I keep them, stored in the attic. They are useful if I sell a doll, or if I move house again. I also regularly use the padding to pad suitcases to go to meets (I can fit 10 SD in one suitcase if I am careful and they are feeling friendly)

    13. I've done the same with Mike's box, and shipper. It's in the back of the closet with the doll boxes in front.

    14. I keep my box and put my doll's clothes in it. I would NEVER throw it away.

    15. i have both boxes. all the papers and bubble wrap, too. :3

    16. Iplehouse dolls comes in these bags that look like body bags lol. The bigger card board box that the bag comes in i just recycle.

    17. I keep mine. Because I'm really paranoid about yellowing, and because they spend a fair amount of time with my parents (in a smoking household) - I store my dolls in them. If I don't have them out for photoshoots, they're in their boxes.

As far as storing clothes go, I do keep the boxes they shipped in for that purpose. :)

    18. I keep the nice boxes and pitch the shipping boxes in the recycling. My dolls don't see the light of day much, 'cuz my darling 4 y.o. daughter is still learning about boundaries. Let's face it, these dolls are waaay cooler than the average Betsy Wetsy. I've made other arrangements for storing all their accoutrements and fabric stash.

    19. I keep the boxes as storage for accessories, seeing as I am in a smoke and pet free home I don't have much to worry about and we hardly opened out curtains and even if we do, my dolls are out of the sunlight, henceforth, no mellowing, and also if I need to travel I can use those boxes as extra protection...not like they don't fit into a large bag I have.
But once more, I keep them just incase I need them next time XD (Also I am a major box addict XD, I collect anything box related unless it's bland and plain.)

    20. I store doll clothes in some of them, and others, I store accessories that I'm not using. I briefly considered getting rid of them, but realized I'd have nothing to pack my dolls in to travel/move with, so that was not a good plan. Also, I'm the kind of person that keeps the game cases for my DS games, so I really like keeping boxes, but was wondering if maybe they were taking up too much room.
