1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Nov 1, 2004

    1. I keep all my boxes shoved under my bed, with all the certificates and extra parts and stuff in them. I figured that when I'm dead or something, who ever gets the dolls would want the boxes too. That and when I move they'd be handy. The boxes I have a pretty nice, especially the pipos boxes. I'd hate to throw them away.

    2. I try to keep all the ones I get. Like others, I use the padding for the transportation suitcases, and use the boxes to keep clothes, accesories and even smaller boxes with more clothes and accesories. I don't think I will ever sell any of my dolls but if I ever do, I'll like to resell him/her in his/her original package. Though I throw away the foam padding in the boxes which use it (Elfdoll, Iplehouse EID, Fairyland Minifee...) Too much space and I can't re-use it for transportation. The limit must be drawn somewhere, after all...

      This is a hobby which needs a lot of room at my home!

    3. I had kept all of my doll boxes and shoved them all under my twin bed, So not to long ago I went on a cleaning spree and decided to get under the bed and get rid of the boxes since out off all the years I have had my Dolly's, only once have I sent a whole doll because he went and visited a fellow DoA Member.
      So I removed them all stacked them up and they reached up to my chest (I'm Five six)
      The only two that are not shown is my PukiPuki Box and the DoC Bag but thats all my doll boxes :doh
      I removed a lot of dirt under my bed that day. I added there names on the boxes lol

    4. I keep the boxes in storage, I rarely use them, only if I'm moving, or storing bodies while a head is out for a face up :)

    5. I use to keep them stacked next to my desk, but after moving back in with my mother (unless school is over) they now sit above the medicine cabenit in the kitchen. >.>

    6. i keep the boxes.. the shiping box and the pretty doll box. lol
      because i want the doll box to stay in good condition.

    7. Oh god, boxes. SO MANY boxes in the attic.

    8. I used to keep them obsessively... but then I started to realize that I'll probably never sell my boys. That, and the boxes started warping and falling apart from all the stuff I stuffed in them ^.^;

    9. I will probably keep my doll's box for his bed until I can find a more suitable place for him and once that is out of the way, I'll use it to store his clothes in.

    10. the shipping boxes get tossed out, but the actual doll box stays in the storage closet.

      I've seen a lot of people use them as beds! Which works really well with the pillow they come wrapped it. atm, all of my dolls have their own doll beds, so I haven't resorted to box beds yet....but if dolls keep coming at this rate, I'll be forced to! :D

    11. It's sitting in my bedroom closet, empty. ^^;

    12. I hord all of the random boxes I get ... so my one and only dollfie box is flatpacked and among them.

    13. I store whatever I can in them *their clothes, pastels, wigs, boots, watercolor pencils, If it has to do with my kids then its in their box ^_^

    14. Scrolling through this thread I found it interesting that most people just stash the boxes away or use them to store doll stuff in. I actually keep my dolls in their boxes if I'm not messing with them cos I'm so paranoid about yellowing or getting messed up. So boxes are stacked up by my bed with it's respective doll inside. Also you never know what the future holds so it's good to keep the box in case you decide to sell the doll?

    15. If you mean the doll case with cushinons, i keep them and use them as a bed. Well, actually since my dolls sleep in the same bed, it is more like a bed and a secondary bed for when i bring them around, because the other box is stronger.

    16. I throw EMS post boxes away.
      As for doll boxes, I store them in my garage. I enjoy looking at them in the morning.

      Unfortunately, they are becoming more and more wet :'(

    17. I've only got 2 boxes, but I'm keeping them for the packing, incase I sell and just cause I'm obsessive like that. I guess I'll hold onto them until I eventually have two of the same or no more room in that corner of my closet. ^_^

    18. The doll boxes seem to be everywhere. There's some in my closet, three in the dining room (dolls sit on them) and one in the living room (I pile DVDs on top of it). Luckily my hubby ignores the boxes. :lol:

    19. Immare, how many boxes do you have?

      lol, too many people have boxes in the closet =)

    20. antelle - Luckily only 10 of them, but our apartment is like a doll's house (= small and cute), and two EMS boxes on the balcony. I totally forgot about them, need to get rid of them.

      If I'm lucky there will be three more boxes soon...
