1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Nov 1, 2004

    1. I've learned that throwing them away is a bad idea (it's difficult to find something that will fit if you decide to sell) so I keep the boxes and store them under my bed.

    2. Right now I'm using Jade's AOD company box and pillows as a bed for her. She sleeps with the lid on and stays in there while I'm out at work or not playing with her, mostly to protect her from any dust, and also because I have no other place to put her. I stay in a very small flat (that's apartment for you US folks) with limited space, so she has to share room with my vast collection of Transformers.

    3. Yep, I keep my dolls in their boxes while I'm not watching them/playing with them. It keeps them safe from my dog and cat, sunlight, dust, and other harmful things. And then I know where to find them. I also keep the big brown shipping boxes in case I need to send them somewhere/sell them. And all the packing materials. This takes up a lot of space though ><

    4. Top shelf in my closet and under my bed (running out of space) :sweat

    5. I've got them all stacked up in my closet... I have the original box to just about every doll I have. Mostly because there's always the possibility of moving (which I am actually doing in a couple of months) so they're handy to keep. You never know when you'll need to pack or store them. Not to mention, resale - I think it's important to keep the box so you can send the doll in it if you sell it. I used to be the "I'll never sell one of my dolls!" type, but have now sold several and it's always been easier when I've had their box.

And in general, I like to have at least one really good "head" box in my possession - the little square priority mail ones are perfect - to use when I send a head to get painted or whatever. If they stay in good shape, I reuse them over and over and just use brown paper to wrap them each time I ship. It's always on my shelf if I decided someone needs a new faceup!

    6. I'm planning sew a fabric cover to store the box in but to use as a bed/sofa for my boy so he can sit/lounge and watch everything over the house while we're out.

    7. I still have all boxes, cause it is handy to keep them, I put doll's stuff in there. And I want to keep them so if I some day sell them, I can send doll in original box.

    8. I left an open space under the doll house I built just to store the boxes and they hold all the extra things like clothes and shoes.

    9. Yes, I still guard the boxes (in the cupboard and up of the rack) in addition they serve me to have inside their shoes, clothes and accessories.

    10. I keep my dolls in their boxes, when they are not with me.
They are protected from the pets and also dust and light that way.

When I have more space available, I think I might try to find them an appropriate cabinet and keep the boxes just to store their stuff.

    11. Oh I store the boxes away and definitely try to keep them. For one thing you never know if you need to resell them and would need that box and two, you never know when you need them packed in storage (for moving or whatever). so yeah I keep the boxes.

    12. Some are in my attic, and since it's a hassle to go up there, since you have to get the step ladder and use brute strength to get up there, they have now been placed in a stack in the closet, and remain utterly useless because I have a drawer to store dolly stuff in!

    13. Back at home, I put them in the attic... I don't throw them away because they'll become handy one way or another... Especially when I need to move...
Here, in college, my closet is all I have though... It's fairly big and there are 3 boxes so far but I don't think I can put any more than that.... So I'll probably ship the empty boxes back to home... Lol... :P

    14. one of my boxes right now is being used as a little trash can in my room.

    15. My boxes are used for clothing/shoes/etc storage.

    16. My box was used to store mine away to keep him clean,
      but since I'm away from home, it's most likely under my bed to store his extra pillows and other stuff;;

    17. Throw them under my bed basically...not sure what else to do with them.

    18. I keep the boxes and use them to store her clothes and accessories in. They're also convenient if you have to travel so they won't get all raggedy looking inside your purse or bag.

    19. I use my pipos baha box as a bed so at night time I put her in her bed so she is sleeping but in the day I take her out and play

    20. Yoru's box still has the packing material in it. ^_^; I've never put him back in it, but I think it's cool that there's form-fitted foam in there!
Korin's box is eventually going to be used as a doll carrier base, and Thyme's box holds all his toys and extra clothing. Sage's box I removed the cute pillow from and store my dolls' various costumes. When I get others...they will probably take up room in my closet. ^_^; It's good to have a safe place to transport them when I move!
