1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Nov 1, 2004

    1. I'm the worst packrat in the world in space, so I imagine I'll keep all the boxes and eventually convert them into something else, or use them to put dolly stuff in. Hell, I think I stilll have my pullip box from years ago somewhere ;)

    2. I keep mine safe in case i need a place to put my dollie c:
      In the closet usually ^^;

    3. I'm a box hoarder of grand proportions for almost everything. But my Hound came in a carrier, so I don't have a box for him (the one he was shipped to me in was kind of not a box once it was opened). My sister's Luts boy still has his box though, and it's underneath her bed with the cushions and his spare wigs in. Any new dolls I get which come in specific doll boxes are bound to be kept though. 8D

    4. I keep them in the storage unit I rent - otherwise they'd take up too much space in my apartment!

    5. I keep my boxes, except for Dollfie Dreams. For those, I just cut out the pretty label and toss the box (they're kinda flimsy). My resin girls are more fragile (they break/chip rather than bend) and their boxes reflect this by being much sturdier than the DD ones. Plus, the boxes Volks uses for the SDs are so nice! And furthermore, my girls are large--if I threw out their boxes, it's not very likely I could scrounge up an appropriate substitute if I needed one.

    6. I keep my boxes, but I put them under my desk and I use the largest for keep away from dust and light my dolls, so I can have them safe and close in every moment ^^

    7. I've been keeping mine. They're awesome for storing dolly clothes and accessories. They're also good for long distance travel until I can get a doll carrier for my girls. Even if I did get doll carrier(s) I think I would still keep the boxes.

    8. Keep em', when I go to college most of them will probably be put back in them for a while... there's no way they're going with me in a dorm XD
      Also it's nice for when you have to move them such as between houses, you know you have a box designed with them in mind *thumbs up* XD

    9. I keep them...sometimes I use them for storage sometimes they're a cat toy...but I even keep my anime figure boxes so maybe I'm just a pack rat >.<

    10. They're shoved behind a bookshelf. Never know when they could come in handy!

    11. I only have one doll but her box is in storage. It was a pretty box and I didn't want to toss it but I have no room in my house.

    12. I always keep the pretty boxes my dolls come in they go up on the top shelves in my closet. Sometimes I fear when I'm picking out an outfit they'll come crashing down on me. :lol:

      As far as the brown packaging boxes go I keep them around until I'm absolutely sure I'm in love with the doll and then I recycle them. :)

    13. I've kept some boxes and used the others for shipping dolls I've sold. The boxes I kept either hold doll accessories/supplies or other stuff around the house.

    14. I only have two full dolls so it's not a problem keeping them. XD Right now they're in a corner of my closet, with a whole bunch of other non-dolly boxes that I also keep because I'm a pack-rat and I can't help myself. ^_^

    15. I hope to someday have enough dolls to have this problem D:

    16. I recycle the outer shipping boxes, but keep the inner decorative ones.
      I have them stashed in the back of the upstairs closet.

      I kept them originally to store and transport the dolls when I moved, but these days I mostly hang onto them in case I want to sell one of the dolls. It's nice to be able to pass the original box and paperwork along to a doll's new owner.

    17. I have two boxes I've kept around because I like the size. Otherwise they've all been recycled. I just keep losing storage space every time I move so keeping them around seems less important all the time. Also, I hate storing things in cardboard so I don't know how much longer I will use the ones I have anyway.

    18. I've saved all but one box, and my BBB tiny didn't have a box. I don't use them, but just in case I want to travel with them to a show, I'll need something same to transport them in. One or two dolls I'll strap into a carseat, but more than that and I'll have to use the box. I'm also sort of a hoarder, because, in words of the great Samwise of the Shire, "You'll want it if you haven't got it."

    19. My dolls currently "sleep" in their boxes when they aren't on my couch, but I suspect I'll be in a smaller place in a few months, so I may have to change arrangements. However, I think in that case I'll just break the boxes down and keep them folded in a closet or something. I like their boxes, they're part of the collecting experience ^^;

    20. I kept mine and turned them into storage for all my doll's things. Like one box for pressed clothing and shoes, one for wigs, etc. :D
