1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Nov 1, 2004

    1. I have mine all under my bed stacked in there like some kind of real life tetris game. I have about 15 boxes but luckily most are from pipos. So not like all SD boxes, haha. If I lived in a smaller space, I'd probably stand them all up against some wall or something. The only thing I store in them are extra parts that belong to the doll whose box that is. Like feet and hands.

    2. I've kept all my boxes! They all stay in my room, the majority under my bed in a tetris like manner. I use them to keep BJDs in and also their items aswell like clothes, accessories, shoes, the cushions etc.

    3. I keep the boxes on top of the cupboard. In the future, I will need them.

    4. My boxes are stacked on the top closet shelf. The pillows/blankets are stored in there, as well as facemasks and any extra items they came with [capsules of eye putty, freebie wigs/eyes, etc]. I mostly keep the boxes because they're quite useful for packaging the dolls whenever I move.
I started using them recently, however, because I seemed to have developed a terrible habit of not emptying out my bags.

It started with Celyn after I got him because he didn't have clothes and I didn't want to mark his blank face/body.

Then Peth got put in his box because he's in pieces, awaiting a restringing with all the accessories and bits of his new outfit.

And when I went to anime club the other day, I had to put Kezzy into her box because all my small bags were full of doll and lolita gear I haven't yet unpacked, and I wasn't going to carry her exposed out in the rain.

Luckily Nym and Ikarus' boxes are still up there in my closet.

    5. I build a fort! Ok, not really. They are mostly stacked up on a shelf. The only exception is my Dragon Doll Uncle box. It was very very pretty and HUGE so it hangs out in the closet. I store his "optional" parts in it. I love my Puki box, it stays out on my desk.

They come in handy if I take them to a convention or a gathering... especially for those that need extra care and don't fit in the doll carrying bag.

    6. I don't have many dolls now, but I will. I plan to keep all of the boxes.

    7. I have kept mine in the corner of my room. It has his pillow in it right now, but I like everyone's idea of putting clothes and such inside. I plan to move soooo the box will be good for him to be in when I make that move :D

    8. I'm up to 6-7 dolls and for the most part I've kept the boxes. The only ones I couldn't keep were from ResinSoul. They were neat, too, with magnetic closures and nice paper on the outside. Unfortunately, they were also swathed in so much packing tape, that I couldn't reclaim them. Bummer! Luckily they came in their own carry cases, else I would have been peeved.

    9. This thread has given me some great storage ideas! Now what does everyone do with the awesome little pillows that most companies send along for packing? I have some adorable ones from Lati and Dollzone... but they just sit in the boxes under my bed >_<

    10. I have most of my boxes still, but that is because the Fairyland boxes are so cute and small so they don't really take up that much room. I just threw one away and I'll be throwing another away soon as soon as I get a container for the clothes in them. I just don't have room for a bunch of boxes and the big ones are up in the attic so I don't want to put more up there if I can help it.

    11. I shove them under my bed.
I only have two real boxes though. And since I put all random stuff I have in boxes, they might end up as stuffboxes aswell. I'm a hoarder tho, so those boxes will stay with me forever and ever.

    12. I always keep the boxes if they come with them. :) I can usually find room for them somehow since they can all fit in one box (A Souldoll box, those are huge!) and I just throw them on a shelf somewhere. I like having them for when I need to store them all plus the collector side of me likes having them.

    13. The boxes come in handy to put stuff in or for doll transportation. I'm keeping mine, even if they're drab light green BBB boxes. But I've seen the new BBB boxes which look nice.

    14. Sakura's is on the bookshelf since it looks like a book. Osiris' is in the closet collecting dust and Peitari came in a duffle bag thing that is also in the closet collecting dust.

    15. For right now, All of my boxes reside in my closet. One day when I get enough of them though, They might have to move to the basement. xD

    16. I have kept all of my boxes, and I'm glad that I did, because I decided to sell several of my dolls. The boxes are great protection for mailing! The rest of the boxes go under my bed. I some times I rotate the dolls that I have out, and store some in their boxes. works great!

    17. I store all doll boxes. After a few years, dolls in general are worth more with their boxes --
collecting vintage dolls taught me that!
I wrap the boxes, label them and place them in storage -- we luckily have plenty of room, being empty nesters.

    18. Mine are up high in a closet in the house. Well, the big ones. The Brownie boxes are used for storing doll parts and accessories, as well as a mini-trunk I have.

    19. Yah the boxes are a bit large especially for dolls larger than 50cm. But I keep my boxes stored in my closet (walk-in closet).

    20. I put the clothes of my dolls inside with the pillows, for tidy them
